Hi Shona... to bring your glassware back to its original shiny glass, u can add vinegar and baking soda. Make a thick paste and add to your glassware n leave for 30min and then spray some vinegar again and then rinse. It should work. U can also use barkeepers friend as well. Hope this helps.

Shona same thing happened with me, I am also using same dishwasher but some utensils are having white patches(thanks to Bangalore's water hardness level) so to remove white marks on those, I am filling up sink with water and adding vinger in it and keeping those utensils in that for few hours, after that cleaning with normal liquid shop, its working for me.
Also when I called service guy, they changed setting according to hardness level and one more (L and H) you can find that in manual

Hello Shona, need to ask you one question, is it very important to go according to vaastu at home? It's pretty confusing. Don't keep the artificial plants at home, or the temple should be facing the east side.
Avoid placing artificial plant in bedroom and North West. Pooja mandir can be anywhere except south . Best direction for mandir is N, NE, East but west is also good
