I think the GOTR method meant looting the runes they drop at altars while playing. People just drop STACKS of runes so they don't have to bank midgame.
GOTR method meant playing the game and picking up all the runes people drop at the alters, they don't wish to run to the rune deposit and decide to just drop them on the floor instead. As for the Dragon Spear and Crystal Key, they're rarer drops from the Intricate Pouch which is a reward from the Reward Guardian.
Soup, I know people meme on you for your old quest guides but I followed many of your guides and maybe got lost twice. You're legit the reason I even bothered to quest back on release. Pretty wild you're still killing it on UA-cam!
@@SoupRS the general store at the rogues den often provides around 1.5m aswell. The main source of income comes from buying lockpicks (20gp buy, 250gp sell, 25 in stock per world) but there are quite some other items in there worth buying aswell (like throwing knives)
Barkers shop in Is how I purchased my set of Sara trim armor back in the day. The trick was the boots and gloves were able to be sold in free to play and was the only good looking ftp gloves and boots. This was way before the GE. So they sold for 10k per item. Buy them on members, sell them on world 1 in ftp. That was the trick haha. That brings back memories.
8:00 I used to sell those before the GE in free to play worlds on Rs2 because they could be traded to F2P for some reason. The only way F2P would get them is to buy them in a member world. Sold for 1k each
Lmao showing how young you are, there, Soup! Buying those robes, especially the boots and ESPECIALLY the gloves (which were the only thing, other than leather, that f2pers could wear on their hands) was an awesome money maker back in the day! Especially pre-ge, they'd go for thousands of gp per item...
The swamp paste method would be good if you combine it with a bankstanding skilling method. Skill while games are going on and take a quick break to sell to the shop when they end. If you look at it like farming, where the xp p/h is very high if you only count time spent on the skill and not the time it takes for trees to grow, then it would probably be a couple mill per hour
So this may have been said already, but people have a different money maker that drops molten glass on the ground in excess for the fastest gold per minute. So, I'm just picking it up, turning it into unpowered orbs, and selling it. There's no trade limit on orbs as far as I'm aware. Just takes 46 crafting IIRC. This is at the GE. This would be a great rebuild method. This also levels crafting.
The expectation that every new edition of a competition has to have a bigger prize pool compared to the previously held editions is an very weird but modern expectation.
That part with the Canafis store reminds me of how I used to buy coloured gloves there, then went to F2P and sold them to people for like 5 ~ 10k. All the way back in 2005 or so.
lmao the robe selling from canifis is vintage. I used to do that back in 2009, I'd sell the robes to people for 100k a set, mostly the gold robes. so nice to see it still exists in some way :)
One day this kid at school says that he bought "wizzy g" for 100k. I thought "the blue robes with gold trim? How'd he get it that cheap?" Turns out someone sold him the gold canifis robes for 100k, that's when I told him no one is safe in rs.
Yeah I was doing guardians and saw people drop an ABSURD number of runes, and after a game people drops tons of talismans. I get like 100k in talismans sometimes. You can get tons of runes at altars during games too
I used to kill the shaikahan for hard clues back in middle school! The hum of my old laptop at 3 am in silence with only the screen illuminating my face was such a peaceful time looking back.
Hey SoupRS, with the new youtube max cape speed run series' getting popular, they made drift net fishing popular. Turn jute fibres into drift nets for insane profits.
Before the Desert East diary existed, I used to kill Desert goats, the grounded horns used to be worth 1k each. Now they are only worth 50 coins. The other was that I used to go to edgeville with the house full of men and woman, defeat them and loot bones for the hour. The bones are worth 75 gp (back then I could sell them for 100) and thats how I made my first rune armour set.
One of my money makers is to check the Port Sarim Jewelry shop for bots unloading their ham storeroom goodies You can buy diamond amulets for cheap cheap and sell on the ge for a clean profit Takes you to be lucky enough to find a world with stock though so it's not reliable
try this weird money maker. it takes abit of time but I do it alot for some early cash. buy kegs of beer. from Rasolo the Wandering Merchant or the Rellekka Longhall Bar shop if you have it unlocked. they are 25 gold each and I on average put them on the Grand Exchange for 25k each. if they dont sell in 24 hours I sell for 10k if that doesnt work aswell. put in for 5k and wait. alot of impatient players buy them for the quest or the collectors go big or go home. this takes some trial and error. Sorry for the Lengthy explanation.
