Yep. Alabama girl here. Three digit temps and high humidity and it is only June! I have the original gel and love it. Plan on upgrading to the stronger one when this one is out.
Honestly for us southern girls (I live in Georgia) the humidity never really truly stops lol

The stronger hold gel is my favorite gel of all time! I live in a humid area and it works well in summer and winter. The best thing about it is how well it holds up throughout the week and reactivates easily with water. Also love the slip it has as someone with coarse, high porosity hair I need all the slip and moisture! It feels good on next day too and not all sticky or tangly like some strong hold gels

Ouidad is the OG of curl products and care. I first discovered the ACC gel back in the 90’s at the Ouidad salon in NYC. In fact, I learned about “breaking the cast” at Ouidad it just wasn’t called that at the time. I own both the regular and the strong hold versions of this gel. Love them both.

Update: I got the Stronger Hold version, and my hair is shiny and silky, but still has hold! Got so many compliments about my hair. The Stronger Hold held up beautifully in this humid Florida weather, and I LOVE IT! 🤗👍 (The original one also works and has that nice silky feel, and I still like it, but it is more softer and falls down quicker in this weather.)
This is EXACTLY what I needed before my vacation to Central America. I loved the original for the trip in the past but now I gotta try the advanced. Bianca is always bringing the videos at the perfect time! Headed to Sally’s!

I’m in Orlando, FL and I just got the original one at the Premiere show and I absolutely loved it. I did ponder a while which one to take & thought because the extra hold, it would leave my hair too crunchy, but after this video, I’m not scared to try the extra hold one. Thank you for the comparison!

Thanks for the side by side comparison. Always super helpful. Both sides look great. I’ve been a Ouidad fan for a long time. Have been on a Not Your Mother’s strong hold gel kick. Summer in Houston is no joke so off to try the Ouidad strong hold.
Ouidad needs to bring back the OG Heat & Humidity gel formula from before it was called 'Advanced' & the Tress FX gel formula from when it was called Vitacurl, not VitaLcurl. They were perfect. I met Ms Ouidad years ago at her salon, bc I used to fly to NYC regularly to stock up on her products when they were hard to find & pretty much all I used. Since the company sold again, the formulas changed again... I have salon sizes in the new formulas that I rarely use, bc even though it took years to find other things that work well & I was so upset bc I'd been super loyal to Ouidad for so many years, Curlsmith has been working so well for me instead. Ouidad should market 'Classic' versions of their gels using the formulas from before the most recent change. Bianca, you still look gorgeee as always tho! xo 😘
I too love a strong hold gel and I live on the humid east coast. I use and love the original humidity gel, but now you have my curiosity peaked. I will be purchasing and giving the new one a try.

Love your energy! I am a total fan of the Ouidad Advanced...gel. (original formula). I use it as my finishing product. It has great shine! But the best thing about it is that it instantly eliminates the poof and takes the frizz!! I will now try the strong hold!

I have 3c hair. I’ve used Ouidad products for MANY years. Ouidad Moisture Lock Leave😅 In Conditioner and Advanced Climate Control Gel were my Holy Grails for 20+ years… until the Stronger Hold Gel came out. I now use Moisture Lock Leave In with the Stronger Hold Gel in the Red Bottle. Ouidad’s Climate Control Gels are the ONLY gels that have ever worked for me with the high humidity in Louisiana.

I love the regular hold; will have to try the strong hold! 💪🏾 Ouidad's Coil Infusion gel cream is good, but my hair still shrank even though it stayed defined all day. Advanced Climate Control kept my definition all day w/no shrinkage. And the next day all I did was remove my loosly tied scarf & fluff. It was still defined, lustrous & moisturized (I have fine high porosity 4a-ish hair). Definitely will try strong hold!

I live in the Bay Area, CA but in the East Bay where the marine layer at night has so much humidity. So even though it might not be hot my hair will get frizzy. I've been using the stronger hold on and off for 4 years. It's definitely in my top 5. I love the slip in it.

