Here's my cover of the rumbling! This is probably one of my favourite attack on titan openings of all time honestly. It didn't get me on the first listen to be honest. And even after 10 listens it still didn't make it for me. But while arranging and repeatedly listening to the song, I absolutely fell in love with it. It has a very powerful and catchy vibe to it.
Any of you caught up on Attack on titan? To be honest I haven't followed the anime actively in a while (tho I'll definitely rewatch it in its entirety once it's all complete and released!) I did however read a major portion of the manga and so I have a decent idea of what's going on. How are you guys finding it? Does it live up to it's expected hype as the final season?

0:12-0:15 Probably the most challenging and fun part to play
0:37-0:40 3 hand cause why not ;)

0:51-0:54 Not sure how I came up with this but it was pretty hard to nail every recording
0:55 Might not be noticeable but the RH isn't playing just a downwards arpeggio, it's more in the style of Chopin's Ballade no2 (Blocked arpeggios)

best cover of the rumbling i've heard so far. this season's OP wasn't my favourite at first but it grew on me as each episode aired LOL. i love the intensity and ferociousness of this cover. you truly nailed it. also your speed is crazyyyy, i wish i could play like you!

HANDS DOWN, my favourite arrangement of The Rumbling. Those arpeggios are crazy accurate and made this sound freaking epic, as epic / perhaps even more epic than the original I dare say. *hits replay button

I'm still not sold on the OP, but it might also be because such heavy rock is not quite my cup of tea. Your arrangement however is absolutely phenomenal and really brings out a side of this OP that makes me like it more than the original lol Incredibly crisp runs everywhere and such powerful playing, even the piano almost turned into a titan. And 10/10 thumbnail. Awesome job man!!

That overhead angle with the reflection adds another fresh perspective to your playing.
Not to mention the fantastic arrangement and playing ofc, really good left hand control and the overall direction of the whole arrangement is incredibly well done, especially that final build up!!!

Amazing cover, the crispness and that speed of the arpeggios in this piece was amazing. One question, at 0:55, given how much work the left hand is doing, how do you keep the right hand melody standing out from the accompany on the left hand? Is it a case of pedal timing or how you strike / time the notes?
Thanks for the comment! The easy answer would just be that I'm playing the melody "louder" but i don't want that to be misinterpreted as hitting the keys harder.
I'd say pedalling definitely helps! Clear pedalling between phrases will make sure the bass isn't mixing too much.
I'm also holding back slightly on the left hand, so besides the first downbeat octave of each beat (left hand) the rest I'm playing slightly lighter. Not super light as you can tell but I'm still using more weight on my right hand to bring it out.
It's a lot about hearing and adjusting! If while playing i find the right hand not loud enough, I'll adjust by making the right hand heavier on notes and less heavy on left hand

Nice arrangement, for some reason it feels a little fast for me at some parts.
