When I first saw this, I was ready to Save whole year for this. But after listening you I agreed with most of the things and decited to buy other sets that I like More. Well review'd! Thanks for helping!
Its funny I was thinking to myself that this was an odd set in so much that its a kiddy set at afol prices but you summed up pretty much what I was going to say.
Just finished building this set, got to say I really love it! It's bright and boldly coloured, it's just totally crazy! Brought a big smile to my face. I don't care for the lack of playability, it's gonna be a colorful item in my room! Just love it!
As a coaster enthusiast, I am excited to see where Lego takes that coaster system, they tried the Coaster Factory system with CoasterDynamics in the past and there is third party coaster systems like Brick Coaster, but this is a genuine, high quality, most likely over priced, official Lego coaster system and I'm happy
The rollercoaster track pieces are used in the 2018 City mountain mine set. I'll probably be getting that, but I REALLY hope these rollercoaster pieces are not put to waste in the future. Lego fans have been wanting rollercoasters for YEARS. There's even a company that makes their own rollercoaster track pieces specifically for Lego use! We all want to see a full-blown rollercoaster set, not that lousy Friends rollercoaster set that was just a railroad track raised up.
There is little doubt that there will be a Creator Expert rollercoaster in the future. It is an obvious choice after the fairground mixer, ferris wheel, and carousel sets for Creator. The biggest hurdle was always finding a way to spread out the costs of making a new track system among lots of sets.
Great review! Really captures the inconvenience of this set. I wish they had a way to remove the rollercoaster then put it back on easily. As a rollercoaster enthusiast, I wouldn’t mind Lego making more coaster sets with that track
I always love to hear your summary at the end of each review because you sun the reviews up very well and deliver it with such honesty and sincerity. It really helps people like me decide if a certain set is worth having money poured into it. And for that, I have to say thank you!
Just started watching Jangbricks and I went from almost getting 60’s bat cave and potentially this...thanks for steering me in the right direction. Got ninjago city and one day might get slave 1 thanks for your LEGO wisdom!
They should make a Lego city amusement park sub series, like: a roller coaster A Ferris wheel A merry go round A big game thing A mini roller coaster A haunted house/silly house A bumper car place A circus/magic show area A bouncy castle (with areas minifigures can be launched or jump) And one of those things that drop down really fast And the smaller sets could be smaller games and stuff, I thought of all this stuff because the new (or old) roller coaster stuff
Good to know that the world exists again! :-D This is why I follow Jang's reviews: comprehensive, precise and above all honest. I admit that, yes, when I first heard of this set, I wanted it. XD It reminded me of 10937 Arkham Asylum Breakout mixed with 76035 JokerLand, plus a roller coaster. Should have been a runaway success. I think the set does look neat as a display piece, the roller coaster piece are remarkably efficient (except for the lack of mechanism), but the lack of floor space is a problem. 10937 looked great from the outside, but also had a neat and usable interior with dr. Quinzel's office and examination room, plus the front desk. Here, I really like the rooms and their allusions to the Lego Batman movie, but they're barely usable. :-S I completely understand the need to keep the price down, it is a toy and not a UCS style display model, and 280€ is already on the expensive side for a Christmas present. Adding more detail was not really possible without driving the price up, or sacrificing other things. Maybe a full on, non-"Jokerised" Wayne Manor might have been the answer? Creator-style realistic on the outside, lots of space to play or recreate movie scenes on the inside?
I love this set purely for the aesthetics. The intricate detail and vibrant colors definitely allow it to stand out from most sets which come off to me as bland. I do agree that small room space (in addition to the placement of the coaster track) hinder playability but it does seem to allow for more intimate photograph opportunities of the minifigures within these rooms, almost as if you were watching them on the movie screen. The meaty instruction booklet is a piece of art in itself and I was particularly impressed with the sticker set. I do agree that it would be awesome if there was a space for the minifigures to land after falling through the trap door; I hadn't thought of that before watching this video! Credit certainly should be given to the developers of this set as the creativity and innovation is unparalleled. I may be biased as a 25-year-old who is chiefly interested in the appearance of the set (I'm not the type to dismantle finished sets) but one cannot deny the enjoyment had during the building process; I don't think that aspect was adequately emphasized in this video. All in all, I could not be more in love with my purchase of this set (my first "splurge" purchase after becoming a lawyer) but I certainly do see the merit of concerns with the playability (especially for younger children) and the price tag certainly can be a dealbreaker for some. Great video!
