That was the worst Patriot game I have seen in 30 years you would have to be crazy to put Drake Maye out there until the end of the season get him ready for next year!!!
Nothing is going to change with this horrible Oline. And the coaches did a horrible job of protecting the QB. Any QB is going to have trouble with this line. And that's totally on Mayo and Wolfe. And they are really missing Owenu alot.
Heres the thing, john is 100% right. The charicter of a qb and arguably most defining trait is the ability to be completely beaten down and demoralized, get back up, and treat everydown like a new downs; just like brady, rodgers, and every other elite comeback qb. Granted i wouldnt put him in with this line against the 49ers for injury mitigation, but the best teacher is experience. Sitting and watching is something you tell the jordan love's and justin fields qb's of the league who have potential but dont quite the early blooming few players have out of college where they are game 1 ready. Maye is ready to play now and is only missing the prolonged in game experience.
You know what’s worse than the offense - the defense. The defense couldn’t find a tackle at a bait shop. Even if the offense were competent, the defense would give away the game. They couldn’t tackle or cover. They looked like the Jets during the Brady era. You still have to stop people and they couldn’t.
What? They none gone have time in the pocket 🤦🏾♂️ O line is completely messed up and defense is just as worse. We need goid wide receivers and all that. We just have to wait on the draft.
I'm tired of this season and all the mindless mediot blather already. So, let's just put Maye in, have him break his leg (or get a concussion, or worse) and be done with it and look forward to next year's draft and how Eliot Wolf will, no doubt, screw that up as well by not fixing the offensive line which is at the root of most of the ills of this football team. How a professional GM could think that going into the season without a left tackle would work itself out is beyond my powers of comprehension. Or, maybe it's all just beyond Eliot Wolf's powers of comprehension. This team could get scary bad...like Carolina Panthers bad...as this season unravels.
There is no way in hell Maye plays against the niner's! Miami is another story and that's why I'm thinking. That brings us to where I originally thought he'd play in October week 5-6
We shouldn't even be having this conversation! The Patriots should of traded that 3rd pick in the 24 draft for the best offer. This team was nowhere near ready to draft a QB. Knowing where the o-line was, and now has proven itself to be for the third season in a row. Freaking Joe Alt was sitting there come on now! Guy has got an 8ft wing span and he's damn near 7 ft tall I don't get it. This year we will be drafting all offense again lol
Well, nobody will have to think after Jacoby gets eventually injured in a game with that many hits he's getting. It's going to happen, specially because for some reason he now thinks he is capable of extending plays with his legs. So, I would wait a little bit more, it's a matter of time.

Mayo has inherited arguably, the worst Patriots roster in many years. Is he a good head coach? Way too early to evaluate. Belichick the GM got Belichick the coach fired . Eliot Wolf looks worse than Belichick the GM . Is Jerrod talented enough to overcome a bad GM ?
Mike is delusional. Putting a rookie qb in with a broken o-line and questionable receivers is a recipe for disaster. Follow the laid out plan, let Brissett take the lumps, get a high pick and build an actual team around him in year 2.
@@derwildeunterhosenbaer That worked out really well with Mac didn't it?! Brady even said it, give QB's time to grow and learn before you throw them in there. The negatives far outweigh the positives in this scenario. Mahomes, Jackson and Love are perfect examples of letting a qb sit. There are no negatives to him sitting.
@@kistophe The problem in the case of Mac has been the way of dealing with it. He took the blame while he's been one of them few guys who was putting EVERYTHING in it. The mistake wasn't starting Mac - who has been rookie of the year btw - but not having his back.
Im tired of hearing mayo saying compete for the job! Maye won the job sence preseason already dawg!
@@blongyang7153 why put drake out there when our line can’t block?
Yea play him so u can bench him like Bryce in a year 😂.

Week 5 everyone, calm down. Don’t start him with a bad line against 9ers. Anything else doesn’t make sense.

UNC OL had him running for his life.
He can handle it
Yes because ACC defense are very similar to NFL defenses.
Big ear holes bruh you elite. Let's clean that up please. 😂
No don't start Maye behind this offense of line if you do he will be broken like Mac Jones
Why didn’t wolf fix the OL in the draft ? Or in free agency? The guy he signed Quit he’s to blame lol

Taylor chillllllll
Only if you want to teach him bad habits and potentially ruin him. Mahomes couldn’t win behind this OLine.

Sorry but THIS isn't worth a real answer.
Fix the o-line 1st! Then we can have that conversation. Sorry, Maye is not that fast or tough.
@Mike Kadlick your argument is drowning and you’re flailing. Your solution puts Maye in a worse situation than M. Jones. 🤦♂️
Not that fast or tough? Watch his North Carolina film lol. He used to a bad Oline
@@tymon39 That was in the NCAA, though. The NFL has better players, will figure out Maye, and exploit his bad plays.