I've recently started using Eco Styler Super Olive 10X Moisturizing Gel. I live in the second hottest part of GA. (We're not at the bottom, but close enough to the equator if you ask me.) It's surprisingly good! No flaking, soft firm hold, defined curls (even on the hottest days), and, since I DO use a leave-in, my hair still feels moisturized at the end of the day. I'm going to have to try the Ouidad brand. I've already shared this video with both my curly-haired nieces and all my curl friends.

I have chronic migraines. Many salon brands have overwhelming scents. These gels have scents that I am fine with 👍🏼🙂

I used the advanced humidity one on a cruise from Florida to Mexico and it worked great.
I was curious about the difference between these gels so thsnks for this comparison video. I received the Advanced Climate Control in an Ulta Curlbox. I am interested in the strong hold gel along with the hydrating deep conditioner. I live in NY and the humidity is getting heavy, will try out the advanced gel soon. I also have my favorite Curlsmith gels that help with my frizz. 😊

Thank you for making this video, the strong hold would be perfect for my 12 yr old daughter 4c hair. She wants to wear her hair down like me BUT if she does her shrinkage looks like a afro. She has amount of hair of 3 people. When I take her to the salon the stylist is always almost in tears I have to tip them well.

I like the video, however, I think a humidity test should’ve been showed. You know how long it lasted in your city or state. What was the humidity or dew point?

She doesn’t live in a humid climate so I don’t think she could show us
@@winterwaffle16 Actually it can. If it doesn’t work for her humidity, it won’t works for mines. It’s all about judging her hair and trying to gauge if it’s worth spending on. The average dew point in California is in the 40s which is ideal for the best curls. So if I don’t consider her curls to be the best for an ideal dew point then I won’t purchase it as I live in Florida which has a higher dew point

You're right the strong hold does look more defined. Luckily we don't have to worry about humidity.
I have course high porosity crown and in humidity the hard hold doesn't seem to help prevent frizz in NYC humid weather.
Need to go find that frizz fighting video. Brb 💨

Humidity is the worst enemy for me in the summer. Gotta love Texas. Also Bianca was wandering if you could help me. The right side of my hair holds my natural curl/ wave and the left side holds it for a little while but it completely falls by the end of the day. Idk what im doing wrong.

Have you tried the Love UR Curls Irish Sea Moss gel yet? Not sold on their all-in-one products (more of a hard-hold gal because of superfine hair texture). However, don't want to be disappointed again due to high price point and no free shipping.

I have fine wavy hair and the original Ouidad was one of the worst gels I've ever tried for my hair type. Seeing the stronger hold makes me want to give them a try again.
I have been using the stronger hold gel for 2 years now. And I live in Florida and this gel has been great for me when fighting against humidity and keeping my curls in tact. However, used the Yuka app and scanned the Ouidad Humidity Stronger Hold gel and Yuka said there are alot of bad ingredients in it! 😩 What do you recommend in this situation, Bianca? Because now I feel like I should stop using it and find a natural gel that fights against humidity
For your next trova trip you should travel to the birthplace the piña colada aka Puerto Rico , they have gorgeous beaches all around and unique places like several bioluminescencent bays they have 3 out 5 in the whole world plus the only rainforest in north America and no passaport needed
How would you compare Ouidad advanced with Curlsmith Shine strong hold?
Is it possible to have 4a roots and the rest 3 something? I can’t tell if I have horrible frizz or thick curls that don’t show definition. You can’t see my root curls.
have you ever tried the Shampoo and conditioner from the same brand?
In my case I have high porosity 3b curls. My hair is a bit dry at the ends and it gets oily close to the scalp :(... With the red gel (I tried the other one too) I noticed that Indeed it gives more shine, but my hair gets oily very fast 😒😔. I am not in love with this product... I still use it though... I bought a huge bottle haha
I think your hair looks better with the original product rather than the super hold product. It looks bouncier. The other side looks flatter; not a lot, but noticeable to me. Hair looks great, either way. :)

Is this going to work for my hair? I have type 2c hair and a lot of products weigh my hair down and I live in the south and it’s very humid and I have such bad friz in the summer. And I really hate having that cast I’ve seen this recommended so much but if anyone with similar hair to me (light fluffy loose curls/ tight waves)
