This is one of the many reasons I love Neon Trees. Aside from the fact that their music is pure epicness and when performing live they are flawless, they try to get the audience involved and I dunno, I just really like that. COME TO AUSTRALIA ALREADY!!

And some other bands were there, i could say i was the first of few to see these guys before they popped. Such and amazing band, back in the day this was the shit

Okay awesome performance and shitty crowd aside. I just want to talk about how kick ass of a drummer Elaine is.

Can someone please explain the story behind this to me? All I keep hearing is; when I was young I'd get really high all the time. Then, "I got these habits that I cannot break".
The song is about growing up and finding yourself held back by the actions of your less mature past self and wanting to move past them but still feeling young and connected to them and finding it hard to justify breaking away from them just as much, which people at his age that he wants to find love with might feel are a bit too much especially mormon people in Utah. The song is about not being sure how grown up he needs to be in his at the time late 20s and having trouble finding a lover or even just friends who can handle him.
That's how I interpret it at least.
