Not for top 8, went out 9-12 being eliminated by 9 lives. They were in a tough group B which had 5 of last weeks top 8, so at least one of those teams was gonna be eliminated before playoffs (saturday/top 8)
the GSL format is pretty bad ngl. I mean rebellion had a situation where losing their seeding match would have benefitted them. I don't really get why this esport hasn't been able to get it right lately, but the GSL format is absolutely terrible. way too flukey even more so than any format we've had before and the seeding is all messed up and not accurate. I know that people will disagree with me on this, but this is just what I'm seeing. side note we really have to get some sort of region lock system in place because sure the teams just need to win, but as a fan it isn't fun to have foreign teams take your own regions spots there at least needs to be some local representation, and yet were seeing completely foreign teams come here to play and invade other regions as well. not good for the competitive scene. If you want to just make it an EU league then just make it one at this point
I don't hate the gsl, but I agree with the region lock. If the groups didn't have a seeding match or something maybe it could've been more entertaining, but it's tough. I would rather go back to swiss + tiebreakers like last worlds. At least we don't have to stress this at the majors. Worlds however...
Bro every time rebellion lose you criticise the format. They literally were in the group of life and almost choked it, you can't complain about seeding when your team loses to netherlamericanada.

What do you mean. Your letting fucking speed, wave and arju who are good but get top 4 in your regional. I don't think you have as many local players that the whole point as to why people go to NA and because it's easier to get a major spot in NA compared with eu given that for some odd reason they both get the same spots.
