Not sure how Josh defines "never" but UO at UM in 2007 was a thing of beauty.
You guys can do it. Good luck. Hopefully this can be your year!
Got a little respect for fsu. Derwin James is my favorite safety of all time. Good luck this year and I hope you guys can leave the acc soon. That conference is a pile haha
@@yamiven6m Thank you!
Oregon went to Columbus and beat Ohio State 3 years ago. They've BEEN ready
Facts!!
Without our best defensive player
@@cjcurtis8944 Yes. Our "Game Wrecker".
Oregon O-Lines is stout. The defense improved dramatically, especially secondaries. I just can’t wait for the season to start. Let’s GO DUCKS 🦆🦆🦆🦆🦆
I think we need to tell Josh he's gotta stop doing this. I mean talking about how stout our O-line is, or how well Dan Lanning has done on the recruiting trail, and getting us pumped up about the upcoming season. This is really getting Duck fans excited and he has to stop getting us pumped up about our chances in the B1G. 😁
Ohio state fan, Oregon is definitely ready there automatically the biggest threat in my eyes
Same for you guys. October 12th can't get here fast enough.
So the last time Oregon played Michigan in Ann Arbor was 2007, Oregon won 39-7. Wasn't the Wolverines best year.
The first two months of the year Oregon was the best team in the country. Then the thing happened. Best 4 loss team of all time, and Josh Pate, it’s not close
That Michigan team was losing to group of 5 teams
@@RadicallyOptimisticoregon only lost twice last year tf
@@XxBonzeD4Kill4xXhe’s talking about the 2007 Oregon team, which fielded Dennis Dixon, who would have won the Heisman if he didn’t blow his knee out at Zona. “The thing” that happened.
@@XxBonzeD4Kill4xX Oregon only lost 2….. in the PAC-12. That’s not an accomplishment.
Oregon is very ready.
USC, UCLA and Washington? Not so much.
That’s how it seems to my eyes as well. Definitely going to make watching B1G games have more excitement this coming season !
RTR
Nice to hear and see you talking Oregon again.. Would love to hear more..
The Pac-12 was objectively good last year. Better than every league but the SEC. People didn’t understand that so they took Oregon’s eye test with a grain of salt. All those teams Oregon beat up on were no worse than the teams Michigan and UGA beat up on. How did we know UGA with Kirby’s always underwhelming secondary is stopping Washington? Oregon was there last year. Will they be there again this year?
The sec? The sec shouldn't have even had any teams in the playoffs last year. Bama was a mistake.
The mistake that took the Champs to overtime right ?! Makes perfect sense to nobody but you apparently…
RTR
@@skipgumphrey9579 bama lost. You want a participation trophy? Bama didn't belong
I’m not asking for a trophy. Bama did lose the game. I neither asked for anything nor stated that the team deserved a trophy. You obviously missed the point. My point was that Bama took the eventual National Champion to overtime. That’s certainly closer than anyone else’s effort, and plenty proof that they belonged in the CFP. You’re obviously entitled to tell yourself whatever you’d like in order to feel better, we don’t mind the hate…
RTR
@@skipgumphrey95794th and 31 was it? That was wild to even be in the SEC championship
Oregon has already proven they can go in to Big 10 stadiums and win. How many Big 10 teams can say the same about Autzen?
Ohio state can
@@ebayollis Who?
@jmulvey371 the team that owned the ducks for 9 straight games prior to the last .lmeeting...has beaten them more than another team has. Will they beat them this year? I dont know. But to play the "who" card is just gay
I and everybody thought we were talking about Autzen Stadium. Perhaps you have a comment to make on that topic? No? Too gay?
@@ebayollis woah, when was the last time Ohio state has played Oregon at Autzen? Not recently, I promise you that stadium is one of the loudest in the nation. But that is fine. Y'all about to find out. It will be a good game, but don't think you are gonna walk in and just roll Oregon at Autzen. Watch the interviews of coaches from other conferences when they do play at Autzen...... They will tell you I don't need too.
Oregon is the only team that will definitely be alright in the big ten
Theyre elite. The other 3 im not so sure unless USC take a big step
@@XxBonzeD4Kill4xX
USC is a sleeping giant. With the right coach, they could ignite and take off. I hope not, but that’s the reality of it.
Love my Oregon content 🙏
I'm marking up another notch on the scorecard of national college football analysts who think that Oregon is a National Championship contender for 2024. You are at least the 4th person to make this assessment. In Eugene, it's, "In Dan We Trust" He has absolutely knocked it out of the park on recruiting trail. One other analyst said the offense is locked in, but weren't so sure of what defense could do at line of scrimmage. But still a defense that could be ranked in top 10. Going to remain calm and only get excited if Oregon wins conference title game and goes to playoffs. That will tell the story right there.
