The way Ferrari has done the electric motor in this car and the hybrid system is exactly the way motor enthusiasts want. Insane sound and insane acceleration, still lightweight, and handles like a dream. The interior is a step-down. In my humble opinion, the GTC4Lusso era is the peak Ferrari interior, especially with the tanned leather. Smart screens, but physical buttons, and good looks.
Gotta say the iphone 14 pro records some really nice looking video! Absolutely usable in a youtube video. The only thing that bugs me is the lens flaring which also happened with the 13 pros
I may be wrong, but I don’t think the front splitter and side ducts are active aero like mentioned in the video. They only active aero is the rear wing. Active aero implies that the component dynamically responds to changes in circumstances, which I don’t believe the static front splitter and side channels are doing
Yeah, weird conclusion here. Are there lots of supercar owners getting up super early in the morning in densely populated neighborhoods? Even then, you don't have to hammer it out of the driveway. Seems like an expensive solution to a non-problem.
@@___echo___ Before I give my idea about the mechanical reasons, I'll note that every automotive journalist has said this time and time again for every one of these hybrid supercars, they have no steering feel, perhaps with the exception of the holy trinity. But yes to the SF90, the Artura, the NSX, and the 296GTB. I think the reason is that the electric motors are connected to the front wheels, one motor to each wheel so that torque vectoring is possible. The problem with doing this is that if you tuned the steering rack to be responsive you'd feel the wheel yanking itself out of your hands every time the torque vectoring engaged while going around a corner, so they have to essentially have the steering be overly boosted to the point where it's completely numb and doesn't react to what the front wheels are actually doing, in the same way that a stick on a game controller doesn't react to what your character in the game, there's no feedback.
I don't wanna be that guy but I guess I am. Active Aero is when a part of the car moves manually or electronically to change the aero of the car (like the spoiler at the back that you explained) the front end is just normal passive Aero beacuse nothing moves, the surfaces are just design to move air by their shape not by their movement. I just wanted to point that out to avoid confusion.
Super excited for this video, because my dream was to someday do a built motor in my WRX, a built EJ, but now that has shifted to someday I want to electrify it. I really hope more and more people develop kits and systems that can be easily put into any car. As motors and batteries get smaller, seems logical. In my perfect world it'd be 4 small motors, but I'd be fine with even 1, because I like symmetrical AWD.
The best looking Ferrari since the 430 imo. If hybrids and electric are Ferrari's future, there's not much they're doing wrong. The capacitive touch everything in the interior is the only issue i see
a lot of you dont understand that it's a real fight out there to make cars in which the interior doesnt age. If you look at a 2016 car right now, it already looks ancient (from a young person's perspective). So that's the reason for the lack of analog. That's it, and I fully get it. Also, like it or not, small v6s hybrids are the near term future of the fastest cars (on track at least), and fully electric ones are the future of all cars. Just accept it at this point.
Yeah definitely with you there on the touch screen vs actual buttons- anything I *need* to operate while driving I need to be able to do without looking away from the road, you need to be able to adjust the climate control to keep the windscreen clear/to stop yourself boiling alive so that needs to be something you can do by touch. I jsut think it's really dangerous to have design features that require the driver to look away from the road whilst driving.

@@sharonbraselton4302 omg 😱 do you know how expensive they are 😂 if I win the lottery I might but otherwise I’m just gonna have to live with the Internet 😂
Personally. I’m way more interested in plug-in hybrids than EVs. Not all are good, of course, but I’ve seen some awesome ones! They feel way more practical for the majority of use cases than a full EV. Obviously there’s nothing practical about THIS hybrid, since it’s a Ferrari and they don’t make practical anything… but it’s the same idea. We need more cars like that. This car looks awesome. I wouldn’t buy one (if I could, I mean, because I can’t) mainly because I’d be afraid to park it anywhere but also because those stupid capacitive buttons are so much less safe and more obnoxious. Capacitive buttons are not part of the 20% or so of a Tesla that’s worthy of copying, but rather the 80% that’s terrible.
It would be really interesting if Marques could review the Audi RS Q e-tron (Audis Dakar 2022 race car) as it has an interesting approach to hybrid cars.
True, the Tesla is an insane drag race car and not as agile on a track like Willow Springs or Laguna Seca, but it not designed to be. Like you said, it's a 4 door sedan designed as a family car for daily driving. And it's amazing that it can keep up with full-on sports cars at all. The Tesla Plaid did amazing at the Nurbergring and at Willow Springs for such a heavy sedan. Let's see how the Tesla Roadster does next year.
I'm hoping that rotary engines might come back with these hybrid performance cars. They are super small and light while still producing good power, which is perfect for hybrids giving more space for batteries and motors while still keeping the weight down. And of course you also get the amazing exhaust sound

