I added the GPS antena right on top of the CD tray in case anyone is wondering where to put it. The 4g antennas and sim card tray same as ROB. A huge THANKS to Rob for these videos. Super helpful. Installed in just under a few hours (would have been even quicker if it didn't start raining and then there was beer).
I was able to get the 4G sim card tray and the USB connectors into the glove box. I had to use a fishing stick (the kind you use for in wall wire installs) and stick it in sideways. Removing the glove compartment box (the screws that hold the entire glove compartment assembly) helped a lot in getting the cables routed there.
@@Schizyy not sure if it works for you but i put both mine right under the steering wheel bottom cover and it sits on that panel. This way anytime I need to upload or deal with the sim I can access them without worrying about glove box. Also the plug already connects usb in arm rear box too.

Hello! Does anyone have problems with the sound when receiving calls when the radio is playing through the in touch system? The equalizer doesn't seem to work for me either.
My Mark 6 for my Infiniti 2020 Q50 is working fine with the exception of there is still no sound or volume when I play through the Android side of the Mark 6. When I play music through my AM, FM or XM Radio it plays fine. When I play a UA-cam video it plays fine but without music or sound. When I go back to the screen to check my input selection it has automatically moved it to the AUX setting. Does the Mark 6 have an AUX out plug somewhere on it that I can plug into my AUX in on my Infiniti Q50? If it does, will you please send me a photo of where it is located on the Mark 6? I believe that will make it work correctly. If you of any other way to get this to work I would appreciate it. Thanks Robert

Just a quick follow up, because this might be a deal breaker for me. Are you saying the RCA analog outputs from this radio are not variable? They are fixed and DO NOT change volume when the radio volume is adjusted? I will need something that controls volume downstream before my amps?
Yes. You’ll encounter the same dealbreaker for every aftermarket option for the Q. It’s a restriction set by the car, not the device. That said, it doesn’t need to be a dealbreaker, just don’t use the RCAs. Use an LOC or LC7i like every other Q owner.
Alright I fixed it somehow I basically did all the wiring steps all over again and also spread out the 4G antennas to the each side panel of the dashboard and now i have 4G service 👍🏼
I left the sim card in the adapter and then proceeded to unplug and make sure all the connections were in all the way and in the correct spot. I also used the 2 black antennas and spread each one to the side panels of the dashboard. Then when i put everything back together the sim card popped up and i had service. @djokoben
Make sure you're holding down the physical home button for 10s after installing the SIM. It'll Force the unit to reboot, and then it should detect the Sim once it starts back up

Yeah the USB ports don't supply enough amperage to fast charge. Sometimes, depending on what's running on the phone, it doesn't charge at all as you mention. I only use the included USB ports for thumb drives and accessories, and have a fast charger hooked up in my arm rest to keep my phone topped up. Thanks for watching man, enjoy that MK6 🤘😎
Don’t know if mine was installed incorrectly but when I go to CarPlay it doesn’t play any audio, but I go to the factory menu from the top screen and go to Bluetooth on that I can hear my music, and then I switch back to CarPlay and it goes off again. Any help please?
When you do the 4g video for some of us can you also do the demo of the apk download off your site so we know how updates can get downloaded directly. Especially the UA-cam and Netflix off your site. Thanks
Probably, if you still use the OEM nav. But most people defer to Google maps or Waze or any other navigation app which is far superior to the OEM nav. If you use the apps they obviously won't show on the dash.