i'm not sure if you'd still be checking this but, one that i tend to think of is buying small nets (and maybe other fishing tools) from the piscatoris fishing colony shop, the NPC also doubles as the bank so there's literally no travel time in banking the nets. he has a stock of 2 that restocks every 6 seconds. buy the nets for 5 gp and they tend to resale on the gp for anywhere from 25-60gp
16:53 you just had to remind me???? I have ptsd from yours and imsikovits quest guides from back in the day. I watched yours when osrs released and imsikovit during darkscape
So an unusual moneymaker : looting at vyrewatch sentinels, the dust goes for 708 gp and noone picks them up. if you have the outfit you can just loot and bank right there, i reckon easily 1m/hour
Hey Soup, unusual money maker you could potentially explore. You can buy rune warhammers for a little under 25k gp atm on the G.E. Skulgrimen's shop in Rellekka buys them, even when they have 1 in stock for 29,050gp. so a potential 4.5k + gp per sell. unsure exactly how much you could make per hour but i know this method is relatively unknown, until now :)
If you received a coin for every method that included needles, you'd have two coins this episode. Which isn't a lot but it's weird that it happened twice.
Hey Soup. I found a unusual money maker, the conditions to do it, are unusual. You have to start, but not complete Underground Pass quest. What you do, after starting the quest you go kill Disciples of Ibans, where they drop Zammy monk tops and bottoms, bottoms sell between 3-5k each, depending on time of the day. Sold mines 4.8k!. What you gotta do is kill them, fill inventory, if there are not enoug disciples, just hop worlds and keep on farming them. Use teleports for faster traveling and light gear, as you might want to be lighter, navigating the underground pass!
I don't know if it's unusual, but my go to money maker has been underwater thieving and agility. If you're willing to get good and get sweaty, you can buy a Merfolk trident every hour and a half (closer to two hours if playing sub-optimally), which sell on the GE for about 1.2 mill. More if you're willing to slow sell. It's best to already have a fully charged Merfolk trident when you play, and an inventory mostly full of puffer fish. A stamina pot or two can help but it will cut into profits. Your equipment should be a Merfolk trident, flippers, and the rest Graceful. Don't bother with the diving apparatus like the wiki suggests. An explorers ring to boost run energy is also a nice addition. It's a pretty enjoyable way to earn, gp, thieving, and agility XP. You also get fossils, which can be converted into lamps (if your museum isn't filled out), prayer XP, or sold for numulite, granting even more money.
an interesting moneymaking method that could be worth looking into is collecting wyrm bones (sorry if something like this has been suggested before, i'm guessing bone collecting is probably decent popular and not *that* weird). most people killing wyrms for slayer tasks dont collect the bones, one set of bones goes for about 1.4k on the GE, and a full inventory would be around 40k. world hopping to find wyrm bones sounds like it would be decently profitable, and there's usually enough people killing them that it may be worth it.
Here is a money maker idea. Exchanging master scroll book for watson teleport scrolls. You get 10-20 scrolls per book. Right now an empty book is 130k with the scrolls being 10k ea. On average you get 150k per book. The book of the dead teleport is an easy and cheap way to get back to Watson to exchange more books.
takes times but i grew snapdragons and made super restores. i just came back after over a year off, but seems making super restores still is a great gp maker. i last left off with 18m herb xp, 35m farm xp, and it supplied my entire acc
Unusual Money Maker I've ran into is the general store at the fishing trawler, Buying an Inventory of Pots of Flour (10gp each) and then banking it right next to the store and worldhopping, afterwards selling all the flour at the GE for 3.8k per world hop (-400g for buying the Flour) can be done very fast because of how close the store is to the bank. Same could be done with the Rope that is sold at the same store, selling for less at the GE. Each cycle can be done in half a minute so 3.4k x 120 is 400K gp in an hour.
You should add this to the playlist. UA-cam recommended this one to me after I watched the whole playlist, and I thought I might have skipped one, but it's just not in the playlist.
Saw you at the swamp paste shop, noticed you were restocking. As an iron i found it very helpful. Otherwise i have to hop and buy paste to get it at a resonable price. I think if people knew you were there to restock, theyd be more regular customers.
I have a very weird one. Super Kebabs can be sold for more than 2k while you can buy them for 5 from the Kebab Vendor in Pollnivneach. Daily Volume is fairly low but they do usually go over night.
Just found out there’s a space in the study (of your poh) for a crystal ball and you can use it to change the type of an elemental staff for free, at the time of writing the earth staff is going for 1019 gp and the staff of air is going for 1764 gp , so it’s about 20k an invent and it takes about 2:30 to do a round trip of teleing to the gotr bank with the amulet, pulling out 27 staffs of earth , house tele then use the staffs on the crystal ball and then teleing out to the bank again, if you could get the staffs to go for an hour (might need to buy while doing other stuff as buy limit is only 125 which would be about 11 mins worth) it would work out to be about to be just shy of 500k an hour , not much compared to a lot of other stuff but for a random thing in the poh that I didn’t even know existed it’s pretty good (also I had a look none of the upgrades give any profitable options the margins are too low and they both require some sort of investment to do the change)
To increase the GotR method, go into the game, travel to the alters and pick up the rune stacks from there - there is always thousands of runes to be snagged!
