I used to operate a 125 ton Komatsu excavator 14 yard bucket in NYC.
My boss learned the benefit just like you did. The amount of work that machine could produce was mind-boggling.
I could load 40-ton cat articulated dump trucks in 2 passes.
I could pick and walk with 35-ton loads all day long.
Anyway, love your channel. Love the fact that you found the benefits of Big iron.

Hey Matt. Easiest way to decide what to call the new D11 is keep tiny 2, making the new one tiny 3, by the sound of it you need 3 anyway. 👍

I had the privilege of learning how to operate 1970s D8Ks as my first dozer and became quite good at fine grading before the company sold them off. I shed a tear. Treated them as my own. Always checked fluids filters and greased before I even thought about having a seat in it. Learned the correct way from guys with grey hair. I’m only 30. I can only dream of a day when the opportunity comes up to operate a D11 even for just one hour. I’m a fan of CAT and I’m bias because I grew up around construction companies that ran CAT with the only exception being Case backhoes which I find perfect acceptable for the simple fact I believe they have the best backhoe available and they were the inventors of the concept! Beautiful dozers. Well done. Enjoy every second of it for all of us!

Haha that was the most brilliantly timed intro to the video, great work Matt
Now we have to see 3 D11s pushing dirt, because like youtube demands it! And you cant get rid of tiny 2 cause who would pull the other 2 out when they get stuck lol
As always I love the way you're straight up about the numbers on these machines, and seeing Pete standing beside it brings home how huge they are
Love your work, keep it coming!

Tiny 3 is my vote, worked with a D10 a which was the proto type for the 11 they are awesome machines was around a D11 and a 575 A super dozer in soft ground backfilling . The 11s worked rings around the Komatsu 575 in soft ground . Love to watch you all

Hello, my name is Peter, and I’m addicted to buying D11’s! Lol! Great purchase and forward thinking. Very cool setup for hauling it. Here in Canada 🇨🇦, they would have to take the blade off to keep the weight down and the width for the roads.

Matt - I deffinitely would NEVER skip another video on the Tiny clan or other dozers. I liked the extra (long) details about the dozer story even though I've watched the previous videos. The new logo stickers are an excellent idea for each of the machines. Are you planning on adding the rails for the true patio effect? Just wondering - Are there refurbishment companies near you, btw? Not sure how much it would cost to put Tiny 1 or 2 thru such a program of refurb. Supposedly you do ride away with a like-new dozer at a fraction of the cost of a new machine. As always, it is great to hear Peter's thoughts and stories on the situation.

Good explanation on what the plan is . Your friend is also part of this whole way of thinking as well because he does need a machine but he may not put as many hours on it . The only other thing that I would do is it every thing fits is swap over the platform and handrails as well when you swap the blade .

Best thing about carting dozers (and tanks - the self propelled type), if you get stuck they have plenty of getup to pull your lorry out... Been there, done that... And there's something about 8 or 900 HP winding up that stirs the blood...

Wow i have to as that was some delivery truck !! Didn’t think driver would be keen on leaving the hard road with that rig, but guess that’s just normal for where you are. It’s often the case that you can buy the bigger older machines cheaper than the more popular sizes. Half the price of a similar D9 has got to be worth it

When he shut the Cat off he reved it before shutting it off, those turbos are still spinning at high speed revolution and now with the engine off they have no oil supply. That's how you wreck turbos - expensive way to "feel like a Man". Oil does 3 things inside a turbo; lubricates, cools, balances the roters on each side from exhaust to intake.

I operate a d11 T model tractor in the US on a surface coal mine. Of all the equipment I have operated over the years, including the cat 993K model loader, 992G loader. Konatdu 930 haulpak trucks. Even the Komatsu D575A super dozer. The cat D11 T is leaps and bounds far more powerful than any of the other behemoths caterpillar has to offer. The fact that you can square up with a boulder the size of a 2 story house and move it around with pretty much no effort at all. It’ll be hard to find anything that compares.

Some thing I would like to suggest, not D11 related, is to suggest you look for a rock crusher so you can process some of the stone you pick up in your paddocks, for use on your farm tracks, more so in the softer spots, and also staging areas where you load trucks in the harvest season.

    • @thejacksonbrothers

@@thejacksonbrothers Hi, we just picked on the worst bogs first, on the farm dad had, we got it to the point over a number of years that we could drive a road car from one end of the farm to the other, in most weather, that was 1970s, 80s, all the rocks were picked from the paddocks.
