- After picking up my 4736 original Holmes 750 I had sorted a few things out and purring like a kitten. Already have done a little towing with her. Stored under roof it's whole life.
Those have super low operating hours so they're great deals. Like all GM of that era stopping the rust saves the cab. That truck made very few tows but every base had to have one just in case. The USAF are dark blue and same specs.
I Have One it’s On a 2004 Renault Premium 400 HP Now IVE Had it on 3 Trucks , ultimate all Round Wrecker.
Awesome. The condition is spectacular. And rare. Thanks for sharing
This was a rotater of its day
Government always has the best stuff!
Bet there’s nowhere that puppy could go.Always wanted to see a side pull with the Holmes Heavy

Wrecker envy!

Man that's cool!
WOW
what’s the ton ?
Very first prototype rotator
Just an old twin line holmes, getting it done
@@Southized i know that trying to be fuuny.
Where and how much?
It's now in the shop getting painted. It will be 17k.
Sad that it never got used, it's the govt. way, it's either beat to death or mothballed. They probably paid 40k for it new and sold it for peanuts at auction, now that govplanet got the DRMO contract everything is way too much. We used to get all brands of CUCVs for a few hundred a piece in bulk at the Ft. Drum auctions, now they want 7 grand at least.
Don't pay it. Do you think that this is an ex-Airforce truck?
Don't answer that - I just saw the US Navy logo. lol
Not too much counterbalance there,!
Oil the poor chain! It's dead dry and rusty!
Exactly. Rusty. You don't oil a rusty chain. It embeds crud in the links. It was removed and cleaned when it went into the shop.