I buy Raw Sardines on the G.E, head just south of the G.E to harvest Doogle Leaves, mash them together, and sell the Seasoned Sardines on the G.E to lazy questers for marked up prices.
Keep in mind that with methods that have a lot of downtime, you can do something meanwhile. Especially if they're next to a bank like the fishing trawler one.
Selling jades with karamja gloves for trading sticks is something i found like 2 years ago and have commented on every single post unusual money maker trying to get people to do. If you buy uncut ones and cut them you can double the amount of money you make but I don't know if it's 100% worth the time but it's afk. It's possible to make over a mill an hour doing this.
I'm f2p and I like to sell water. I buy jugs on the GE, unnote them in Fally cause there's a pump right next to the bank, and then bank the water and repeat. It's pretty good for a f2p method.
6 hour respawn on that rabbit. i'm surprised we don't see more 'rare spawns' in runescape. But I'm kinda glad they aren't that common, i don't really want a runescape version of the time lost proto drake.
You can't hop worlds for the rabbit BTW, it has a 6 hour respawn per account, it's unique that way. If you hop world's you'd still be waiting, so the money per hour is abysmal
Unusual moneymaker: You can hire a cook to work in your house and bring a bunch of friends round then ask her to make pineapple pizzas for everyone. Pick them all up to sell, rinse and repeat
My money maker idea: At GotR, once you receive an Abyssal Needle drop, you can use a regular needle on the Rewards Guardian to obtain an extra Abyssal Needle. Each Abyssal Needle high alchs for ~1.7k. I’m curious how much money could be made buying a bulk amount of needles, exchanging them, & then alching them. :)
you can use 2 accounts to collect eclectic implings in poro poro, 1 account catches, the other account runs jars and banks the implings, Use Arceus spellbook and dark lure on the catching account.
Glory uncharging: For a couple weeks the price of "Amulet of glory (4)" is higher than of "Amulet of glory (6)" Please try this out there is actually a gap of 1k gp if you just teleport twice and then sell
Im sure someone else already pointed this out, but Guardians of the Rift and Fishing trawler have more than 1 world. If you go check each world and when the games are ending, then you should be able to hop between worlds inbetween games and ideally get the bennefit from each in much less time. As of now, i see only fishing trawler worlds and 8 guardians of the rift, so maybe thie more-so applies to guardian of the rift, but you might be able to make a fair amount more with those methods if properly optimized
It’s always interesting to me to check the prices of the items in these videos a day after. It seems like needles sold an extra 40k the day the video came out and the price is slowly dropping at 93gp ea atm
Never done it yet but picking up Abyssal ashes at Catacombs of Kourend would probably give decent money, for some reason they're over 2k most of the time and people either afk or burst them as a slayer task
I never understood why people are so hell-bent on dropping rooms at guardians, there's literally a one-click deposit next to the workbench. You need to go to that workbench after pretty much every run to an alter.
step 0 - say you found an undiscovered money maker step 1 - say that the methods are from other players step 1.5 - be sure to use the term 'we' and remind them to subscribe step 2 -
I found an unusual money making method. If you go to the Market in Draynor Village and speak to Fortunato, he sells 5 sets of empty jugs. Each set contains 100 noted empty jugs. Total cost is 726gp for 500 empty jugs. GE price for 500 empty jugs is 2k. The wait timer for the 5 sets to respawn is roughly 45secs. I'd suggest hopping worlds. You're making almost 1.3k each time. Hope someone else tries this out!
not really a current money maker, but years back when OSRS was like a year or so old, I'd kill blue wizards at their tower for their robe tops in F2P. The robe tops at the time were going for 10k+ ea lol
It's the standard situation of a 5gp item or 50gp item being 2k for whatever reason. scam items exist, and thats why people collect stuff like that. There was one time I saw a Energy Potion (2) at 42k. and you put 2000 of those up and the trade will say like 84m
Unusual money maker, killing jubsters in the tower of life. Jubbly can be sold for 1800 each and you get multiple back per kill meaning you only need a few to get started and a stack of lobsters

Saw you at the swamp paste shop, noticed you were restocking. As an iron i found it very helpful. Otherwise i have to hop and buy paste to get it at a resonable price. I think if people knew you were there to restock, theyd be more regular customers.
