I recently made something similar as a milling exercise to reacquaint myself with milling after about a 50 year gap having just been given a micro mill. I was about to make a second one to act as a rear carriage stop when my eye fell upon a 120mm off-cut of 1 inch aluminium bar. This nestles perfectly in the channel in the centre of the bed and when backed by the tail-stock acts as a very adequate rear stop for the carriage. I'm nothing if not lazy 😊
Nicely done. You've inspired me to make one for my SC4. Thank you!