If I go into radio and turn on music it works but anything with BT audio it does not work. Like spotify or android auto map audio. 🤔 whats the issue with this. Help would be much appreciated
I recently just got mine installed and with Rob help and I was able to figure out that one of the audio t-harness was supposed to be connected to a port under the arm rest where your scroll knob is located. Look at Rob installation video and he explains where that audio t-harness should go. Once I did that all of the Audio for the mk6 such as gps and Spotify worked.
Bought and installed the unit and had one quick question, does the reverse camera automatically pop up when you put the car in reverse? I have to press the camera button on the console for the reverse camera to show up and even then it defaults to the front view or 360 view. Not sure if there's something I need to configure for it to automatically show the reverse camera when the cars in reverse
Automatically shows reverse camera when switching to reverse. Sounds like the units not detecting the car is in reverse. Check all your connections again, make sure all plugs are seated securely 👍🏾

I’ve been getting comments of distorted hands free call. I connected the external mic and place behind the screen, think that may be causing it. Any way to disconnect the external mic without me having to rip it out?
1. USER ISSUES!! These are full android screens, and they're integrated with the car. Some things aren't super intuitive, and there's a learning curve that's steeper for some than others. 2. Carplay/Android Auto - just my opinion, but I think Carplay/AA is crappy in general. Now when you try to run it in an emulator app on android, it can behave unpredictably (especially since the emulator/carplay engine/individual apps are constantly changing/updating). Its why I say carplay/AA is a waste. ditch it and run these screens as they were intended! Good question!!

hey, so i installed the MARK6 Aucar screen and for some reason the audio is not working when i come to use youtube or netflix or any app that has audio. but when i come to connect my phone to carplay on the screen it plays music from my apple music app. what am i doing wrong 😩

Having issues with Audio. The OEM still works ie radio and cd i accidently left in but Bluetooth via Spotify has nothing. Audio calls also nothing. Im going to re install incase I have a poor connection but is there anything else I could look for? Everything else is working well
Hey Rob I was stuck around how to remove or connect my mk6 to OEM nav gps right now I have the satellite puck which isn't great everytime. How do I connect it to OEM gps box do I need to remove it and plug it to rear
Tha MK6 uses the factory speakers for handsfree calls, but it uses it's own mic (it's a little hole on the face of the unit). If you want to use your car's mic, you can still connect the phone to the car via Bluetooth and take calls that way. That's what I did with my MK5.
@@edwardburns6719 no, I contacted support and they told me I didn't plug in my cables properly. But I highly doubt it. I realised the reverse and 360 cam stopped working after long drives or when I'm using the car alot for the day... so I'm guessing when the mk6 is hot, it stops working
@@andrewshen926 hey try holding the physical home button for 10 seconds and the mk6 will hard reboot (not resetting anything) basically like restarting the tablet and after I tried that everything worked more smoothly on my end. I was having trouble with the SIM card being able to recognize the unit and after I rebooted it it started to work. Rob gave me the helpful tip.💪🏿

G'day. I've downloaded the firmware updates on my cellular and I've noticed that in order to upload these firmware to my Mark 6 require the USB. I wanted to know the procedure in doing the upload cause I'm not succeeding in doing so. I have a Android phone.
so my issue is my mark FIVE workes good with apple carplay wirelessly but I cant get the android auto work wired. I plug the usb cables and it charges my phone, but no android auto.... APK version 4 something like that. can you help? or do i need a mk6?

Yeah CarPlay will work fine. Not sure about removing the oem nav unit (why would you?) but you should be fine considering some Qs dont even come with 'em

Just got my unit installed having an issue with no power/connectivity to the 2 usb cables that came with it - got this unit installed at a audio shop - does anyone know what it could be? They phished the sim card slot/2 usb cables to the glove box - when I plug my phone/usb stick into the center console it works (power) but doesn't connect to the headunit (only charge) Any tips on getting the usb cables working? Possible loose connection?

