One of those few instances when the cover is better than the original. Nailed it. I do like Van Morrison quite a bit, but this is so much truer to the intent of the song.

Wow, I bet you could sing the phone book! Great voice!! I saw you on Music City Roots at the Factory and really fell in love with your voice & performance. I knew I had to find you on UA-cam to hear more!!
I can envision a confused group of Millennials and Zoomers reading this comment and trying to figure out what a .pdf file (downloaded on a coffee shop's public WIfI network and viewed on an iPad) of the iPhone 13's User's Manual could possibly have to do with a streaming music audio performance thru listen to through their AirPods (or "Beats by Dre").
They won;t figure out what you meant with the phone book comment, and will want to turn you in for your non inclusive speech that offends their sense of humor through it's cryptic nature, but they will be unable to "Drop a Dime" on you for it ...
... principally because they aren't really sure what this 'dime' thingy actually is ... and if they did, they'd be unsuccessful finding a phone that accepts them (as they search the local museum for historical artifacts that were connected with (GASP!)n ... steel braided wires connecting the giant cellphone to the (like TOTALLY separate parts) silver keypad without a screen or a backlight.
In desperation they would call on Siri to explain this mystery, and good old Artificial "Intelligence" does not disappoint, but they give up once and for all when they finally get the process figured out, and reach down to their pants pocket in an effort to pull out this elusive "dime"...
... only to discover that this is truly impossible ...
...Because you can't get your hands into the pockets of Skinny Jeans 3 sizes too small.
(yes, my jaded 47 year old ass typed all of that out. Overkill? Perhaps. But you know I ain't wrong, now am I?)
My Gen-X snarky-ness aside (hey, at least we can leave the keys in the ignition overnight with no fear that they will try to start up and make off with our stick shift vehicles ...this tactic works even better than "The Club''' ...
BUT ... I did say snark-iness ASIDE:
You are preaching to the choir here, regarding her amazing musical talent and stunning voice. I agree, this gal is one Hell of a talent and I am sufficiently WAY impressed. Looks like a class-act, to boot, which is so rare to find behind a camera or a microphone these days instead of freestyle rappers sampling bars from "The Tide Pod Posse" in Autotune.
I'mm'a shut up now and go watch an even split of reruns to maintain my sanity. Half "The Wonder Years" and the other half "The Goldberg's". (On BetaMAX)
If you haven't heard her Bonnie Raitt cover, give that one a listen. This cover is right up my own musical alley and rarely is it EVER covered in a quality way by a younger artist, and Liz nails it in a kick ass duet. This is one act that I won't beef paying the $200 general admission charge at whatever Fu-Fu one of our NorCal Winery stages she'll invariably be playing at when she's in my Area of Operations.
