Unfortunately, Arteta doesn't seem to agree. He doesn't seem to understand that a win is three times the value of a draw. He doesn't seem to realise that chasing a league title means winning games is so important you need to risk losing. Instead, his priority is to not lose, winning feels like a bonus.
I don’t blame him prioritising the defence more cause the attack as a whole isn’t clinical, so Arsenal will get just beat more if they go more gung ho. The club didn’t do enough for the attack when Arteta said they were short.

Yes but perhaps that boils down to Arsenal not buying in the summer. With Arsenal are competing in 4 competitions, Arteta should have known by now that the team is too small. Too many squad players who have subsequently been sent out on loan or sold for meager prices and not enough quality players including an out and out striker. Hence Arteta is over relying on our best players, e.g., Saka, Rice and Odeegard putting them more at risk from physical burnout and injuries. The bottom line is, Arteta should have known by now.