Thanks for your honest review Jang. Your review's thorough and fair and helped me decide not to buy this set unless it's on sale. This set is $400 in Australia and I'd rather save that toward the proper roller coaster set. Keep up the good work!
Thanks for the detailed review. You're the first reviewer I've seen to actually show the roller coaster car's underside in detail as well as some other details I hadn't seen before. At one point I was actually planning to get ALL Lego Batman Movie sets, but some of the bigger sets, like this one, have me questioning there value despite the great exclusive figures that I would love to own.
Very unfortunate how such cool idea for a set has so many issues. The new roller coaster system is great, but perhaps Lego should have tried to build it opposite of how they have it here. Putting the higher sections at the back would allow for easier access to the play spaces.
The fifth best batman set in my opinion. First is the 66 batcave, jokerland, arkham asylum (the 2013 one), dynamic duo funhouse escape, and then this. Best Batman Movie set however, if you count that as a different theme or subcategory.
to be honest, even though knowing their now have been multiple sets with roller coasters out by now, looking at this, i would be tempted to buy it because of the level of detail, though it is like more a UCS style set in a way. with that i mean is that the play value is not that high indeed, but really, the attention to detail is awsome. I do agree though it would have been nice if all joker stuff would be easly removable.
I really enjoy the small details this particular line of "movie based set" have. They tend to be too expensive for my taste, but definitely very inspirational to examine. I think the Ninjago city set was a good example where the play functions enhanced the set. This one, I am not convinced about. I think it is intended as a very expensive play set for the rich kids, or a very expensive set of exclusive figures and/or part for the older folk. A bit of a niche audience.
Completely agree with you Jang. Even though I will still get this set for the manor and figures I agree that it is just too all over the place. I REALLY wish they had just done a Wayne manor set and expanded those few good builds like the movie theater and the sound recording studio and the kitchen even bigger. Plus we still have never gotten a proper Wayne manor but 3 arkham asylums and you can't tell me that a Wayne manor set wouldn't sell.
Did anyone else notice the Batman '89 reference with Harley's shirt? Smilex is the poison-type thing that Joker puts in various products, if I'm not mistaken
Or a few more pieces and you could've had alternate builds. Given the nature of lego as a construction toy playing the joker transforming the mansion could've been a nice play feature and also an introduction for killing joke and jokers renovation of the theme park from that story.
Sorry to be a pedant but Barbara is Batgirl - Batwoman is a different character. Your review is spot on - a collection of little scenes with little chance for minifigure interaction. I do like it as a thing, and would have been impressed if it was a MOC, but as a production set I feel it’s a bit of a curiosity. Keep up the good work and thanks for the honest review!
I want it and may buy it in very near future, plan to use it like a main entrance to a fairground with the Ferris Wheel, Carousel, Mixer, Haunted House etc. But the very last end of JangBricks review makes me think twice... I don`t care for the lack of depth and access to some of the areas in the back but in the other side the review makes me unsecure... It will serve as a proper Fairground entrance folks? Yeah?
If you can (copyright is a thing) please include more images of things you are referencing design wise. For instance, trains. You know a lot about trains and know what some are modelled after, I don't. It'd save me a Google search if you could show a photo. Simple suggestion. Keep up the good work, you are an inspiration to being family friendly yet adult engaging.
