------------
In this Broadcast Award-winning, BAFTA and Emmy Award-nominated entertainment show, Taskmaster tyrant Greg Davies (Man Down, Cuckoo), with the help of his loyal assistant Alex Horne (The Horne Section and the show’s creator), sets out to test the wiles, wit and wisdom of five hyper-competitive comedians.
Comedians that have risked life, limb, and dignity in the hope of making the Taskmaster proud so far include: Frank Skinner (The Frank Skinner Show), Mel Giedroyc (The Great British Bake Off), Romesh Ranganathan (Asian Provocateur), Hugh Dennis (Outnumbered), Sally Phillips (Bridget Jones’ Diary), Rose Matafeo (Edinburgh Comedy Award Winner 2018), and Russell Howard (The Russell Howard Hour). Unaware of what awaits them in each wax-sealed envelope, only one competitor can become the victorious owner of His Royal Task-ness’ golden head and be crowned the next Taskmaster Champion. - Комедії
I'm sorry. Richard wrote AND MEMORIZED THAT POEM IN 20 MINUTES and then recited it flawlessly while juggling flawlessly??? IMPRESSIVE
10/10
Also, his poem was quite good, with the flow and rhymes. Reciting it while managing to also juggle, that is quite impressive. He should've won, hands down.
Id go for Richard as well
IKR LIKE WHAAAAAATTTTT

here's another quote "I'm made for pleasure not speed"
@@sm79165 lmao was NOT prepared for that when he said it
Game recognize game, Mr. Mayor
"Well done, you've been on Google."
Katherine and the Mayor's last exchange was basically
- "You saw my butt, right?"
- "Indeed, I did."

i like katherines feet
He's a great straight man though, Katherine is hilarious but he got the biggest laugh from her section.
I think politician can be a very ingrate job. A lot of work and a lot of criticism. But, on that fateful day, when he saw the 42 god damn calypos, the Mayor knew it has all been worth it
as a french canadian who watches lots of UK programs: what the fk is a calypos?

I guess I'm singing "that's Peter Hudson you know you can trust him" the rest of the day
Yyyyeaaahhhh *dancing*
*top notch twerking*
"3 kids and only one came from his balls" xd
Lol me too 😂😂
Yeah but you can't. In summing up he mentioned Joe's ice lollies and beer, said fuck-all about the fifteen quid. Typical.
the easiest way to a mayor's heart is with 42 calippos
rooker and £15
Don't forget the lagers.
I like that Doc Brown was doing his own task, 'seduce the Mayor of Chesham'
He also seduced Fred.
Joe literally just went and bought out a shop's Calippos and still got 3rd place.
Should have juggled them
He has the most unexpected idea to be honest
its the calippos man... get me 42 and id do your bidding for a year
I mean Jon and Doc just sang an existing song rather badly so going to buy something as ridiculous as 42 Calippos and 8 cans of beer is more than those two did.
If I am a mayor and I know the peeps coming in are supposed to impress me, I expect something impressive. If one has the balls to just chug out a whole summer worth of Calippos and beer, that would impress the hell out of me. Simply because it's so stupid that I'd never expect it, but taken to an extreme level.
If only the store had 43 calippos
He ate one on the way.
43 would've ruined it because 42 is a number with great significance while 43 is just a prime number.
@@JSmellerM Pfft, prime numbers. When have Prime numbers anyone saved anyone?
@@jakethewolfie119 Some minister becoming a prime one, maybe?
Richard should have won that, his poem was great and he recited it by heart whilst juggling
Considering his visual condition, he does it all the time so whilst impressive not out of the ordinary.
@@JKLoans visual condition?
Gawd some people are basically just little kids. Look, mummy! The man can do two things at once!
Katherine wrote a catchy song and danced to it so technically she did two things too.
@@AlanHope2013 i highly doubt writing a poem in under 20 minutes, memorising it and reciting it while juggling is a common skill

How can this man sit in there with a straight face, that's the most impressive thing of all
Rosalind managed a straight face too, but that's because she's a fucking nightmare.
You have to remember, he's a politician. That means he's sitting in a room full of clowns all day
I love the "its all they had" answer
You are a bit young for a mayor?
'Yes, yes I am.'
Phineas and Ferb have entered the Chat
🤣
Jon’s saga and descent into singing kills me every time
Creds to Richard for writing a poem that quickly
And the same goes to Katherine!
And memorizing it well enough to recite while juggling!
🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣he wrote that a long time ago
I like how none of these comedians decided to do like a quick set of jokes or whatever it is they do for a living to impress the mayor.
Jon Richardson saying "Oh god" over and over while leaving was so fucking funny.
Five comedians are asked to impress someone... Zero chose comedy!!
*Four comedians and television co-host Richard Osman
uh Joe chose comedy everything he does is comedy.
@@hexingale He's a producer/executive.
You telling me you didn't laugh at all of these?
uh oh. I think that was supposed to be comedy. Brits are different apparently
Alex Horne has said that the 42 Calipos is his all-time favorite TM moment.
His hair said calippos to me
Now that is the most impressive part of this vid

I genuinely don't understand why Richard didn't win this. He wrote an incredible poem in a few minutes and performed it while juggling. I can't even remember things I've written down.
The last bit of singing done was actually surprisingly decent. I may not be the mayor, but I am indeed impressed
I know! It honestly was the most impressive thing in the whole video for me
Hip Hop Trousers: did not go unnoticed
That's Peter Hudson, you know that you can trust him, yeaaaah
jon's part is honest to god one of the funniest moments in TV history. the fucking pistachio eclair

This major must be very popular. Seemed like a cool dude.
jon's impression of a dolphin with strep haunts me in my darkest hours lmao
jon’s voice is so good !
What song was Jon singing?

