    My husband and I were discussing this at the dinner table last night. He's 80 and I'm pushing 76. We were discussing the fact that when we were young kids and adults, we didn't know anyone who had food allergies. Now it's an epidemic. It's what they're putting in our food supply. Our fear isn't so much for us anymore but rather for our grandchildren and their children. What kind of world will they be living in? Many people are totally unaware of what's going on. Thanks for the warning. It makes one stop and think.

    Last year I bought several bags of a nationally known potting soil from my nearby big box building supply for the containers that I have to garden in due to living in a condo with a very tiny spot of sun out front to grow veggies. Every plant I bought and planted shriveled like yours, and all my green beans died. Then I watched Jess’ video about her contamination disaster and recognized it immediately. So disappointed, and angry. At 73 I have little strength or energy, and no one to help dump out all that poisoned dirt. Empty planters of dirt all year welcomed all my guests. I don’t have many seasons left to plant recovery crops so I have quit gardening. Thanks, big ag industry. Best of luck to you, sweet lady.

    Constance, I had this same issue a few years ago. The amazing thing about it was the Lord gave me a dream warning me that my garden would be poisoned. The next day after the man delivered the compost for my raised beds he jokingly informed me that he just got off the phone with a customer who accused him of having contaminated soil and he went on to rant that it wasn't his soil but she was crazy. I knew immediately why God had given me the dream.
    It was the soil. It happened around the same time Jess from Roots and Refuge dealt with her high tunnel..
    Long story short I wasn't able to grow nightshade for about 2 years. But I heavily planted Sunflowers in those beds and now they are thriving. There is something about the Sunflowers that help pull that poison out. 🌻 I pray your garden heals and thrives in the coming years ❤

    Add activated carbon or biochar: Apply activated carbon or biochar to the affected area. Biochar is black carbon made from biomass sources like wood chips, plant residues, manure, or other agricultural waste products. One study says biochar can remove 68% of herbicides. However, adding biochar can raise the soil's pH level. Consider adding elemental sulfur to lower the pH back to your desired level.

When I contacted the manufacturer about it, they denied that they contain Grazon. I told them that I had testing them at the University of Georgia and what the test results were. I bought that straw from tractor supply and now when I go to look at the package, it clearly states on the package not to use in home gardens. So so sorry! This happened to me a few years ago, in my case it was the soil. The supplier came out and was mortified. We had purchased soil from him at least four times before over two decades. He was just as upset. He gets product from many farmers to compost into top soil. We suspected grazon or round up type contamination in someone’s manure as well. He lost the sale, was super concerned for other customers and his business, he felt so bad and we had to cleanup and out, scrape down and start all over again. Fortunately in California we have a long season and I was able to start again in early July and the difference in the plants was night and day, but very expensive! We went with organic soil and crossed our fingers because this stuff is everywhere and some people say round up is technically organic!!!
    Our county ag voted to become gmo free but the bigger farmers said no. So we are stuck with a ticking time bomb here. I know this is not our heaven here, but the agenda in so many facets of our lives feels like pure evil!

Why do they get to poison us (grazon sprayed hay, crop dusting with dust floating to neighboring gardens, crazy weird additives in "food", etc.) With no accountability? I cant grow an organic garden because of the fields i live near (crop dusting). I try to live vicariously through good UA-cam garden channels and i keep hearing these horror stories. I am so sorry this happened to you.

    If you purchase compost you can check for contamination with bean seeds. They grow twisted if the Garzon is present, as you now know. Test in the bag before you spread.

    I know your pain first hand. Over two years ago we went through this. Finally got it under controlled. We have goats and composted everything when we would clean out the barns. We had narrowed it down to which hay we purchased was the cause. We only buy alfalfa hay and buy locally from a person that bales it right across the street from us so we know what is put on it. The farmer does not spray his fields. The other person we buy Alfalfa hay from practices organically due to growing rotation crops chemical free. I thought when this happened to us that I was terrible at growing a garden but after doing some research I found out the issue. We immediately took action and fixed it but it was a long haul. i will never buy hay from another source without full investigation or I grow ourselves which is not possible at this time but could be in the future.