I like the roller coaster and the build, but combining the two limits the playspace, I would have rather separated the two in two separate sets. But still it looks like a REALLY fun set
You know, after watching the review, my opinion has changed slightly of this set, it does look quite lively and fun, especially the roller coaster, but it lacks a lot of other stuff to make it even more fun, use your imagination, traps, other rides... That said, you know what would have been super cool? If they made a set of Wayne Manor, another set with the Joker Manor, and instructions to actually combine both sets to make it look like this one (or even better), it would have been simply awesome! And it would be much bigger and, hopefully, have more space to play with the minifigs, good idea, no?
the creator wheel, creator carousel, the new roller coaster, and this joker manor makes a nice fun fair and you can add some of the smaller friends stuff and the pirate coaster
This set has a problem. For someone who collects Lego DC Super Heroes minifigures, I cannot pass by the fantastic lineup of exclusive figures. But price aside, I want something that is display-worthy. An intact Wayne Manor would be a better option for AFOLs.
Or at least they should have made it less Lego Batman themed and more Batman themed. You could take out a lot of the childish jokes/lego references, for actual references to Batman comics.( i gotta say i dont like how lego batman movie joker looks)
@Connor Davis: yeah, I thought of that initially. However, Jang said the Joker parts are integrated to the main structure, so we probably need to buy extra parts to make it work. @Lego,marvel, Star Wars: Adult Fan of Lego :) @Rory Cheshire: haha agree. I'd like to think adults are merely grown-up children :D
I’m a little sad that there aren’t more people who love the Lego Batman movie for what it is and want just plain Batman stuff. Especially people who see this and wish it was just Wayne Manor. This is such a cool and interesting build just the way it is, making it a plain manor would be so boring compared to this. I mean, to each their own, a lot of people are just coming across as though they hate fun.
Nathan Blair I think at some point a regular Wayne manor could be fun but they would need to put a smaller batcave beneath it. That would make the set more interesting and add a fun play feature to get down to the cave below.
the aspect why i buy it, is not mentioned at all in this review: it's a set of contrasts: either in art (grey monotone house versus colorful explosion) or psychologically (introverted versus extroverted) .. so it's a kind of "mental" set, crazy somehow - joker crazy. joker goes therapy :) That's what makes this set so special, i think.
Honestly I’d like a Wayne manor set but of course it’d need play features . Like I like the inclusion of the bust and piano but a grandfather clock would have Made it better .
Wow, the look of the coaster and train design is really cool! I would love to see coaster sets in the future, it looks more realistic then Knex coasters now, never expected Lego to have a better coaster design in comparison to Knex, but this is awesome!
Those rollercoaster pars get me really excited. I cant wait to see what lego does mext with them. Also, those little train wheels willbe very useful for narrow gauge mocs
Comparing this to Joker Land. Joker Manor: -Is a very large building -First set to use the new rollercoaster pieces. -Decent minifigs -Nice detail -Very expensive -Kind of a mess -Difficult to play with thanks to the track Jokerland: -Cheaper -Very good minifig selection -Builds that represent each character very well -Excellent for play -BATMOBILE
Your verdict of this set is exactly how i feel towards most non collectible lego lines such as nexo knights, ninjago, star wars, etc today. It always seems like they want to go half half with the appearance and play features, and we end up missing out on a lot of sets' potential.
i got this took 2 of these took off joker parts and made a Wayne Manor modular building in my city took the joker parts combined with both joker fun houses and boom two good play sets
Honestly I still want it I’ll will probably make an an environment around it for playability and also build a lot of Daleks to go around it also get a Voldemort minifig
I’m surprised how well they made there piano in this set, I️ wish they had stairs that went to the second floor so if I️ was to buy this I️ could animate it straight out of the box, nice review jang 👍
The set itself doesn't interest me as much as it could, but I DEFINATELY want to get my hands on the roller coaster track and mechanics. That's something I've been waiting for for a VERY long time. Even if it is most similar to those cheap Pinfari coasters you see at smaller parks.
It would be really nice to be able to remove the Joker stuff and have a regular Wayne Manor underneath. Then kids could add the Joker stuff on during play as it gets taken over.
*Robin & Batgirl's capes are swapped.* Anyone have any thoughts about this whole huge set?
*Robin & Batgirl's capes are swapped.*
When I first saw this, I was ready to Save whole year for this. But after listening you I agreed with most of the things and decited to buy other sets that I like More. Well review'd! Thanks for helping!
