I use razor blades religiously every day and I think I’ve cut myself once. And I can’t recall a time I have But I’m sure it’s happened before.

I think since this video, promag is making a 19 and possibly a 24 round mag. I am not sure on the # of rounds but I think 2the 22 rounds is about right.
Nice job, I use Flat nips to cut off the Glock tabs & then hit it with a file! Carry on

2a3d Print Razor blade slips are no fun!
G44 owners, inspect your firing pin sleeve. Mine has several thousand rounds through it, and it has been trouble free until now. The firing pin is hammering out the slot in the sleeve, and the plastic is curling up. You can see if yours is doing this without removing the slide cover. If you do disassemble it, and have this defect, Glock will blame you for improper disassembly.
glock customer service is piss poor. you have to buy the whole firing pin assembly for $50 to get that $5 part. glock doesn't offer sleeves for the 42,43,or 44. my friend at Farrowtech.com makes an aluminum spacer sleeve that i have tested extensively. they are great and end the worries of the spacer sleeve excessive wear of the 44. i have aluminum spacer sleeves in all my HK VP 9's and they run great as well.

Scott B look at the tabs on the spring assist, they will hit the bottom of the cutout and they will prevent the follower to go to the necessary depth to add the extra rounds
How reliable is the mag with extension?
Just as reliable as without.

I just took apart a magazine like I've done hundreds of other times. Put it back together and now the spring has lost the proper amount if tension to feed a full 10 rounds. Idk what i did to mess it up so be careful guys, these sorings are sensitive to being manipulated.
Legion93 we’ve never ran into that issue, we’ve stretched and pulled and put these extensions on and off over and over and never had a problem. Did you lose tension for the 10’rounds with the factory base plate? The springs are long enough to feed the 16 with the extension without being stretched.
@@2a3dLaser I think I did it by using a thin screwdriver to compress the spring. I had already taken the factory spring assist off. I slipped a screwdriver in between the coils and through the witness slot. I actually was trying a +2 plate from a G19 mag. It fed 3 rounds live fire and then closed on an empty chamber. The spring was binding up somehow in the mag.
Anyway i took it apart and noticed the spting was deformed. I soent about 10 minutes twisting and compressing and strethching the right coils to make the spring look normal. Put it back together with factory plate and loaded 10 rounds in without it binding. Ill probably shoot it tomorrow to make sure it's fine. Have you ever made a +2 Glock plate work? Seems like the spring needs that foot that it sits in with the regular mags.
Legion93 we don’t need to try 9/40 extensions for 22LR when we have these available.

Haha there’s people with 8,000 rounds through one of our extensions. I have a bit over 5,000 through ours and I’ve never had an issue. I believe it was earlier model
44’s that had a lot of issues.