Sorry to clarify - the center console USB works 100% - it charges my phone/reads USB (However I cannot update the firmware using the OEM USB)- the problem is that the two USB Cables that came with the unit do not work (no power/no connectivity to the phone/usb) - What I am trying to do is use those cables to update firmware - I will take it back to the shop tomorrow and hoping it is just a loose cable.
I have a question. Why would I want to use oem navigation? I have it but have a 2016 that likely hasn’t been updated (in touch app now longer supported since the death of 3g) and I can’t imagine wanting to retain functionality for that since I would likely use my phone hotspot with apple maps 247 (can’t afford another sim line) i only ask because I am technically challenged and will have a professional install this unit and I imagine I would have to inform them of my preferences for all of this extra adapter bs also would some place like car toys be a complete ripoff for this level of difficulty? I want it done right and that’s not with me haha
Agreed OEM navigation is TRASH (has been since day 1 in my opinion). When I mention use OEM navigation in the video, I'm only referring to the ANTENNAS. You can either use the GPS puck that comes with the unit, or you can use your car's GPS antennas for a slightly simpler install. I really suggest installing it yourself but I totally understand how it looks intimidating. Just choose wisely: I've just heard horror stories about "pros" doing the install and completely botching it, then blaming the unit for the damage they've caused. These are plug-and-play units and its virtually impossible to plug something into the wrong spot. If your installer is cutting and splicing wires, you picked the wrong installer!!
Hey! I just received my unit today and I’m having a couple of issues if you wouldn’t mind pointing me in the right direction. 1.) The AC temperature control unit is set to display Celsius no matter what I have in the settings and I can’t get it to switch over to Fahrenheit. Is there something I’m missing? 2.) Is there a way to disable CarPlay from automatically connecting to my phone all the time? When I try to run the hotspot to use the android OS it always just kicks me off and puts me back on CarPlay. 3.) I don’t believe my FastBoot is working properly, The display takes a solid 10 seconds to boot sometimes even though it’s the MK6. Is there a setting I need to enable for this somewhere also? Thank you in advance! The unit is great so far apart from these few little issues

it should have come with a small L-shaped adapter to plug in the AUX port under your armrest

@@djokoben yeah, the way i did it the phone company asked for my “IMEI” of the device to connect you can find that number in the sim settings

Based on what you said, your phone's playing through bluetooth instead of CarPlay. Change the output on your phone from bluetooth to CarPlay.
I went through every single output while playing a song and none played audio while I’m on the CarPlay app.

It doesn't have any video output connections. The only option I can think of would be something that puts video out via USB.
One issue I've experienced is with android auto. It seems the image is truncated, and I'm not able to access the keyboard in google maps.
Try going into Zlink settings and disabling HD

Don't *have* to. You could use your phone as a hotspot, get a dedicated hotspot device, or just use carplay/android auto

@@HiaLeo yes they come preinstalled with apps that enable carplay and Android auto, whether or not your car was originally equipped.

hey, so i installed the MARK6 Aucar screen and for some reason the audio is not working when i come to use youtube or netflix or any app that has audio. but when i come to connect my phone to carplay on the screen it plays music from my apple music app. what am i doing wrong 😩
Probably have your car's source set to Bluetooth audio instead of AUX

Having issues with Audio. The OEM still works ie radio and cd i accidently left in but Bluetooth via Spotify has nothing. Audio calls also nothing. Im going to re install incase I have a poor connection but is there anything else I could look for? Everything else is working well

Hey Rob I was stuck around how to remove or connect my mk6 to OEM nav gps right now I have the satellite puck which isn't great everytime. How do I connect it to OEM gps box do I need to remove it and plug it to rear
Before I order will the AUcar MK6 also support the factory speaker and mike for hands free calling?
Tha MK6 uses the factory speakers for handsfree calls, but it uses it's own mic (it's a little hole on the face of the unit). If you want to use your car's mic, you can still connect the phone to the car via Bluetooth and take calls that way. That's what I did with my MK5.
After 2 weeks of usage, my reverse car cam and 360 car cam suddenly don't work. Some time it does some time it don't. Anyone face this issue too?