Sorry for beeing a bit offensive in my Last reply. I Just don't think that a Rotary engine has a Future expecially because combustion engines already have No Future.
I got my hands on a 2015 Tesla back in 2017 P85. Even with 197k+ I can still smoke anything off the line and most of anything in 1/4. The amazing thing about electric cars is that they can be the most insane and fastest car you driven or they can be a family sedan like Marquis mentioned
Me when I heard about the tiny range of the electric motor: "What the hell is that even for?!" Me after I hear MKB explain the residential pull in/out reason: "Alright cool. I hate those loud ass engine noises, so this is a wonderful compromise, but I really hope people use it for that, because if it's not used, then it's pointless"
Actually, the point is that it gives you the instant high torque off the line that a gas engine can't produce until its revs get up into its power band. Without that innovation, even the most powerful sportscar would get embarrassed by an ordinary Tesla.
Who remembers the holy trinity Top Gear Episode? Or was it the Grand Tour already? Anyway - flashback vibes. Technically Porsche and soon Rimac-Bugatti will have the most impressive hybrids tho

I swear you're 4k looks better than everyone else's 4k.
It's not better, it's just a sharper image. Shot with an iphone. I prefer the smoother, softer look personally.
@@TheShaddix imo the video looks oversharpened
yeah especially in the first bit it seems the phone made up a ton of skin detail. i thought phones normally do the exact opposite there and blur it slightly to smooth over pores
Man that thing is pretty to look at. I don't know how Italians do it, but their cars (nearly, i see you Fiat Multipla) hit the spot.
Have to say, the benefits you described are essentially how I feel about my Jeep Wrangler Rubicon 4xe. No, it's not going to be a road trip car in electric-only mode. But can I just drive around town for shopping and job commute in electric-only? Absolutely, yes. Gas is there when I need it, but for workaday driving, I almost never need it.
Yep hybred plug in hybred best
This auto focus channel is really really good. I’m glad to see Marques is also a gearhead. But this is pretty. It’s not a 458 or an F12, but it’s pretty, like most Ferraris.
Sick car! Never knew that Ferrari was even making an electrified car
Laferrari 👀.......
Sf90👀
Everybody will make electric cars in the future regardless if they want or not.
@@travisreaction3221 LaFerrari is a hybrid gas vehicle
@@travisreaction3221 The LaFerrari couldn't move under electric power. It's more of a KERS system.
@@dom4591 and so is this car
Thank you for not calling it a frunk. Doing gods work
Engine ignition beep was certainly designed by Ferrari’s F1 strategy team 😂
As annoying as getting to the pits and realizing they don't have your tires yet. You get the true Ferrari experience.
@@technik27 lol
it's so sharp he's looking pixelated
you make good videos man, love the phone-camera only on this channel as well. you are the top 3 youtuber i think and your getting my oscar if i had one
It is amazing to see how much technology came from the F1 series into production vehicles. I just get that claustrophobic feeling in these cars, being 6'4" and not all that flexible it is a car for me to enjoy by looking at it.
Great video Marques. I think when I own a Ferrari I will probably have a property so big my neighbor will not wake up even if I drive away with v6
Nopt. Mider ice sold kike hybr ejrc.
Yeah, weird conclusion here. Are there lots of supercar owners getting up super early in the morning in densely populated neighborhoods? Even then, you don't have to hammer it out of the driveway. Seems like an expensive solution to a non-problem.
That V6 sounds awesome👍
Love how they use the electric part for the instant torque but then use the noisy engine for awesome feeling ❤
Acura NSX
@@shawoo No steering feel. Although it's not like any of these hybrid supercars have any steering feel either so there is that.
@@CockatooDude why would it not have good steering feel
No, this is a backwards move to cater to outgoing generations.
My man's putting out banger after banger recording with his phone 🐐
If I was doing a test drive and heard that beeping every time the car started, I would immediately try something else. What a racket
Wrobg
In my perfect world it'd be 4 small motors, but I'd be fine with even 1, because I like symmetrical AWD.
this was shot on an iphone? holy!!! the video quality is so clear and crisp.
I think it would be epic if Marques daily drove this and gave us updates about it
The best looking Ferrari since the 430 imo. If hybrids and electric are Ferrari's future, there's not much they're doing wrong. The capacitive touch everything in the interior is the only issue i see
‘’Courage taught me no matter how bad a crisis gets ... any sound investment will eventually pay off."