BTW the dragon hasta can be poisoned with KP, so I think that'd be the best weapon.
I HAVE PLAYED THIS GAME FOR OVER 20 YEARS AND NEVER KNEW THERE WAS A HOLY GRAIL REFERENCE
For the crystal grail, I sold one on the GE for 1m by leaving the offer in for 1 week.
To increase the GotR method, go into the game, travel to the alters and pick up the rune stacks from there - there is always thousands of runes to be snagged!
super funny comparison between swamp paste method and ur quest guides!
You're amazing S0up. Thank you for your service to the community.
Dude just dropped price of needles to 2gp xD
I'm f2p and I like to sell water. I buy jugs on the GE, unnote them in Fally cause there's a pump right next to the bank, and then bank the water and repeat. It's pretty good for a f2p method.
Step 1 - Visit Falador and change your character to a female
Step 2 - Get that money
The shaikahan bones would be a solid thing for ironman accs to farm for death coffer coins ^^
The Soulja boy "I'm so fresh" like beat/song will always gets me cackling.
6 hour respawn on that rabbit. i'm surprised we don't see more 'rare spawns' in runescape. But I'm kinda glad they aren't that common, i don't really want a runescape version of the time lost proto drake.
"Rednecks Alt Life" is definitely supposed to be "Redneck Salt Life"
You can't hop worlds for the rabbit BTW, it has a 6 hour respawn per account, it's unique that way. If you hop world's you'd still be waiting, so the money per hour is abysmal
Unusual moneymaker:
You can hire a cook to work in your house and bring a bunch of friends round then ask her to make pineapple pizzas for everyone. Pick them all up to sell, rinse and repeat
Fun fact. The only male on lunar isle is the pirate banker dude. That bald person in the clothes store. Thats a lady.
When fighting that rabbit there should be a certain weapon called "The Holy Hand Grenade" to make it easier and also to complete the reference lol
love these vids, u have any ironman progress vids in the works
Love the rabbit method! looks so fun!
I think the gotr tip was to loot inside the mini game not in the lobby lol
My money maker idea:
At GotR, once you receive an Abyssal Needle drop, you can use a regular needle on the Rewards Guardian to obtain an extra Abyssal Needle. Each Abyssal Needle high alchs for ~1.7k. I’m curious how much money could be made buying a bulk amount of needles, exchanging them, & then alching them. :)
Unusual money maker - picking up big fishing nets at the fishing guild, world hop, repeat, bank, sell
you can use 2 accounts to collect eclectic implings in poro poro, 1 account catches, the other account runs jars and banks the implings, Use Arceus spellbook and dark lure on the catching account.
Glory uncharging: For a couple weeks the price of "Amulet of glory (4)" is higher than of "Amulet of glory (6)" Please try this out there is actually a gap of 1k gp if you just teleport twice and then sell
Soup the legend. Can't wait for GG!
Sell rune items to the armor shop in nardah.
RSN girth magnum
Im sure someone else already pointed this out, but Guardians of the Rift and Fishing trawler have more than 1 world. If you go check each world and when the games are ending, then you should be able to hop between worlds inbetween games and ideally get the bennefit from each in much less time. As of now, i see only fishing trawler worlds and 8 guardians of the rift, so maybe thie more-so applies to guardian of the rift, but you might be able to make a fair amount more with those methods if properly optimized
Love these unusual money makers , Keep up the good work.
It’s always interesting to me to check the prices of the items in these videos a day after. It seems like needles sold an extra 40k the day the video came out and the price is slowly dropping at 93gp ea atm
4 gp now
@@channelnevin around 49 now, still worth doing
Never done it yet but picking up Abyssal ashes at Catacombs of Kourend would probably give decent money, for some reason they're over 2k most of the time and people either afk or burst them as a slayer task
wow you started this out with Brody Quest. Subscribed haha
Used to sell the gold gloves to f2p players back in the day. It was one of my first money makes :)
A classic!
omggg he featured my rabbit idea 🤯
I never understood why people are so hell-bent on dropping rooms at guardians, there's literally a one-click deposit next to the workbench. You need to go to that workbench after pretty much every run to an alter.
step 0 - say you found an undiscovered money maker
step 1 - say that the methods are from other players
step 1.5 - be sure to use the term 'we' and remind them to subscribe
step 2 -
step 3 - get someone to comment on the matter
"high level ranged gear" is wearing a torture and an accumulator...
Jubbly can be sold for 1800 each and you get multiple back per kill meaning you only need a few to get started and a stack of lobsters
unusual money maker: gather bracelet moulds from your poh tool store 4. they are worth about 400gp each.
swamp paste idea is genius
