Vohwinkel station Schwebebahn Suspension Railway - Wuppertal (Germany) - Aerial View 4K

In this video you can enjoy in aerial view at the Vohwinkel station on the famous Schwebebahn Suspension Railway in Wuppertal, Germany in 4K.
The line was originally called Eugen Langen Monorail Overhead Conveyor System, named for its inventor, Eugen Langen. It is the oldest electric elevated railway with hanging cars in the world and is a unique system in Germany. Construction of this suspension railway began in 1898 and the line was ceremoniously opened in 1901, with Emperor Wilhelm II taking a test ride with wife Auguste Viktoria.
The Schwebebahn runs along a route of 13.3 kilometres (8.3 mi), at a height of about 12 metres (39 ft) above the river Wupper between Oberbarmen and Sonnborner Straße (10 kilometres or 6.2 miles) and about 8 metres (26 ft) above the valley road between Sonnborner Straße and Vohwinkel (3.3 kilometres or 2.1 miles). Only four of the 20 stops run above solid ground. The entire trip takes about 30 minutes. More than 80,000 people use the suspension monorail on a daily basis.
In 2015 the first of 31 new vehicles Generation 15 or GTW 15 trains were introduced. Through the use of three-phase asynchronous motors, this is the first time that the possibility of energy recovery during braking has been exploited. The operating voltage has been increased from 600 to 750 volts. In terms of safety, an entirely new train safety system ETCS has been installed.
