Cj would’ve thrown for 400+ and 5 touchdowns if he didn’t get taken out early. That stat line he had was basically accomplished in the first half alone.

Stroud has played as well as or better than Allen, Mahomes or Burrow. He protects the ball better than all three. The only reason you can't put with them would be smaller sample size. Does anyone think he's going to regress? He's more likely to get even better, if that is even possible.
Feels like he is already peaked. Just led the league in TD/INT ratio and yards per game. How do you get better? Hyper accurate, quick processor, aggressive and takes care of the ball.... Only thing that improves here is a more aggressive approach from the OC and better weapons. People don't want to admit this but who is actually better than him right now?
Allen and burrow? Lamar clears them easily

Stroud has a better oline than Burrow. So Burrow's accomplishments in Cincy still stand above CJ. I love CJ though, and always thought he should've been the first pick.
Future seasons may see regression as opponents accumulate data on him. But that still leaves room for him to be awesome
Stroud is a beast on the field and a hell of a young man off it. He deserves all the success he's enjoying.
CJ might very well be the best rookie quarterback ever in the NFL. To me he looks like a guy who’s in his third year and has terrific arm talent. But there was Marino and Roethlisberger and those guys were great early. But Stroud is maybe even better as he has a quick release and strong arm with good mobility and great decision-making ability too. I wrote maybe around October that “No team in its right mind wants to see the Texans in the playoffs.” Cleveland found out the hard way.

I think Simms is right. But if I were an NFL coach and I could start my new team with any quarterback I think I might take Stroud. Yeah, over Mahomes. Stroud has an arm that’s almost as good but I think that Stroud is more fundamentally sound and CJ has some intangibles better than Patrick too.

This award is suppose to be for the most valuable player, meaning If you take CJ out of the Texans they don’t make it this far. Also the kid has done it with WR’s that no one has heard of until now. Lamar is doing it with OBJ, and Mark Andrew’s a 3x pro bowler.

I mentioned OBJ because despite him being hurt most of the season, he is still a solid WR and he’s hyper famous. Zay flowers was a huge pick up for you guys when you drafted him 2023.
All I’m saying is if you swap CJ and Lamar the Ravens would still be going to the Super Bowl and the Texans would not.

I believe the Steelers lose and we play the Ravens next. I also believe their defense won’t be stupid and make it easy. I’m kinda pumped to see CJ and Slowik against a legit good defense. This will be the real test. Let’s go!!

I know that. Just saying Slowik had their number. I think the Ravens will make it tougher. Who knows? CJ could carve them up too. I just expect this to be a tougher challenge. I respect the Ravens defense more to say nothing of Lamar’s ability to keep CJ on the sidelines.
But I do think we can win. We should be road underdogs and we’ve done well in those games all season.

I disagree. CJ is one of one. Earlier this year after a tough loss, CJ publicly took a shot at his own offensive staff for not being more aggressive. I don't think Stroud would have allowed the inept offensive concepts to continue. @@poundtrader1414

I’m afraid Texans might drop a stinker next week. Texans had a bad game against the Jets because it was like they never saw bad weather before. I would fly to Baltimore and practice at a college stadium or something on Wednesday/Thursday to get used to the elements and stay there til Saturday lol.

It was just the wind gusts, not bad weather in general. Stroud has played amazing in bad weather games in college. Just like the Jets game, the only college game he ever threw bad in was a game vs Northwestern with 30 mph wind gusts.
It supposed to be 20 mile wind gusts. Baltimore should win regardless, but just want the Texans offense to have a chance.

Top 5 QBs - change fundamentally how the defense approaches them every given down, can create, score any quarter, only need one drive to win the game
Top 6-10 QBs - each of these QBs are dynamite, they might need to be ahead early in order to win the game, have had 1-2 bad games, but overall consistently a threat at all three levels of coverage.
If we were going based on the games from November to January, Matthew Stafford or Kyler Murray could probably get the final two spots, I placed Kirk up there just because of the hypothetical of him being healthy he wouldve lead the league in passing.
Jalen Hurts and Tua have both played relatively bad, however given the Fins were playoff bound to secure their division and dropped the ball...I let Tua slide, but Jalen has been bad.
Jordan Love > CJ Stroud simply because of the competition they've dealt with (this is not to take anything away from CJ Stroud or the Texans they fought teams that were projected to be in the playoffs, Saints, Bengals, and Jags, as well as incredibly hot teams at the time like the Broncos. They have really bad losses though to the Falcons, Panthers, and the Jets.
JLo has beaten the Lions, Rams, and Chiefs which should say a lot, even though they did lose to the Giants and the Falcons as well.
Dak only gets carried because of his season stats, but that playoff game...that was some Cowboy bullshit.