JANGBRiCKS ok
The minfigers Only came
In this set right
Its funny I was thinking to myself that this was an odd set in so much that its a kiddy set at afol prices but you summed up pretty much what I was going to say.
JANGBRiCKS could you reposition the order where you put the tracks on or are you limited to putting them only where instructed?
I like how the Joker Packed away his Family photo instead of ruining it or Smashing it.
shows he does have some heart in there.
Just finished building this set, got to say I really love it! It's bright and boldly coloured, it's just totally crazy! Brought a big smile to my face. I don't care for the lack of playability, it's gonna be a colorful item in my room! Just love it!

I wholeheartedly agree with Jang on this one. The model's well built and has a lot of good detail but there isn't much substance.
agree
I rarely buy new sets, but I still appreciate honest reviews. Thanks, Jang.
sweet

Jang, can you do a moc where you modify the design to create a plain Wayne manor?
I think that Lego should have made it a Wayne Manor with detachable joker parts so that you can have it as Wayne Manor or the Joker Manor.
Like little studs on the sides and little technic slots...
2 in 1 maybe
Just started watching Jangbricks and I went from almost getting 60’s bat cave and potentially this...thanks for steering me in the right direction. Got ninjago city and one day might get slave 1 thanks for your LEGO wisdom!
Incredibly detailed set! I do think though that a normal Wayne Manor would be better.
They should make a Lego city amusement park sub series, like:
a roller coaster
A Ferris wheel
A merry go round
A big game thing
A mini roller coaster
A haunted house/silly house
A bumper car place
A circus/magic show area
A bouncy castle (with areas minifigures can be launched or jump)
And one of those things that drop down really fast
And the smaller sets could be smaller games and stuff, I thought of all this stuff because the new (or old) roller coaster stuff
The cute Mimikyu omg yeah like the smaller stuff can be like hose teddy bear games and ring toss and all that.
We already have a Ferris wheel and carousel but I’d like a roller coaster and haunted house
Good to know that the world exists again! :-D
This is why I follow Jang's reviews: comprehensive, precise and above all honest.

Lego needs to start making roller coasters like knex does.
14:05, Jang saves the world by fixing Batgirls belt, but then goes and breaks it again by calling her Batwoman. Lol
I love this set purely for the aesthetics. The intricate detail and vibrant colors definitely allow it to stand out from most sets which come off to me as bland. You did a great job. I’d love to see you mash this with Arkham & 1966 Batman Wayne manor & Batcave.
AMAZING REVIEW! Really love how you help us figure out if this set is for us or not. I really appreciated this, thanks so much!
I'd buy two and stick them together and modify this into Wayne Manor
Angrius Windstorm and maybe remove all the joker part to make a longer rollercoaster track
Personally i love this set but i would have agree with jang about space
Thanks for your honest review Jang. Your review's thorough and fair and helped me decide not to buy this set unless it's on sale. This set is $400 in Australia and I'd rather save that toward the proper roller coaster set. Keep up the good work!
Hmmmm... was not built to be turned in to plain Wayne manor you say.
Challenge accepted.
The controls for the roller coaster is: 1. HA! 2. HA HA! & 3. BWA HA HA HA!
I appreciate your honesty. Also, you just saved me 250 quid. There's more impressive sets for me to spend hard earned money on.
I wish we got an actual Wayne Manor set. Maybe, you could put it on top of the Batcave.
Yeah I agree - or a Wayne manor set that you could “Jokerise” to look like this, so you could have both looks in a single set
Thanks for the detailed review. You're the first reviewer I've seen to actually show the roller coaster car's underside in detail as well as some other details I hadn't seen before. This combined with Jokerland and the Dynamic Duo Funhouse Escape would make an awesome Joker/villain themed fairground build
Don’t forget Jokerland!
