I just can’t believe it’s 2021 and recycling is going to landfill for many previous years we where going forward in recycling but the last 5 year been heading backwards
@@Tom22Lr It gets either sorted or just straight dumped into landfill. Sorting does not mean it will get recycled though, only good quality recyclables are recycled, the rest like most of the plastics and the paper (especially when it was compacted together with glass shards) has no real value so the bales will get stored or dumped. I‘m guessing around maybe 20% recycling from commingled recycling bins at maximum will actually get recycled nowadays. With dual stream it‘s a different percentage because the paper is collected separate from glass and bottles meaning it has better quality and therefore a higher chance to actually get recycled.
@@laurin4339 yeh like tin cans and that are easy to recycle and they can make pretty easy value from aluminium and steel plastic glass and paper is a lower price if not nothing per ton

@@TheAustralianGarbologist ok. Can you also get to do some more Camden videos please
@@Ari.h1m sure
I enjoy a lot this vid. Well played man
Cool
Why do they mix garbage and recycling seen it in a lot of videos
They have no where to take the recycling as China has stopped imports so there is no point for two trucks
@@TheAustralianGarbologist I wonder what happeneds to the stuff that gets collected by a dedicated recycling truck
Aye
