It's 57 cloudy and rainy in NJ. We are still picking a few greens out the garden to make salads. My kids love veggies.. I got an extra Turkey after Thanksgiving and I cooked it and took all the bones and carcass and have it on the stove cooking down to make Bone Broth. I use the bone broth to make large pots of Chili with beans and turkey, Barley and Lentil, pumpkin, butternut squash soups for the winter months. I save all our veggie scraps from the carrots, celery, and onions to add into the bone broth and let it all simmer for 2 days.
It’s 35 here in South Carolina, no snow but cold. I do make pigs in blanket with crescent rolls with hot dogs or lil smokies sausages (mini size) I also make pizza rolls using crescent rolls marinara sauce,pepperoni slices then use mozzarella string cheese (cut half) insert half of that string cheese so it’s easy to roll up n bake in the oven. You can dip in marinara sauce. It’s simple snack for 2 adults,no kids, no pets.
I live in Waterford City Ireland .... weather is very very cold here at the moment and we just had storm Darragh pass over ... the original name for pigs in blankets was Kilted sausages or Kilted soldiers .... take care