Stay Faithful, and God always provides a way for His people! I’m a Sabbath and Feast keeper as well, it’s always such a blessing to come across another one of God’s remnant! @@MysteryGrey Blessings to you! I let the Holy Spirit lead me, so I do things a little differently than most, but I’m so very happy to share with you! I would just pray about what I say, and ask God to lead you as well! So my family keeps Sabbath on Saturday, sun up to Sunday sun up. This is because in Matthew 28:1 it says the Sabbath was ending as it began to dawn on the first day of the week. So we can see that Sabbath was kept all day Saturday, not Friday to Saturday. We have to remember that Satan has been sent out to deceive the nations, and that there’s a big misunderstanding of Scripture. Jesus was not a Jew, if you look into the word you’ll find that it didn’t even exist at the time of Jesus. Furthermore, Judea isn’t the same thing as Judah, and in fact was the name of a Babylonian province. The term Judea has nothing at all to do with The Law. So just bare that in mind while you seek these things out, and I implore you to look into these things. As for the Feast, I keep them according to the dates in The Bible, with the understanding that the first month is April. So I keep Passover on the 14th(from evening to evening on the 15th) Unleavened bread starts on the 15th, 50 days from the first Sabbath during Unleavened bread I keep Pentecost, and Tabernacle starts Oct 15. I also observe Feast of Trumpets on October 1st, and Day of Atonement on October 10th. I keep The Feast of Dedication starting December 25th(according to the book of Maccabees). I do not light a menorah, as I do not find that in Scripture, and it’s associated with some things that I do not agree with. I also keep New Moon on the FULL moon, according to what ancient Israelites observed. I have searched these things out, and this is where The Holy Spirit led me. I hope I said something to help you, and I pray Abba leads you into a good understanding of these things, and keeps you on His narrow path! Many blessings!
      The Lord bless thee, and keep thee:
      The Lord make his face shine upon thee, and be gracious unto thee:
      The Lord lift up his countenance upon thee, and give thee peace.
      The Lord hear thee in the day of trouble; the name of the God of Jacob defend thee;
      Send thee help from the sanctuary, and strengthen thee out of Zion;
      Remember all thy offerings, and accept thy burnt sacrifice; Selah.
      Grant thee according to thine own heart, and fulfil all thy counsel.
      We will rejoice in thy salvation, and in the name of our God we will set up our banners: the Lord fulfil all thy petitions.
      Now know I that the Lord saveth his anointed; he will hear him from his holy heaven with the saving strength of his right hand.
      Some trust in chariots, and some in horses: but we will remember the name of the Lord our God.
      They are brought down and fallen: but we are risen, and stand upright.
      Save, Lord: let the king hear us when we call.

    I had a years worth of rotted down horse manure from my own horses, fed homegrown organic hay… stables bedded down on supposedly ‘aminopyralid clean’ OSR straw. Luckily I always test by growing few broad beans before using on my garden. Seeds popped up & 💥 showed signs of chemical poisoning. I was furious with the company but so glad I didn’t take their word. Now any bought in compost gets tested before I put onto the garden. You must be gutted, but you will overcome this. I've been on the phone this week with one of those companies PNW own ORGANIC( Swanson) bought by some multinational. Told them all my compost bought from them was contaminated for any direct seeding. I had purchased just straight Swanson soil and compost products in 2020 cause they make it local. Big mistake. Swore never to purchase this brand again. But recently I found the PNW own organic and bought a lot. Didn't read the fine print of the parent company. Same damn one as before but now relabeled as organic. 🤬. And other miracle composts were trashy too. I'm so frustrated. You can't trust them. This company tests once a year AFTER temps get above 60s. Yeah. That helps us that prepare gardens before spring. Not!

    I put hay on my ONE garden bed, and deep dark mushroom compost....I was so excited....and first year was great, never amended it again, but 2nd year mid range (not great) foliage, and 3rd year, NOTHING grew beyond 6 inches, no flowers, hardly any leaves, certainly no fruit/produce. I was convinced I was just a BROWN thumb! And then I tested the soil.... it's DEAD.

    Had this happen 15 years ago, deep mulching with wheat straw contaminated with 2-4d and dicamba. Traced the straw bales back to the farmer, thanks to the feed store we bought from. "Clean" farming was just taking off here. About 10 years ago it happened again via horse manure we composted, that we got from a friend. The extension office investigated and said it looked like picloram and roundup, both of which pass through the gut still active.

It makes me a bit nervous and I am avoiding root crops. We lost very mature grapes and a few trees plus chicken eggs, chickens and several other food plants. All the drugs fed to farm animals including cattle which are required by unelected agencies that do NOT report to the citizens have been poisoning the land for many decades! We have to manually pollinate many of our vegetable plants due to no pollinators! Sometimes we have a few alternative pollinators which does help. We are in a very sad situation!

It is very risky to take any soil that is not sold to you as organic in bags. I wouldn’t dare buy anything off a truck again. I passed this information to my next door community. You did good sharing this. A lot of people make the same mistake. It kills your soil. It can’t grow anything. It’s dead. I had to cover the spot with landscape fabric, I can’t use it. It’s the only place in my yard that gets sun. I can only put in raised beds, I only use bagged garden items for use from the garden center.