The fifth best batman set in my opinion. First is the 66 batcave, jokerland, arkham asylum (the 2013 one), dynamic duo funhouse escape, and then this. Best Batman Movie set however, if you count that as a different theme or subcategory.
i would agree with you but you forget the Original Batcave
I agree, the joker fun house looks like so much more fun and is a gem of a set. Now we are all just still waiting for a good Wayne Manor set....
9:09 when i noticed the box labeled 'wylde style' i laughed so hard
I see a Lego amusement Park in my head and it makes me happy.
Has no one else noticed that when he was reveing the disco versions of batman Robin and bat girl Robin and batgirl had swichted capes
I want a wayne manor set
Reminds me of the line:
*"Imma rename this as the Buttmobile"*
to be honest, even though knowing their now have been multiple sets with roller coasters out by now, looking at this, i would be tempted to buy it because of the level of detail, though it is like more a UCS style set in a way.
with that i mean is that the play value is not that high indeed, but really, the attention to detail is awsome.
I do agree though it would have been nice if all joker stuff would be easly removable.
I would want this set only for Batman's family photos and the exclusive minifigures!!
10:49 that's actually not just "more tiles", the designer of this set is portuguese and decided to make an easter egg with the portuguese flag ;)
And it's not the first time he sneaks in a portuguese flag in a set
Tomé Silva thanks that's actually good info and helps me to understand it better 👍
Thank you for that size comparison! That is incredibly useful for me :)
Even though I will still get this set for the manor and figures I agree that it is just too all over the place. i get the feeling a Lego city carnival theme is coming
Just bought this for my son(and me)for Christmas. He'll be over the moon.Shhh!
PHILOE BEDDO’S SON C’MERE LOOK WHAT YOU GOT FOR CHRISTMAS
awesome dad
Did anyone else notice the Batman '89 reference with Harley's shirt? Smilex is the poison-type thing that Joker puts in various products, if I'm not mistaken
Robin's not wearing briefs. The pool Batman has briefs on. They're painted over the tops of his legs.
...Robin's wearing a THONG.
Still should've been a regular Wayne Manor
Dylan Keelbold I agree, joker just messed it up 😂😂
Or a few more pieces and you could've had alternate builds.
Given the nature of lego as a construction toy playing the joker transforming the mansion could've been a nice play feature and also an introduction for killing joke and jokers renovation of the theme park from that story.
I wish they made it modular style like ninjago city, it would be perfect
Sorry to be a pedant but Barbara is Batgirl - Batwoman is a different character.
Your review is spot on - a collection of little scenes with little chance for minifigure interaction. I do like it as a thing, and would have been impressed if it was a MOC, but as a production set I feel it’s a bit of a curiosity. Keep up the good work and thanks for the honest review!
16:23 *Well thats kinda ironic*
Keep up the good work, you are an inspiration to being family friendly yet adult engaging.
this
Tip: to access the lobster thermador use chop sticks or tooth picks but I haven't tried it because I don't have this set
I like the roller coaster and the build, but combining the two limits the playspace, I would have rather separated the two in two separate sets. But still it looks like a REALLY fun set

I thought that the Batcave was in the basement?
It is
They can't do that and there already is a bat cave set for the movie
the creator wheel, creator carousel, the new roller coaster, and this joker manor makes a nice fun fair and you can add some of the smaller friends stuff and the pirate coaster
That set looks awesome!
Dude, i think you spelled lloyd wrong
Nope, i whant it to be just like this
Loyd77 cool
One of my favourite batman sets ever
When I watch your videos I feel like I have the actual set/s. Thanks so much for making these great videos!
This set has a problem. For someone who collects Lego DC Super Heroes minifigures, I cannot pass by the fantastic lineup of exclusive figures. But price aside, I want something that is display-worthy. An intact Wayne Manor would be a better option for AFOLs.
Jonathan Davin you could take off the joker part for Wayne manor
Or at least they should have made it less Lego Batman themed and more Batman themed. You could take out a lot of the childish jokes/lego references, for actual references to Batman comics.( i gotta say i dont like how lego batman movie joker looks)
Afol?
