The anointing is present, but, secondary to the Soulish and Fleshly! Because, the information delivered is in a Cadence that stirs emotions and flesh. It titillates. It arouses. Most likely, it doesn’t bring true conviction. But, it will bring a Crowd. In our worship experience, We Black Americans are acclimated to catch phrases in the hoop. We call it “The Close!” It EMOTIONALIZED, but, please document where this style “CHANGES ANYTHING, OUTSIDE THE WALLS!” This is great preaching, no doubt. But, melodic, rhythmic, screaming, at certain times gets women hollering and men wishing. This is not preaching. This is entertainment and fleshly showmanship. It’s high time the church awakens from this spiritual slumber and gets back to the biblical formula. An emotional experience is not proof of an encounter with God.
D Jackson, I agree. However it is preaching, but a entertainment based, African American call and response type of preaching that seeks to get a rise out of its audience. Its so typical and so sad that this style is passed down from generation to generation. I am so glad that Bishop Morton has matured with age and has embraced the value of becoming a true worshipper,and a founder and leader of the Full Gospel Baptist movement This performance based preaching has got to die if we as a people are going to move forward in God.

I must say to read what these sad, unbelieving, unsaved, devil minded demons have to say is sad only. But it does prove one thing and that is Satan is alive and well. We as true believers in the word must keep fighting against these principalities of evil and darkness.
Not thought of this before. But, this remarkable singing-preaching style is sensual. Especially, if the Preacher is good looking and well adorned. The anointing is present, but, secondary to the Soulish and Fleshly! Because, the information delivered is in a Cadence that stirs emotions and flesh. It titillates. It arouses. Most likely, it doesn’t bring true conviction. But, it will bring a Crowd. In our worship experience, We Black Americans are acclimated to catch phrases in the hoop. We call it “The Close!” It EMOTIONALIZED, but, please document where this style “CHANGES ANYTHING, OUTSIDE THE WALLS!” This is great preaching, no doubt. But, melodic, rhythmic, screaming, at certain times gets women hollering and men wishing. Even though it was long ago, THIS PATTERN IS NOT A PANACEA, IT’S A PATTERN OF A PEOPLE, STUCK IN PERFORMANCE TRADITION! I only speak what I see. Respectfully Submitted. #TheLordsJournalist

D Jackson, I agree. However it is preaching, but a entertainment based, African American call and response type of preaching that seeks to get a rise out of its audience. Its so typical and so sad that this style is passed down from generation to generation. I am so glad that Bishop Morton has matured with age and has embraced the value of becoming a true worshipper,and a founder and leader of the Full Gospel Baptist movement

This is a closing AFTER the word has been preached. The closing drives home the point that was taught. It celebrates the goodness of the Lord and the victory of knowing Jesus. It's ok if it's not your flavor, but don't make your preference the basis of your condemnation.
