This is basically straight up nu-metal/hard rock though, I haven't heard any mainstream pop artists doing this recently, there's been a pop punk revival yes, but that's totally different to this genre.

I agree, they co wrote the song and even though it’s Halseys voice you can hear so much of their style in this song. They need more collabs, that much is certain.
She needs to do more of this, her scream gives me Lacey Sturm vibes, there’s plenty of kick ass female metal leads but something about Laceys scream is fucking intense and clearly Halseys got it too. She could easily be the lead in a kick ass metal band.

I haven't heard much Halsey, but this is definitely some of the best I've ever heard from her. The energy, the attitude... she needs to do this more often, if only because she has people like BMTH producing it. I know she loves rock/pop punk music, so she should definitely pull from those way more.
