Hi, I have a friend who ordered an off-grid PV system + backup generator for a small furniture factory. The customer did not ask for any specific brand or model of inverter. The seller delivered and installed a SolaX X3 G4 Hybrid 10kW and two SolaX TriPower batteries (11.6 kWh total). He's having some problems with the inverter and the seller is no longer responding to our phone calls. Problem 1: We cannot figure out how to get this inverter to charge the battery from the generator. Most of the times it rejects the generator power (unstable frequency ... but this is normal for a generator). But even when it accepts the generator, it does not charge the HV battery from generator power. It simply turns off the EPS output and nothing else. Problem 2: The generator can be remotely started via a dry contact switch or relay contact. If we solve the charging from the diesel generator, we cannot figure out how to set up the inverter to automatically start the generator when the battery is too low (for example start the generator when battery drops below 20% and stop the generator after charging above 50%). Do you have any idea if this firmware you received from the factory could make the inverter cooperate with a diesel generator? Thanks in advance!
Hi, sad to hear. No i do not know if my firmware will handle a generator better. But my installer sad that he simply did not recommend a generator at all due to the instability frequency and voltage. Sorry but I do not have any experience above this. Hope hi/you find a solution.

Get a chargeverter from signature solar. It's basically just a battery charger but it doesn't care about dirty power from the generator.
is it possible to get the Fw from you and do you have an order number for the NTC-?
Sorry, no on both question, you have to contact solax or your retailer for that.
@@flyingtools thx for nothing
Hello everybody, i am using a lithium ion battery in the Lead acid modus, and it works perfect, but after the latest App updates i miss the battery voltage if jou click at the battery. And it is not possible to see the estimatet SOC
Do you also have this problem? I send a email to Solax but got nog response.
At the inverter self can you still see the battery voltage, but not anymore in the old and New App
Regards Marcel
Hi. Yes I have seen that, the same with the temperature, that’s what I miss the most, everything else I can see in home assistant, but not the temp. So I will ad a temp sensor in HA later. Strange that they have done it like this. I guess they will take care of that later, hopefully.
Good video! Thank you!
I have solax 15 kw it’s keep saying waiting what should l do to set it
Hi!
If no solar and no battery the inverter says waiting. Is everything connected?
Dc breakers on?
Very useful 👍
Thanks😃
Nice!
This have a web interface also?
Yes, solax app and i think it also have a Ethernet port, all settings and commands are much easier to set via the app.
@@flyingtools app means from the phone?
@@blackeyes18ro yes.
Hello. How can I know before buying an inverter Does it support acid battery?
Hi!
You have to read the specifications for the inverters before you buy one.
It is not so many inverters out there that have that option sadly.
Thanks for question and good luck😊
Hej, bra jobbat.
Happy fire in the future
Just installed my Orion bms to my battery so hopefully not, but thanks for your concern 👍🏻
@@flyingtools Thank you very much for sharing your findings about this solution! How does the orion BMS react when for example one cell would start to overcharge? Does it disconnect or send message to inverter how is it done?
3:52 375 Volts for 100S is 3.75 Volts for each cell, Why so much? Or U use more 100S?
108s. cell chemistry NCM 712 3,3v=0%soc
3,45=20%soc
The reason is more cycles.
@@flyingtools This is from VW-Audi batteries? How many kWh if You use 20-80% 375 to 420V?
4:30 Temperature sensors code for the order???
I just told my I installer to order it, so no part number available.
