From Gorg's POV, he basically invited someone for a talk and the guy just stood there without saying a word then started screaming for no reason and straigh up kidnapped his entire family on his way out.
So yeah, no wonder he wanted to kill everyone.😂

To be fair to the boov, the Gorg likely made themselves look evil on purpose to scare the other aliens from attacking them, unfortunately in the case of Smek it worked too well.
Also, I don't think those skulls on his shoulders were just props, I bet those were real 💀

It's funny how Captain Smek got off relatively scot-free (sure he got demoted, but still) for basically DOOMING THREE ENTIRE RACES TO NEAR-EXTINCTION just because of his own cowardice and incompetence.
How were The Boov able to survive for a long time if just tiny Ice cubes colliding is enough to send them off screaming?
It’s not just the ice cubes making noise that made Smek scared, he felt nervous to be face to face with a reptilian alien creature that is 8 feet tall and wearing the bones of his enemies. Would you be afraid of a reptilian creature wearing the bones of his enemies if you had to attend a peace meeting with him?
Running away is the reason they survive.

Okay let's really look at this. the gorg and the boov were at war? who knows how and why? maybe it was captain smecks stupidity but anyways. the gorg wanted to make peace probably because these aliens are push overs, and that's a waste of time. the gorg though wanting peace is clearly a sign he's not as scary as he seems. smeck runs away from an ice cube and for running away. he felt like he earned a trophy of stealing a rock.. a rock. I know it's not a rock but everyone thought it was just a rock. like in pirates of the carribean dead mans chest, no one thought sparrow had his heart in a jar of dirt. I love the movie but I'm lost on how war could even start, and I don't remember if the timeline of this war was said. only the part where they say how long the gorg chased them to save his race.
Oh how could I forget to mention! with context of the full movie he's hitting people, throwing, and handling the last of an alien species offspring so violently. he's hitting that poor gorgs last chance of his races survival on the heads of other people. I'd have been furious too.

Home is a nice movie for animation and but I like Oh and Tip.
Underrated movie. The previews really did not do it justice.
I think the skulls on Gorg’s spikes made him look scary and dangerous. Should’ve put steel armor to be less dangerous and scary.

Gorg was the real victim of this movie. He just wanted to talk peacefully only to get betrayed by Smeck( ik he just ran, but it was literally for no reason) and have his entire race stolen. You know how the Boove say have superior intellect? Well thats a both bs and a lie because a reasonable perso would give the thing you stole back if thats all it takes to get the guy to stop chasing you, instead the Boove ruined other worlds by association and remember what i said about them lying about being superior well Gorg's tech has been shown in movie to be way more than the Boove can handle.
The conflict in general was entirely avoidable, and Smek got scared crapless over a ice cube.

Please don't judge me, but I compared this movie to another animated film that was this week's (and maybe one of Disney's) big box-office bomb, and that film also got a lower audience score on Rotten Tomatoes than Home. While Home got a 62% audience score, the "woke" movie I won't be naming has a 40% audience score. So it's odd that I would compare Home to a movie that features a bunch of adventurers going inside the body of a living tortoise thing while on a mission to find out what is happening to their plants.

Like, I don't think the Boov started the war, it's possible the Gorg were just conquerors. And in their path of domination, they destroyed the Boov home world.
So I think, even though I don't think the Boov has the ability to fight back.
I think the Gorg, after only one remained after years of war with other species, was trying to end current conflicts so that the next generation of starfishes didn't have to survive like baby turtles lmao
So even though the Boov weren't a threat, the Gorg was just trying to make sure there werent enemies that would danger the babies but of course, the scene before you happened, and the single Gorg goes through a mental breakdown and starts destroying planet after planet to get his kids back.
