You can download a zip folder of these projects from this website (on the right hand side of the page under the link 'book projects'): www.bluej.org/objects-first/resources.html
That's very kind - thank you! I'm currently recording lectures on the fundamentals of Java (which relate to the initial chapters of BlueJ), but hoping to produce additional videos on the BlueJ chapters in 2022.
@@NicholasDayPhD hey Nicholas we really appreciate the effort you put on this! It made everything for me so easy!!! Are you going to do the other chapters?

Easy to follow and great explanation. Why is that in general, university lectures are not able to explain these concepts in a way that most of the students can understand? I am sure lecturers are watching these videos as they use as a reference. Would be curious about their point of view...
This is a very good question... I think some experienced lecturers or professionals forget what it is like to learn the subject for the first time, because it is so familiar to them... What seems clear to us, is not often clear to a student who is new to the subject... It's very useful to be reminded of this - thanks for your question!
Hi Jojo, have you opened the right BlueJ project that corresponds with this exercise? The method should be given to you by default in the first project.
@@jojoverdejo It should be provided for you, as the other methods are. Can you see other methods such as makeVisible(), moveDown(), moveUp() etc in the list when you right click on an object? If not, you may not be in the right project... Check you've loaded the 'figures' project.
Hello there, make sure to 'unzip' or 'extract' the files from the downloaded zip folder. On a Windows device it should be a menu option on the top right in the 'ribbon'. Or alternatively, right click on the zip folder itself and there should be an option in the menu to extract or unzip. Then, in the extracted folder, make sure you open the 'package' file - should have the BlueJ icon if you've installed BlueJ. That should then load the 'figures' project in the BlueJ IDE with the associated java files.

Hi there, are you referring to the BlueJ project called 'figures'? If so, that is provided in the resources that accompany the book. You can download these projects from this website (on the right hand side of the page under the link 'book projects'): www.bluej.org/objects-first/resources.html
Hi Ahmed, sorry for delayed response (you may have fixed this by now). If not, check that you have the Circle class in the project... Are you working on the 'figures' BlueJ project? Shown at 3:18 in this video.