RICHARD KILLED THE POEM AND THE JUGGLING. He should have won by a landslide damn :D well done my guy
I have strong second-hand embarrassment for situations like this, so this video took me 37 minutes to muscle through, with all the pausing, cringing, and having to go get ice cream to take the edge off.
Richard's was good though, and Katherine's clearly had effort put into it.
Oh my gosh, finally someone who gets it! I get this so bad and it takes me forever to get through things because of it
I spent less than 10 minutes, as I have to skip through difficult parts.
Was the ice cream a Calippo?
@@clashagstrom8840 They don't have that brand where I'm from but as I recall it was good Tillamook ice cream from a carton.
I'm kinda surprised Joe didn't just pull his pants down and go "here you go."
It was the mayor of Chesham not the priest.
I would have given first place to Joe bc of the originality of the idea, the balls to do only that and the fact that he was the only one who didn't do anything like a performance
Great! Now Katherine's song will be stuck in my head for another month!
Just here to remind you that you need to sing it this month too.
reminder to sing it this month as well
@@uhhhbobo Nooooo, I'm back
Katherine's research skills were on point!
IMO the funniest attempt at this task was done in the first season of TM Norway where one of the contestants just wordlessly dropped his pants as soon as he read the task, and then explained that he was going to pull them back up without using his hands 😆
Joe just went out and bought the Mayor's daily lunch for him
Kinda screwed Jon with that one though :D
Any significance to the 42 Calippos?
It's all they had
Are you easily impressed Peter?
**Folds hands on bench**
No.
“Are you hungry?”
“I’ve just eaten”
42 Callipos….?
Legend has it, he is still saying “oh god” to this very day.
“Are you hungry?”
“No thank you, I just ate 42 calippos.”
Alex’s lil face @ 9:24 😂
Leave it to Jon Richardson to bore in a contest meant for impressing, and still make it hilarious 😂
Jon is a better singer than I expected him to be.
"Fifteen Quid."
Joe: Good to meet you.
Mayor (meeting people expert): And you.
Joe (social niceties ninja): And you.
I stopped the tape there, cos I could see where this was going.
That poem was nice
I dont think any of my skills would give him good impression in 20 minutes,
so I quess I could give him bad impression in 20 seconds.
I would've done nothing and asked if he was impressed I didn't try anything to impress him.
I am shocked nobody attempted to impress him with the sheer audacity.
I might have done a dissapearing act: leave and don't come back.
In all honestly I wouldn't know at all what to do.
Props to Doc at 10:20 for having his mate's back.
Aright, hit them notes Jon
Catherine's music for the song sounds a lot like the song from Hamilton she does in one of her acts LOL
This is the best group of participants I've watched on Taskmaster so far😁
Literally the best show in the world. Such a creative show
How much did it cost to rent the mayor for a couple hours of filming?
It's only the third biggest village in Bucks; I'm sure he had the time
The mayor was probably a huge fan of the show
42 calyppos
@@QueenOfBrokenStone and 15 quid plus a few lagers
that mayor's hair is like so over the top cliche its hilarious
i am SCREAMING at richard's poem
The fact that Richard didn’t get first is almost upsetting
Richard killed it!
Katherine's song was brilliant. :D:D
This full episode is in the Taskmaster play list.
Ooooh, I'm feeling Jon's singing!
3:31 the ending of Guns and Ships from Hamilton
After the potato moment this is probably my favourite Joe Wilkinson task
Jon has a pretty good voice tbh
Doc sang off key more often than not. John could at least hold a tone. How the heck did this not weigh in? Is the mayor tone deaf?
I think Doc's confidence & commitment was a lot more impressive than Jon's hedging.
Jon's obvious uncomfortableness and unwillingness and general awkwardness probably soured his otherwise lovely lil performance. Doc at least seemed committed. Let's not forget Peter having to watch Jon be beaten down into singing.
@@alias3660 yeah it's not very impressive!
The awkwardness on both sides for docs attempt
Always great to see my hometown on TV
42 calippos -- the family is sleeping while I'm trying to laugh the most silently I can that is suffering from hypoxia.
Joe is a comedic genius ngl
Best task with the best quests!
How big is Chesham, considering that Alex could convince its mayor to appear just in the second series?
Edit: Then again he might be aware since the original Edinburgh Fringe special, there were 2 iterations there even before the first TV series, not that unlikely as Alex himself is from Chesham
Jon could sing just fine!
The real test of whether or not he's impressed is to ask him 5 years later which acts the mayor remembers.
It’s all they had 🤣🤣🤣
Are the jocking! Richard was impressive!
I'm impressed Joe bought every last Calippo and the number ended up being 42
These earlier seasons are so obscure

*gets on one knee*
"MARRY ME"
People are so used to seeing senior citizens as politicians they always comment "wow, you look so young" and its really mind-boggling. We need more young politicians!
Big up the juggler guy
I would have jumped into a split without warning😂 I wonder if that would have worked
Should've added to "that's all they had", that 42 is also the answer to the ultimate question of life, the universe and everything. Coincidence I think not.