@@edwardburns6719 no, I contacted support and they told me I didn't plug in my cables properly. But I highly doubt it. I realised the reverse and 360 cam stopped working after long drives or when I'm using the car alot for the day... so I'm guessing when the mk6 is hot, it stops working
@@andrewshen926 hey try holding the physical home button for 10 seconds and the mk6 will hard reboot (not resetting anything) basically like restarting the tablet and after I tried that everything worked more smoothly on my end.
I was having trouble with the SIM card being able to recognize the unit and after I rebooted it it started to work. Rob gave me the helpful tip.💪🏿

G'day. I've downloaded the firmware updates on my cellular and I've noticed that in order to upload these firmware to my Mark 6 require the USB. I wanted to know the procedure in doing the upload cause I'm not succeeding in doing so. I have a Android phone.

MK5 and MK6 no longer require you to dig into your steering wheel! much easier installs.
so my issue is my mark FIVE workes good with apple carplay wirelessly but I cant get the android auto work wired. I plug the usb cables and it charges my phone, but no android auto.... APK version 4 something like that. can you help? or do i need a mk6?

If I do have the OEM navigation but am ultimately not going to use it, and am also opting not to use a sim card, can I just still use Apple car play with no issues? Would I be able to remove the oem nav unit?
Yeah CarPlay will work fine. Not sure about removing the oem nav unit (why would you?) but you should be fine considering some Qs dont even come with 'em

Just installed mine on 21 Q60 as well.
Audio is very weird. Have to go into intouch from the Mark6. Then all audio works from the unit.
Just got my unit installed having an issue with no power/connectivity to the 2 usb cables that came with it - got this unit installed at a audio shop - does anyone know what it could be?
They phished the sim card slot/2 usb cables to the glove box - when I plug my phone/usb stick into the center console it works (power) but doesn't connect to the headunit (only charge)
Any tips on getting the usb cables working? Possible loose connection?

@@sidcyber2374 weird. If it charges the phone, they're definitely hooked up right. Android auto and carplay are both wireless. How are you determining the drives aren't connecting?
Sorry to clarify - the center console USB works 100% - it charges my phone/reads USB (However I cannot update the firmware using the OEM USB)- the problem is that the two USB Cables that came with the unit do not work (no power/no connectivity to the phone/usb) - What I am trying to do is use those cables to update firmware - I will take it back to the shop tomorrow and hoping it is just a loose cable.

I have a question. Why would I want to use oem navigation? I have it but have a 2016 that likely hasn’t been updated (in touch app now longer supported since the death of 3g) and I can’t imagine wanting to retain functionality for that since I would likely use my phone hotspot with apple maps 247 (can’t afford another sim line) i only ask because I am technically challenged and will have a professional install this unit and I imagine I would have to inform them of my preferences for all of this extra adapter bs
also would some place like car toys be a complete ripoff for this level of difficulty? I want it done right and that’s not with me haha
Agreed OEM navigation is TRASH (has been since day 1 in my opinion). When I mention use OEM navigation in the video, I'm only referring to the ANTENNAS. You can either use the GPS puck that comes with the unit, or you can use your car's GPS antennas for a slightly simpler install.
I really suggest installing it yourself but I totally understand how it looks intimidating. Just choose wisely: I've just heard horror stories about "pros" doing the install and completely botching it, then blaming the unit for the damage they've caused. These are plug-and-play units and its virtually impossible to plug something into the wrong spot. If your installer is cutting and splicing wires, you picked the wrong installer!!

Hey! I just received my unit today and I’m having a couple of issues if you wouldn’t mind pointing me in the right direction.
1.) The AC temperature control unit is set to display Celsius no matter what I have in the settings and I can’t get it to switch over to Fahrenheit. Is there something I’m missing?
2.) Is there a way to disable CarPlay from automatically connecting to my phone all the time? When I try to run the hotspot to use the android OS it always just kicks me off and puts me back on CarPlay.
3.) I don’t believe my FastBoot is working properly, The display takes a solid 10 seconds to boot sometimes even though it’s the MK6. Is there a setting I need to enable for this somewhere also?