@Dan Romero Thanks for replying me, I've heard so many people talk about investment but none had said how to do it right.
Am hoping on you can explain more on how you make extra income from investments
This is awesome, please can you be of an assistance to me how can I connect with your broker?
@Dan Romero OK thanks
Great video, very intresting car but I still can’t believe the fact that everything was shot on an iPhone 14 Pro!! Looks fantastic!
9:20 "It's not a normal charger that you see on other electric cars"
> Shows the standard J1772 socket that every EV has except Tesla😁
a lot of you dont understand that it's a real fight out there to make cars in which the interior doesnt age.
Awww this is so cool.
Hey Marques, Can you pls have a look at the tata Tiago EV of India and comment how it is?? This is indeed the cheapest available EV in the world for around 💲10,000. What are your reviews on that??
You should do an interview with Christian von Koenigsegg, he has embraced efficiency in his cars. Making 3-cylinder hybrid hyper cars!!!!
Enjoying a car isn't about the performance as much as it is about the nature of the performance.
the 1968-1974 Dino, arguably one of the most beautiful Pininfarina designs and arguably one of Ferrari's best sports cars, carried only “Dino” badges from the factory.
So what you said in your video here is true, this is the FIRST "FERRARI" badged V6, and I WANT ONE!!!!
buy it
@@sharonbraselton4302 omg 😱 do you know how expensive they are 😂 if I win the lottery I might but otherwise I’m just gonna have to live with the Internet 😂

Buy q wtron
The emotor is sandwiched between the ICE and Transmission. It's in the P2 hybrid configuration 👍
Man the sharpening on that cam went nuts
296 gigaterabytes? thats a lot of gigaterabytes

parking next to lucid and getting the reaction was gold 😂😂
I'm hoping that rotary engines might come back with these hybrid performance cars. They are super small and light while still producing good power, which is perfect for hybrids giving more space for batteries and motors while still keeping the weight down. And of course you also get the amazing exhaust sound
And they have so incredibly Bad emissions that you can't make them for the streets
@@saftschubse9575 the rx8 is street legal and is NA and also not a hybrid. It’s definitely possible
@@GTXgb-gt8lz It seems that you don't know anything about emission regulations. The rx8 is really old and has much easier emission regulations. Euro6 is much Harder and euro7 will be insanly more strict
@@saftschubse9575 you're right I don't know shit about emission regulations, especially not in countries other than the US. Isn't mazda putting a rotary in the mx30 though? I know the mx30 is far from a sports car but maybe if it works well they will stick the hybrid rotary setup in a sportier car
@@GTXgb-gt8lz Yes but it is not relased yet and it would just be a range extender with 15 kw of power. Such a tiny motor whiche can ne perfectly optimised for a constant rpm has much less emissions than a 20 Times more powerfull engine which has to be responsive and work are different rpms. Sorry for beeing a bit offensive in my Last reply. I Just don't think that a Rotary engine has a Future expecially because combustion engines already have No Future.
I love Nissan e-Power. Like this Ferrari small engine will charge the electric so you never have to worry about charging.
The fact that the engine just ceases when you hit the electric mode is just hilarious to me 😂
This car suits you! :D Awesome video! Keep it up ;)
Unreal that phone cameras look this good, simply impressive
It looks good but is still miles away from proper cameras. Just won’t matter during casual use like this.
A 2-minute test drive wouldnt have been that bad!
Electric Horse
I got my hands on a 2015 Tesla back in 2017 P85. Even with 197k+ I can still smoke anything off the line and most of anything in 1/4. The amazing thing about electric cars is that they can be the most insane and fastest car you driven or they can be a family sedan like Marquis mentioned
Me when I heard about the tiny range of the electric motor: "What the hell is that even for?!"
Me after I hear MKB explain the residential pull in/out reason: "Alright cool.
It's almost weird seeing Marques with a car with a combustion engine