No harm but Lego is really made for kids not AFOLs just saying but tbh I agree a wanye manor would be awesome😊😃😄😆😆😆
@Connor Davis: yeah, I thought of that initially. However, Jang said the Joker parts are integrated to the main structure, so we probably need to buy extra parts to make it work.
@Lego,marvel, Star Wars: Adult Fan of Lego :)
@Rory Cheshire: haha agree. I'd like to think adults are merely grown-up children :D
Great set, I think the price puts it outside of the price range of my niece and nephew Christmas gifts
I’m a little sad that there aren’t more people who love the Lego Batman movie for what it is and want just plain Batman stuff. Especially people who see this and wish it was just Wayne Manor. The reason I want this set: everything about it
My thoughts when I got this: I love this set👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍
thank you thank you for spending your time and money so we can enjoy your videos
It's almost like the set doesn't know what it wants to be.

I love the build it looks so cool!
appreciate your honesty, man.
Am I the only one who actually likes and has already bought this set?
Lunamiss Gaming SNAP! I love this, as it was designed and made for... as a scene from The Lego Batman Movie... With this in mind, It does a good job!
i know. This set is really cool. I actually like the build. It's also good for a lego batman movie stop motion ( good idea ) I also have this set
Got to wait until March to get mines, everyone loves this set
Oh! Disco Batman has the blue eyes in his set.. like in the movie.. if only all the regular batmans did too.
still a nice set. Would love to see this modified to just the Wayne Manor
Comparing this to Joker Land.
Joker Manor:
-Is a very large building
-First set to use the new rollercoaster pieces.
-Decent minifigs
-Nice detail
-Very expensive
-Kind of a mess
-Difficult to play with thanks to the track
Jokerland:
-Cheaper
-Very good minifig selection
-Builds that represent each character very well
-Excellent for play
-BATMOBILE

That's kind of ironic
Where is GNAJBricks???
Jimwar Lego Freak Hes deleted that channel by the looks of it as I cant find it and the links for it are dead.
Dead
Your verdict of this set is exactly how i feel towards most non collectible lego lines such as nexo knights, ninjago, star wars, etc today. It always seems like they want to go half half with the appearance and play features, and we end up missing out on a lot of sets' potential.
The picture you showed is of hearsts castle! I was just there!
If you collect enough of the roller-coaster rails you have to make a roller coaster tycoon moc
Thank you for the honesty!
6:56 not very micro !
i got this took 2 of these took off joker parts and made a Wayne Manor modular building in my city took the joker parts combined with both joker fun houses and boom two good play sets
Honestly I still want it I’ll will probably make an an environment around it for playability and also build a lot of Daleks to go around it also get a Voldemort minifig
We should have gotten a BRUCE WAYNE figure in this set, I mean it is called The Main Building without the Joker Stuff is called WAYNE MANOR! !
I didn't like the opinion on it but I do feel that you took your time and reviewed it very well 👍
for the track system it could use a series of magnets and metal to propel up hills like they could put it into the larger slopes
Jang - great balanced review, and a good observation of the market. Hope Lego don’t lose sight of this as they did some time ago.
I want this so bad it has a lot of useful pieces like the lobster and guitar and microphone
1:14 Ok Barbara, FIRE!
I’m surprised how well they made there piano in this set, I️ wish they had stairs that went to the second floor so if I️ was to buy this I️ could animate it straight out of the box, nice review jang 👍
Please do a custom build for batman's mansion
The set itself doesn't interest me as much as it could, but I DEFINATELY want to get my hands on the roller coaster track and mechanics. That's something I've been waiting for for a VERY long time. Even if it is most similar to those cheap Pinfari coasters you see at smaller parks.
Nightwing's cape would be good for Batman.
yeah it would...
1:00 describes Tumblr I think
"Small straight sections"
It would be really nice to be able to remove the Joker stuff and have a regular Wayne Manor underneath. Then kids could add the Joker stuff on during play as it gets taken over.
Am I the only one who hits like before even seeing the video? Lol. Thanks for your reviews Jang!
Maybe you could hook up with that roller coaster addition with your own power functions
