Thank you Greg, knowing the right structure in a simple way as you’re presenting it makes me feel more confident about doing well tomorrow in my test! Thank you for sharing 👍
Thank you for this video! I took the test last month and just got my results--met passing grade on first try! I followed your instruction and worked it just as it is: an essay question, no more, no overthinking just use TTQA and RAVE, add some academic like phrasing, like you said provide a 1 or 2 sentence solution and how this student's weaknesses will impact their reading. That's it! No fluff just go right at it. The questions GIVE YOU the comp and id strategies so all you have to do is plug them in. Thank you Mr. Mcverry!
Guilty of overthinking these monsters. LOL Thank you for clearing things up and showing us how to answer it without getting fancy! This will be my second time taking the exam tomorrow. Y'all pray! LOL
Thank you for this video! I take the test in two days and this video relived a lot of anxiety I had with the essay portion! Hopefully I can write a 3 scored response 😅
I am going to try and start doing each test objective in a small series video. I have many students enrolled in a literacy class who have not taken any other literacy class. Stay tuned to this channel.
Honestly I am glad I found your video Greg. This test has literally been nightmare fuel for me and I am just trying to put it behind me. I hope that this is the last tool I need to really get over the hump.
@@GregMcverry Greg I wanted to let you know that not only did I pass that test, I passed the national benchmark for it at a 252 (benchmark is 240). I am literally crying tears of joy. Thank you so much for making this video. It made my scores go from 1s and 2s in the writing to a 3 and I am so elated I can barely type.
@@LordStrell I only ask for one thing in thanks. Remember how we use holistic rubrics as key levers in conversations of writing growth. Create communities who use a writers' tool kit to focus on growth rooted in the mentor texts of the authors we love.
Thank you for posting this!! I retake my Foundations of Reading today. Praying I pass!!❤️
I'm taking my test today, praying things go well. I don't know if you have received your scores yet, but I hope you passed!

Thanks Greg for explaining how to write on one of the most difficult part of the exam.
Thanks for keeping it Plain & Simple and Right to the Point.

Omg! The blessings you and your family shall receive!!!! Thank you so much.
You are so welcome, I am gonna try to make a few more videos this week. Eventually re-record the practice session.
Did I automatically fail if I was timed out before getting 150 words on one of the constructed response? I think I had around 120 or 130 words.
Thank you so much for posting this, I am struggling passing this exam and you are making a lot more simple and understandable.
I am trying to make one video per objective and get those up as well, I will then remix while reading the items, good luck
Thank you for making this video simple and to the point! I take the test in a month!

If you need anything else let me know. Trying to work may way and have a video for every single test objective but it is slow going.

How does this work if the essay questions has to be at least 150 word count
Thanks for this lesson!
