Thanks for the playthrough, this looks like a great little card game which I could enjoy! Backed the PnP, shame that the shipping cost to Europe are crazy for such a little game.
I thank you for your service. I pretty much instaback all solo-friendly ButtonShys at this point (including this one), so my heart sank at the top of this video. Being too easy is the kiss of death for a solo game, so I’m glad they got it resolved.
Yeah it was... pretty rough before. I basically couldn't lose even on the highest difficulty. Now it's all good. And even more importantly, I find the decisions more interesting now. You used to be able to take 1 damage to your lighthouse to get a 3rd action each round, and your lighthouse would only get attacked if no traps could be attacked, so it was easy to abuse the bonus action and get in an unassailable position.
This one known as Mike is favoured by the Gods of the Card Draws! Thanks for saving the last lighthouse and keeping the light of hope shining on humanity! lol 13 quid or thereabouts inc. shipping might be worth a punt. Quick gameplay mitigates the luck factor imho, and it's one of those little set up and play to chill out games
A whole bunch, and I tried out two different versions before the current ones, but some main things: 1 - You could take 1 damage to your lighthouse to get a 3rd action (super exploitable) 2 - There was no tide mechanic to destroy a trap each round if it's in the leftmost spot, so it was easy to build up tons of traps 3 - Enemies attacked right to left not left to right, so the lighthouse pretty much never got hurt Those are the big ones I remember. Basically it meant that even on the toughest difficulty I never lost and used the same basic strategy every time. It's MUCH more tactical and interesting now.
If only I had the time, sorry! I have 13 more games on my queue at the moment. But friend of the channel Purple Moose also posted a play today… maybe he had worse luck than me - ua-cam.com/video/FbjSfwbuJH0/v-deo.htmlsi=GTgwMtkPBSSgTWi0

Love the lighthouse theme. There is also "The Lighthouse Keeper" solo RPG campaign going on now. Great start in gaming for 2024 for me :)
We gotta play them both while watching The Lighthouse with Willem Dafoe and Robert Pattinson 😜
@@OneStopCoopShop Damn ye! Let Neptune strike ye dead, Winslow!
@OneStopCoopShop come to my home country, Croatia, we have a few Lighthouses for rent, that'll really set the scene 😊

Yes, agree fully. So what if it’s a bit easier or harder some games, when the whole thing is 10 minutes long 😜
Can the same traps attack more than once per round? During both actions?
As far as I know yes
What rules were changed?

I'd appreciate another playthrough in which Mike doesn't draw so well to begin.

@@OneStopCoopShop Hey, wait a minute... (spoiler: my play went pretty well also!)
@PurpleMoosePlays darn it!!! 😜
