I sold mine and I don’t miss it at all. Never payed for the Desmo service and I’m very happy about that. It is a beautiful and capable bike but so is the Honda XR650L or the Suzuki is even better and you can get the 2024 models for under $8000. Owning the desert sled felt like having a Russian wife/girlfriend that’s obsessed with materialistic things. Get a Suzuki, no $1000 Desmo, $300 oil change, $300 flushes, no 6 neutrals, no worrying about scratching it. Also the aftermarket on Suzuki and Hondas is unlimited compared to Ducati. You will be married to the dealership if you own any Ducati.

Well, owning any bike is a commitment, and you need to do regular maintenance on it for your own safety. Yes, Honda and Suzuki are cheaper to maintain. To me, a motorcycle is a machine that connects with the rider, and you need to have fun. Enjoy the experience. Don't baby it too much, take it to the places where it belongs with your loved one! Having ridden several Japanese bikes to me this Ducati brings a big smile on the face and worth every penny. Ride safe 🙏

@@SuchanBajracharya I agree. You were definitely part of the reason why I got mine. I just wish I knew how hard it is to work on it myself and how expensive the service is. It’s my first motorcycle

@technoutopia4687 I see. Anyways, whichever bike you are comfortable riding and maintaining is your choice. In the end, it's just a machine. Don't overthink it. Cheers!

Ducati is a luxury brand my friend - even with its cheapest model Scrambler 😂 Japanese works, but it only just works, good if that’s all you need

what is your height? have any modifications been made to the seat and/or suspension?

It is a very nice motorcycle, an interesting custom, with all the extras and dust. I wonder how you would like the Ducati Hypermotard in these conditions.

Hypermotard is a street bike. Yes, I can take it for light offroading, but the suspension and ground cleareance is not enough. Thanks for watching!

@@SuchanBajracharya it is only 15mm less, but i understand you choice.

@zerocochrane1713 I am pretty sure with some mods here and there Hypermotard can be offroad ready. It is a sweet bike! I have tried it and it sure is FUN!

I think the Hypermotard may be too twitchy for off road riding, but great on the tarmac.
