- I put this together to test iMovie HD. I strictly used loc and creative commons footage which offsets my offense of ripping off Elliott Smith, may he rest in peace. I wouldn't call this anything to brag about, but some may like it.
Once you can get over a breakup, but can't ever get over Elliotts voice ;(. I'm just addicted to his voice

I remember first hearing this song and getting the chills. His voice is so fragile and you could barely hear it, the instruments have actually beat and the lyrics are just wow.... it's perfect!
He's pleased to met you underneath the horse/ In the cathedral with the glass stained black/ Singing sweet high notes that echo back.... An amazing introduction for the Either/or.
i remember i didn’t like this song when i first heard it. then for the days to come the melody was stuck in my head. i couldn’t escape such a haunting melody. now i love this song and elliott smith. rip.

sounds weird but I used to watch this exact video years ago by myself. In my old house, in a different town, when it was first posted.It made me flash back to that time in my life and it seems like forever. Anyways, thanks for making this video. Cheers to all the memories music can create.

This was iMovie HD back in 2007 - seems like forever ago. The fidelity of this video screams 2007 though I swear I exported to at least 720p! I think youtube wrote this video off as an old/small fish and crushed the resolution to save on bandwidth. Despite the awkward resolution, slow-motion explosions set to Elliott Smith's music aged like fine wine.
@@n8hickups thank you that could help a lot also FYI one thing I'd like to do is put footage of old fashion shows with Crystal Castles music I'm afraid of that being taken off for copyright reasons but I might try
@@jx3821 I'd give it a shot. In2012 they took this video off due to DMCA, but I appealed on the grounds that it was "fair use". It's pretty grey. I get the feeling that if I was trying to monetize the video (I'm not) they might have taken it down. Even though I'm not monetizing, there are ads on my video. Revenue from these ads go to the copyright holder. In this case ad revenue goes to "Kill Rock Stars". Here's more on the topic: support.google.com/youtube/answer/9783148

This is silly, if you are addicted to Heroin you are a junkie. That deosn't take away from Elliott Smith's musical achievements, and it doesn't mean he was evil or anything, but lets be real here, he was a junkie.
