Stunning! It looks so warm and inviting. Clearly, an expensive house to build, it is stripped down to only what is necessary. Those necessary features are elevated to masterful. The whole place looks like it was whittled from a block of wood. More colonial, please!
so so beautiful, thanks Ken! (I don't know if this is the proper place to express my grief...my heart goes out to the powerful sacrifices and perseverance, the generousity and importance, and the unwavering human endurance of the slaves, on whose backs US history was built.)
These Colonial era homes with such history are especially fun to see for those of us from the American Southwest. We enjoyed our trip to Alexandria, VA and Mt. Vernon back in 2019. I love the balance of the architecture of the time.
KEN, I LOVE THIS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! NEW JERSEY HAS BEEN NEAR AND DEAR TO ME FOR YEARS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! AND I ABSOLUTELY LOVED THE MORRIS COUNTY AND MORRISTOWN AREA!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! THERE WAS A DAY WHEN I DREAMED OF LIVING IN THAT AREA, BUT THIS WAS RENDERED IMPOSSIBLE DUE TO IT BEING TERRIBLY EXPENSIVE THERE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! THAT IS ONE OF THE THINGS THAT EVENTUALLY LED TO MY ENDING UP A DISTANCE AWAY, HERE IN EASTERN PENNSYLVANIA!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! HOWEVER, OF NUMEROUS THINGS TO SEE AND DO IN THAT AREA, I DON'T SEEM TO RECOLLECT "THIS HOUSE", THE FORD MANSION!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! NONETHELESS, IF I AM EVER IN THAT AREA AGAIN, HOPEFULLY I WILL REMEMBER "THIS HOUSE" AND GO THERE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! THERE ARE, OF COURSE, SOME HORROR STORIES ABOUT HORRENDOUS DEMOLITIONS THAT HAVE OCCURRED IN THAT AREA, BUT I WILL NOT GET INTO THOSE NOW!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! IN ANY CASE, THIS IS MOST DEFINITELY ANOTHER DEMOLITION FREE ZONE, SO LONG LIVE THIS HOUSE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
🎉I find your channel to be among my five favorites. I watch every one. I have a request, however. I love to look at the floor plans but you only ever show the first floor. Could you also the other as well, however briefly? That would broaden my appreciation of the property. Thanks.
KEN, I FORGOT SOMETHING!!!!!!!!! A PLACE I HAVE BEEN TO IN MORRIS COUNTY IS A HOUSE CALLED "SPEEDWELL", AND IT HAS TIES TO SAMUEL MORSE AND THE INVENTION OF THE TELEGRAPH!!!!!!!!!! HAVE YOU DONE A VIDEO ON "THIS HOUSE"???????? LET ME KNOW, AND IF YOU HAVEN'T, THEN HOPEFULLY I HAVE PUT YOU ON TO IT!!!!!!!!!!!!
Absolutely beautiful house. So glad it has been perfectly preserved for future generations.
Exactly the kind of house I'd like to live in. Slightly higher ceilings than this perhaps, but that kitchen is perfection. For display.
Thank you for your informative videos an historical content !
great presentation, love the interior, bonnet topped furniture ... a colonial masterpiece
I love the wooden floors, the wooden beams and old furniture nicely kept.

I just learned a new facet of American history.
I have been visiting the Ford Mansion and Jockey Hollow for over 70 years! It never gets old.

Thank you for showing this lovely colonial home and its history!

Brilliant slice of American history - thank you!
Beautiful, it should have a wing on the left side to make it symmetrical

Dialed down federalist elegance. I’d pick this home over the gilded age monsters any day
