1 Minute Microwave Chocolate Chip Cookie Recipe
    For 1 large cookie
    Prep time: 5 minutes
Cooking time: 1 minute 10 seconds
    Ingredients
    1 tablespoon unsalted butter, melted
    2 tablespoons light brown sugar
    1/8 teaspoon pure vanilla extract
    A pinch of salt
    2 teaspoons whole milk
    3 tablespoons of all-purpose flour
    2 tablespoons semi-sweet chocolate chips
    Directions
    1. In a cup add in light brown sugar and melted unsalted butter and whisk to combine. Then add in pure vanilla extract, a pinch of salt, and whole milk and stir to combine.
    2. Add all-purpose flour in (1) and fold until homogeneous. Finally fold in semi-sweet chocolate chips. Also dark or special dark chocolate chips are wonderful for this recipe.
    3. Transfer to a microwavable plate and form one big round cookie. For successful microwaving, the center should be thicker than the edges.
Now microwave the cookie for 30 seconds at 700W. And again microwave for 20 seconds. Finally microwave for 10 seconds. The power of individual microwave oven varies, so take a look and stop microwaving when the center is set and the edges look still uncooked. The cookie should continue being cooked and get firmer out of the microwave oven.

a lot of you have the problem of it turning cakey here’s the solution:
    -don’t melt the butter
-add one extra spoon of flour
-and two extra spoons of brown sugar
THEN COOL IN FRIDGE AFTER COOKED
this way it becomes crunchy on the outside and soft and chewy in the middle like a REAL COOKIE!

Hi, in fact when I make eggless or flourless recipes, I am more concerned with individual's nutritional needs. Eggless is good for people allergic to eggs and people who think egg in cookie wouldn't get fully cooked after just 1 minute of microwaving. And flourless is for people on no-carb diet and partly on gluten-free diet (there is gluten-free flour).

Eugenie! You are such a talented person. I'm only 14 years old and I want to start baking and things related to that. So I found your channel fortunately! I have one question though, when do I add the baking soda for oven uses?

    • @EugenieKitchen
      @EugenieKitchen  10 років тому +10

Hello! Welcome to my channel, Ryan Richardson. :) Baking soda is a chemical leavening agent which is 4 times powerful than baking powder. But baking soda is activated only when there is an acidic ingredient in the batter such as cocoa powder, lemon juice, chocolate, honey, buttermilk, etc. So that's why many chocolate recipes require baking soda (and less baking powder.) Here is a related video: Baking Soda vs. Baking Powder: The Difference By the way all the best to your baking journey. :)

At first I thought this was a chocolate chip cookie cake. A local bakery used to make them and we'd get them all the time when I was a kid.
The chocolate chip cookie is certainly an oldie & goodie. It'll never go out of style.
A scoop of vanilla ice cream to the side would compliment it well.

This was my first ever microwave desert recipe attempt... and I have to say it was great! Thanks so much for posting! I will be making this again... :)
For those who are out of brown sugar and want to use white sugar instead, there's a very easy way to make brown sugar at home and it is much better than the store bought version. Just add approximately 1 tablespoon of molasses to 1 cup of white sugar. Then mix it with a fork or whisk and viola! That's all brown sugar is.
By making it at home, you get softer sugar (instead of those rock hard bags at the store), you can make just enough for the time being (or make a big batch and store it for later), and you can adjust the amount of molasses to make dark or light brown sugar.
    Hope this helps!

Hi, you can skip vanilla, it's just auxiliary flavor. But it's true, everything (almost) is way better with pure vanilla extract.

I prefer oven baking myself but my girlfriend always messes up when baking with the oven so maybe she can do it with the microwave. haha. She baked me a lot of things but I only ever got to try two of her cookies. She don't want me to try them unless they are perfect but appreciate the thought and I love her just for trying to bake for me because she never used to bake before

Ah.. I don't really use alcohol for my channel (except rum and cognac for French pastry) but thanks for asking. A cocktail cake is very original idea! :)

I used margarine instead of butter and it was by far the most delicious microwave dessert I've ever made! The margarine made it super light and fluffy, and it had a texture more similar to a cake or a muffin than an actual chocolate chip cookie, but I liked it that way. I will definitely use this recipe again.
