It’s literally 1/4 of that price at Aldi. I flash sear mine on high heat on all 4 corners. Crust in unrefined black pepper /mix of both wide and crushed granules along with Himalayan pink salt. Absolutely delicious! The sweet sauce you were talking about is Ponzu sauce. I was inspired after eating this dish at my local sushi joint. Not willing to drive 40 minutes to an hour just to get it when I can go to Aldi 5 minutes away 😅😂

It seems like you have a pretty good handle on cooking, thanks for sharing. I was looking for someone to make a dipping sauce. That dip sounds intense, but I will definitely take some notes from you.

I saw you make the slices but where did all that extra surface area come from? I haven’t seen meat cut in such a way before. Almost like a little spring, how did you cut the slices into that unique shape?

i tried this but mistakenly bought trader joes tuna. It was brown enough to pass as well done before I even took it out of the freezer 🤮. Im sure its normally delicious, but only make this if you are willing to spend a few extra on a good cut.
