In my opinion, It's a good time to take a beat up 401k and do a Roth Conversion if your stocks are really beaten down. Then you'll only pay taxes on the much lower current prices, and your Roth will be tax free.

Ok, I am sold. I will HODL my VRITKN7000x for the long haul.
If we are being truthful to ourselves, just like the rich, taxes can be a big pain. Income tax, value added tax, property tax, etc. Paying taxes is good, but we could also create our own tax havens. I personally put my money mostly in the stock market, since its appreciation is not taxable, and then when I sell, I find ways to make the income non-deductible in taxes. I 'm currently sitting on more than $327k of cash, and I'm definitely throwing it in the market. Just thinking of how to not lose it all, since the market is red.
It upsets me how simple things like this are not taught in school, and then people complain about taxing the rich everyday, as though the rich should pay for their own ignorance. I have been doing the same thing myself, using the market to shield myself from the market. But I hate making mundane decisions, so I just invest through an advisor, making good profits, avoiding taxes, while doing very little work.
@@Shultz4334 I've been doing this same thing myself. Can't get into trouble with the IRS when I have no income and all my money is in stocks. I don't like doing the work though. Lol. So I just invest through an advisor who does the stock picking. My money grows, and I'm tax-free.
I really don't like making such recommendations, because everybody's situation is unique. But there are many freelance wealth managers you could check out. I have been working with "Stacie Kristal Weber" for about four years now, and she's really, really good. If she meets your discretion, then you could go ahead with her. I endorse her.

Great video. We are all seeking for financial independence and a better way of life. This is not difficult to achieve with savvy investing, a frugal lifestyle, and cautious budgeting. I'm glad I learned early on to work hard for financial independence. As Warren Buffet said, he has seen this happen many times in his life. Not an investor, My husband and i never earned more than a middle class salary. We plan to get retired at 58 with a stock portfolio worth $4M. We have never sold so much as one share of stock.
Most people do not understand the power of compound interest or are just impatient. However, for the average Joe, I think it's better to invest in the S&P 500 and wait, which is reliable, albeit extremely long: many years, or just use an investment advisor and speed up your wealth creation. Most people underestimate the power of the latter.

My opinion is probably heretic, but I really believe Jerome Powell is working based on reports on inflation figures. We can't really tell what will follow until after the inflation result comes in this February. Meanwhile, historical data have proven time and time again that stocks will always outperform bonds in the long run, so I'm sticking out my guns and I'm remaining in the market. I just need to pick out quality stocks, and I'm good to go. The problem is how to find them.

Since the crash, I've been in the red. I’m playing the long term game, so I'm not too worried but Jim Cramer mentioned there are still a lot of great opportunities, though stocks has been down a lot. I wish i learnt most of these principles about seven years ago. A lot of people have been trapped strongly in the matrix-- Go to school, get a job, and then slave your whole life. Many miss out on life-changing information that could have great effect on their finances. I played with the stock market sometime in 2020, and I was surprised at how well it turned out. I want to put in $90k more into the market. I heard people are making really great returns despite the downturn. Any recommendations?
Stocks are pretty unstable at the moment, but if you do the right math, you should be just fine. Bloomberg and other finance media have been recording cases of folks gaining over 250k just in a matter of weeks/couple months, so I think there are a lot of wealth transfer in this downtime if you know where to look.

I agree 100% with your using debt to purchase property, have the tenants pay the mortgage, make improvements then cash out refi and pay no taxes.
The concern, I believe it is a very valid concern, with people losing their jobs and a bad economy. What if things get so bad and people can’t afford to pay rent or the high rents for your leveraged property so you can no longer cover your costs or make a profit?
Is this how the government will take over all of your assets so you will own nothing and be happy? 😂
In Canada during the pandemic the government gave people,e permission to not pay the rents..while those same people got 2000$/mth for upwards of 2 years. Lots of landlord lost their investment properties. So this created a slew of investment real estate for sale.
So how do you manage if you owe 2 million on a property and the value goes down and you can't charge as much for rent? Not trying to be sarcastic....I legitimately want to know how you get around that legally without a foreclosure/short sale.

1. With out taxes money would not exist (not quite true, but an important concept!)
2. Paying Taxes is NOT patriotic. That's really only true for Americans, as the 16th Amendment is in contradiction with the 5th Amendment. The 5th should take prominence over the 16th for sure! But to avoid paying taxes I think you are going to have to incriminate your self! So, what ever... IMHO
