The plain and simple truth, is that most computer users would be much better off if they used LINUX. Sure, its a different Operating System to Windows, but then so is an Apple Mac. Its free, and its very powerful, and apart from some applications, it can do almost anything that a Windows or Apple computer can do... I think as the vast majority of computer users only do Web Browsing, EMails, and basic Office things like write the odd letter, and watch a movie or listen to some music, then those people would be much better off if they ditched Windows and hell yeah, Apple, altogether, and just went with Linux. Whenever I introducxe Linux to a computer noob, I often offer them Linux as an alternative, especially when they are prone to virus attacks and the like, and of the perhaps 50-70 users that have gone for the challenge, only about 5 or 6 have asked to go back to Windows, and that is only because they seem to think that they need Microsoft Office.
