We know God through;
Scripture
His names: the names of God
The study of Jesus (Hebrews 1:3)
Through our Experiences.
The first nature of God we must is
• God is love (1John 4:8, Psalms 145:8&9,
• He is Gracious and Compassionate
• God is merciful Exodus 34:5&6)
The Nature and the Character of Man
In sin did my mother conceive me (Psalms 51:1-5)
The heart of man is decietful (Jeremiah 17:9-10); a man can be deceived by his own heart.

What is the Mercy of God?
Any action taken which is motivated by compassion is called MERCY
Mercy sterms from compassion; it is impossible to have and administer mercy until compassion foreruns it.
Compassion is sympathy, pity, concern for the sufferings and misfortunes of others.
Compassion is the ability to be touched with feelings of people's infernmities
Mercy is the fruit of Compassion.
MERCY
1. Compassionate treatment of those in distress.
2. To show care and to provide relief.
3. To refrain from harming/punishing an offender.
Mercy has two dimensions
Forgiveness and witholding punishment; this is where sinners come in
aliviating pain and providing relief from suffering
How does God administer Mercy?
Mercy is God's system of advantage that guarantees that we become full expressions of His expections regardless our humanity.
The condition to receive Mercy:
Psalm 51:17 - BROKENNESS
Brokenness is a REALIZATION and ACKNOWLEDGEMENT of your limitations and inadequacies outside of the help of God
