Thank you very much for reviewing this. Your pacing was like a psytrance song it was so heavy. (I tried to skim through it but got so spaced out I had to go back). It seems to have a very reasonably good overload suppressor built in (I noticed when you had the feedback all the way up it didn't start really becoming a problem).
I somehow missed this video when it came out and I've just watched it. This thing is incredible! And as someone who works in software (but only has passing knowledge of DSP techniques), I'm REALLY scratching my head in bafflement about how the hell they coded this thing to work efficiently. Sheer genius!
Great review! So cool to see what others can do with it. Since I got this plug-in, I have played around with it in Ableton and it really produces some beautiful and super clean sounds. Lovin' the modulation capabilities. Just found this channel btw, liked and subbed! Will you be doing more content with this plugin?
Reminds me of the very old, but still good, Native Instruments Spektral Delay. It's a damn shame that they abandoned and discontinued it! Glad to see plug-ins inspired by it popping up now, like this and the one from Puremagnetik. Melda Productions also have one, it seems.
Great presentation, thanks, but can it work with very long delays and "long complex interpolations" to make ambient changes of textures. Thanks, Martin
It'd be cool if you gave a quick few samples at the start of these showcase videos, to give a starter idea what the plugin actually does before jumping in to all the technical talk.
I usually try to do that, but I feel like this plugin needs the technical explanation first and I struggled to some the capabilities up in a short piece of audio
This looks fantastic, but I'm just trying to figure out how much overlap it has with Melda Production's MSpectralDelay. It's certainly more accessible and user-friendly. The invert, shift and skew controls could probably be done in MSpectralDelay but not as quickly and easily. Anyone else able to compare?
This looks very cool, but I was kinda "sad" that the other curves do pretty much the same as the first curve instead of controling things like feedback, frequency shift, phase offset or dry/wet per harmonic. Additionally it would've been nice if there was an option to smoothly morph/interpolate between the curves without these little chops/steps/jumps. And, while already on the rant: One can see how often Dash tried to select an area and failed to move it (either because there were nodes in between (1:09) or because the click area was so narrow (2:24)) - this could use some quality of life UX polish. Overall this plugin looks like a spectral "chow matrix" with a little bit more control. I'll keep an eye on it from time to time and might buy it a few updates down the line.
Hi Lou, thanks for your feedback! If you deactivate step mode you can morph smoothly between the curves without any jumps, but to be clear the jumps are actually a feature to keep those delays in sync with the BPM. We allow you to decide which you need! We are always improving the UX and the featured curves for future updates, let's see what the future brings ;)
ill never understand why so many music production videos dont START the video with an audio example of what they will be talking about. 3.5 minutes is a long time to not get to the point. a minor quibble though...his videos are extremely useful.
You're right @chaosWyrM, I do try to put in an example when I feel like there is 20 seconds that can describe the entire sound, sometimes it's a bit tough with such a vast tool :)
@@DashGlitch i completely understand...if its not a huge pita...perhaps including timestamps might help people find the parts of your videos that are most relevant to them. and thanks for the great videos...very helpful stuff you have.
@@DashGlitch funny how people immediately grumble about that on literally the only video of yours I watched that doesn't have an audio example in the intro heh... I mean c'mon guys, use brain, before watching I was already like "hmm kinda hard to demo a delay in a 5s sample, plus this one is magic, he probably ditched the intro thing"... Kids have zero patience nowadays jesus. Anyway, it's a really nice concept! Probably the kind of plugin that you mess around with for hours just tripping at the weird bleeps and bloops =D I'm especially stoked by the panic button to cut feedback when it gets out of hand, that knife giving a clean and seamless fresh start on the sound without having to cut it all is a neat little detail ^^ Cheers mate!
hey Dash Glitch, how are you, i don't know how to say it, but you look kind of exhausted, are you doing really well, please take care of yourself, wish you all the best. greetings from germany

big thx to Gs-DSP for bringing this to iOS Plattform. We are a small and underrated community. Thx for the video and overview 🙏🏽🖤🙏🏽
Thanks for the great demonstration... I've just bought Magic Delay based on what I've heard here!
Your videos are magic!
That looks like a really cool plugin. Thanks for showing it off.

Great overview. Much appreciated Dash
Both Colour Copy, and this delay are very nice.
Thanks!
Don't use a computer to make music but this plug in is amazing and the possibilitys are freaking! You made a great review, thank you for that 👍

That’s a blast from the past. I loved that thing!

Damnit now I have to spend money again lol. Another sick tool for the Psy arsenal.

Nice one! Makes me want LFO for each parameter for all my synths :D
THAT can easily be arranged... 💁♂ (though it will take some time... 😅)
wow. imagine this on vocals

you might want to have a look at melda MSpectralDelay. you get all the controls there. it's a bit harder to set up though.

from 13:33 minute mark....good lord those voices. O_O
Thank you
This could get really cool on a send channel with a pitch shift.
Hit the link in the description and download it, it will work as a fully functional trial ;)
Can you recreate hallucinogen rubber stretch sound he has in Gamma Goblins pt. 2?
Amazing! What is the longest time delay it can go to ? Thanks lad. M

well, you got us.. please don't tell the others!
Spectral EQ, now a Delay. Im calling a Spectral Reverb next.
great review btw
There is definitely more to expect 😉
This thing can be a spectral reverb when it's not tempo-synced and in high frequencies :D and thanks!
@@DashGlitch Indeed! Deactivate step mode, create some crazy curves, dial in some feedback and you get really interesting reverb type sounds 🤩
High calming banana...
