Not only is she an instinctual wolf hybrid, she has so much power through her money that whatever she says, goes. I also like how the idea that the listener was her soulmate was established early, with how it was a traditional belief that she held onto wholeheartedly, committing to the listener even if she was skeptical at first. Even if we didn't see too much of the lamia's predatory hunger in her series, I have a feeling you're going to make up for that with stories like this or in other future works.
