It breaks my heart and soul I have to be in a home in God's name cause of what happened to my father it kills me because yet I'm out here suffering and cause someone has no heart to tell me that
The heart chakra is the center of our being and the receiver and transmitter of emotional vibrations. Having fear or trust issues are indications that it is blocked. But holding on to resentment is a major indication that this chakra is blocked. It keeps the heart chakra closed and in a lower vibrational state.
Resentment is a complex, multi-layered emotion that has been described as a mixture of disappointment, disgust, anger, or fear. When we experience this negative emotion toward someone, it is because they did something that hurt us or didn’t do something we wanted them to do. Many of us may have difficulty forgiving since we may justify resentment as a defense mechanism to remain in a lower vibrational state that we may find comforting since our emotional pain is “numbed”; whether it be because of the ego, fear of change, being unaware, a congenitally weak heart chakra, etc. It’s possible that we may think we forgave someone by accommodating them in some way, forgetting the harm done to us, or thinking we don’t hold a grudge anymore. Although our minds may facilitate it, forgiveness is in our hearts. When we let go of resentment that we have toward someone, we are actually restoring the positive flow of our heart’s subtle energy field. This is fundamental to manifesting with power since the heart field (gratitude) provides the motive force for thought and feeling vibrations to cause resonances in the quantum matrix of reality.
The technique to let go of resentment is actually quite simple, however, the only thing that’s worthy of concern is weather or not one can be humble. Being humble is energy that flows upward within us. We must ask ourselves if we are willing to let go of our resentment whereby we can restore the openness of our hearts so that we can receive infinite Source energy. It could very well be that we, ourselves, are in the wrong and having a dialogue goes a long way in resolving misunderstandings. Similarly, it’s easier to forgive when we fully understand why someone did or didn’t do something since we can see things from their perspective. It’s also easier to forgive others when we don’t compare our own strengths to the weaknesses of others. Furthermore, when we see ourselves as less of a “victim”, then it’s also easier to regain the control of our emotional state that we may have abandoned to someone who offended us. On the other hand, sometimes people fail to understand how their actions or lack of action negatively affected others. In which case, it would be our duty to speak up and let them know how their choices impacted others.
In the context of letting go of resentment, however, the word “forgive” is a misnomer as it suggests we are doing something “for” someone or that we are “giving” them something. Nevertheless, we must be able to exercise compassion for those who hurt us by speaking blessings into their lives. Suppose that someone hurt you in some way, they could be suffering from cognitive distortions or perhaps even a mental illness of some kind. If someone hurt us then it could also be that they were mentally, physically, emotionally, or spiritually weak to make an alternative choice in the matter. Since we would want others to have an understanding of us when we aren’t at our best, then we ought to extend this very attitude toward others. For these reasons, we must speak blessings into the lives of others who hurt us. Rest assured, we don’t need to be facing them in real life to do it. And therein lies the paradox: When we speak blessings into the lives of others, we speak blessings into the lives of ourselves!
For those of us who are ready to let go of resentment, here’s a simple, powerful, practical technique I learned:
1. Make sure you won’t be disturbed or distracted.
2. Get two chairs.
3. Arrange them near one another.
4. Sit in one.
5. Imagine the one who hurt you sitting in the other chair as if they are right there in real life paying attention to you.
6. Tell them out loud how what they did or didn’t do made you feel. Yell, scream, shout, or kick; get it all out.
7. Tell them that you could understand why they made the choices they did. Tell them that you decided to let go of any and all negative emotions that you have toward them. Poof.
8. Then tell them something like this out loud from your heart: “I bless you with prosperity and abundance so that your desires are fulfilled. May God give you strength and protection. I bless you with peace and love”.
If the above technique is effective, you will experience a “warmth” in your chest. This is your heart chakra being in an open and positive state. Imagine that forgiveness restores the heart chakra to a baseline level and that speaking blessings is the act with which the heart chakra is opened further, thus elevating one’s rate of vibration. Being humble is the general direction of this positive emotional dynamic.
The technique may need to be done more than once to fully release negative emotions. Do the above technique for each one who you may be harboring resentment toward.
