A bit better than expected, but still not a fan of this guy. :)
Paul Webster - The Wolf from 2009 was a nice surprise, but later it was spoiled by the vocals (just my personal 'instrumental-trance-admirer' opinion).
A lot of tracks seem to borrow ideas from classics. For instance, at 10:58, "How You Feeling" starts with Safri Duo-style drums; the track at 18:04 might reference Kai Tracid; and at 44:32, there’s a Barthezz-style vibe with flashbacks to other classics. The first track is an obvious rework of Liquid Child - so why call it "Ben Gold - Diving Faces"? At least the remixes he played aren’t labeled "Ben Gold - Jetlag" or "Ben Gold - Hoipolloi." 😅
Despite this, the track at 59:56 was nice-it kind of reminds me of earlier Will Atkinson but with a Gaia sound infused. The tracks at 1:05:07 and 1:13:04 are probably the best ones here, but I’m pretty sure they aren’t Ben Gold. They sound more like a John O'Callaghan tune/remix followed by Bryan Kearney’s remix of some vocal Ben Gold track.
59:56 is Ferry Corsten - Just Breathe. Loved it ever since I heard him play it at ASOT. Been waiting for its release lol.

Think that is what it's like across all the whole rave scene. I'm 44 and go to clubs at least once a month. I see all age groups from 18 to 60. Does not matter what genre is playing.

I´m not sure any DJ at Luminosity is a day under 45. This is telling you where the problem is. Luminosity desperately needs to promote up & coming younger talent. But this doesn´t sell tickets.
@@Westhamsterdam 100% correct; there is a massive young group in the Psy Scene, Techno is another massive scene that has heaps of young people involved but sadly, not in this scene
Trance will always be popular with those lucky enough to see it grow from the mid nineties. Alot of youngsters just don't get it. Sad but true. I'm 47 and I love it!!!! 😉👍
@@Westhamsterdam nowadays when big edm DJs plays some high bpm music the crowd already ready for that, even when they play some classic trances they wont even bother and will dance. it needs little push, some PR marketing idk
