The simple answer for West Bengal downfall is first Gandhi's appeasement to Muslims then his admirers Congress party also following his footsteps and then came the ultra-progressive communist approach and the final nail in the coffins was by democratic and secular rules of Mamta begum 😅...
Me being Bengali saying that the main reason of Bengal's downfall is- 1.Ruling political party 2.Increasing number of mus**ms Coming from Bangladesh with radicalised thoughts 3.Secularism in Bengali , Bengalis Have forgot to take stand against bads.even nowadays Bengalis has been so secular that some of us call muslims Bengalis.😅😅😅
I have seen both CPIM and TMC rule, I have seen when the oldest motor company Hind motor shut down their operation, I have seen when Tata motor moved from Singur to Gujrat. All of these were the reason for the increase in unemployment in West Bengal. Today scams like- Sharda, Rose Valley, Teacher recruitment, Ration scam are killing the common people and making them more poor.
Amartya sen is not an ironic example of todays WB's thought process. He represents it. Thats why it seems they don't have economic progress (courtsey if mistakes). The thing is that bengal fails to create a system of politics, economics, and laws that enables it to economically.
Downfall of Kolkata and west Bengal is difficult to fathom. Bengali people are well known for their culture, education, spiritual leaders, freedom fighters. Some how the creation of East Bengal followed by East Pakistan and the leftist approach to governance by the communist rule followed by Mamata's rule hijacked the otherwise rational society. The intellectual discourse lost touch with real world and need to stay focused on economy. Even today, Bengal leads other states in culture, music and spiritual aspects, but show complete disregard for the economic well being. May rational thinking prevail and economy get first priority for Bengal!!!
Well I am not a Congress fan, But Bidhan Babu ( Cong CM) was the best Bengali Cm ever.... So not Congress but Tmc and Communist , Today's Congress of Bengal is Very bad tho
@@brothergunns5055 nah before cpim there was Indian national congress from 1947 -1962 and 1972-1977. They are also one of the factors why industries couldn't sustain.
This time in West Bengal, the general election of India 2024 is quite surprising and fascinating. Unfortunately, we have to accept that we must choose between two dictators. It feels like both parties are dictatorial for the people of Bengal, and the politicians from both parties are corrupt. We don't have any better options than these two major dictatorial parties. Voting for NOTA or CPI seems pointless since both are ineffective. Congress is practically non-existent in West Bengal; they haven't nominated candidates for all the constituencies and aren't contesting seriously. It's becoming increasingly difficult to find suitable candidates to vote for. The people of West Bengal are confused about which dictator would be the best choice for us. Our only options are BJP or TMC.
Let's see. He was born into a bengali family. he didn't speak odia. :) He studied and became the mayor of Calcutta. :) orissa was a part of "BENGAL Presidensy". :) FInd your own heroes. Don't steal others. ;)

There was nothing progressive about the communists. Nothing to do with muslims as well .. Bangladesh is doing better than WB now

How did Bengal produce Netaji Subhash Chandra Bose if he was born in Cuttack (then Capital city of Odisha/Orissa) ??????
He is Bengali. Not Odia
Let's see. He was born into a bengali family.