Yes, I believe they are. I have them beating Ohio State at home in the regular season but losing to the buckeyes in a Big10 Championship rematch.
Could they play in the playoff after all that? That'd be 3 times. Crazy to think.
I think that is a legitimate scenario. It’s very difficult to beat a team twice in one year. I think Seminole87 brings up a realist possibility though, they could end up playing three times. Wouldn’t that be something?
Ohio State is a little ahead of Oregon in terms of recruiting these last several years, and their coach is more experienced. Lanning just seems to have the “It” factor. He’s going to get his, it’s just a matter of time.
Oregon recruits like an SEC team look at the size they have added since lanning got there. He didnt i herit anything bad by anymeans, but Oregon looks like the real deal.
The Oline is big, the Dline is big and agile, i think they're #2 in the confrence over Michigan and right behind Ohio State, and had Ohio State not made the portal additions they made, Oregon would be RIGHT behind them.
Agreed. Lanning is a fantastic recruiter but still needs to improve as a HC. Some bone headed decisions kept Oregon out of the playoff this past season
@@dallasmorrow21I agree but he’s young and I’m willing to live with the mistakes as long as he continues to show improvement. He’s got the development and recruiting down just needs to take that next step as an in game coach.
@@ShyonMottaghi yep. It’s to be expected when a first time HC takes over a program like Oregon. Marcus Freeman has made some mistakes (10 men on the field🙄) but he’s shown a lot of improvement just like Lanning
Go Ducks!!!
We are in a prime spot to win the big 10 I don’t know if we beat Ohio State
Oregon has a top four roster nationally and hungry for that NATTY! 🦆🔥🦆

FINAL: OREGON DEFEATS OHIO STATE 35-28 I was there. Terrific game.
I think Oregon wins that game, barely, but I think they pull it off. It’s the Whiskey game and the Michigan game that concerns me.
I think they are the favorite in my opinion
Im in wait and see mode with Oregon. Last year I kept hearing how great they were and how they were a top 4 team and then see them lose their toughest game of the year twice.
Agreed. They’re two toughest tests last year washington and they fell both times. They were close but lost nonetheless. Then their bowl game they got matched up against Liberty so they never got to prove themselves. After Washington, all of the opponents they played ended up with 4+ losses. So yes they were 12-2 but what did they have on their resume?
They lost to the number 2 team in the country twice, hard to fault them for that. No doubt they were an elite team last year, top 6 for sure. This year they have patched a big weakness in their secondary and upgraded their Defensive line depth chart. They are easily a top 4 team this year.
It's understandable to feel that way, Oregon had the talent to beat them. Dan is a new head coach he's taken a few bumps and they've hurt. But Dan learns and I think his roster this years is the closest he's had to what he needs to run what he wants to coach the way he wants. This roster is also has the deepest quality depths it's ever had too. Lots of Plus's this year over last year.
Oregon will be just fine 🦆
Oregon already recruiting better than everyone in the B1G besides Ohio State.. I think they'll be just fine in the B1G, but there are still some unknowns..
They recruited better than Ohio State for 2024. And they have a better transfer portal room
@@zehsackett6132 I wouldn't say "better", they just took more recruits and transfers.. Ohio State was still ranked higher overall with less players.. Oregon had a great class though and should have another good one.. they're waaay ahead of everyone else in the B1G as far as recruiting goes..
@@zehsackett6132
They had a boat over OSU due to the overall amount of recruits signed. The average stars goes to OSU. It’s not by much though. Still, the last handful of years, OSU has had better years than Oregon, again, not by much. Oregon is very very talented.
Oregon will win the Big Ten.
For me, it seems that every year since Lanning has been at Oregon, there's a lot of hype about them winning the conference or having a standout season, but it never materializes. So, for now, it's a wait-and-see situation. I don't see them winning the Big 10 this year, but as always, they will be a solid team.
I've seen Oregon go to play Michigan . . . and win!

FINAL: OREGON DEFEATS OHIO STATE 35-28
I was there!
Without KT to boot!
You should probably specify we haven't seen THIS Oregon team play in the B1G. We have most certainly seen it in the past. In 2021 we saw Oregon go into the shoe and run roughshod over CJ Stroud and Ryan Day. In 2019 we saw them win a nail biter over Wisconsin in the Rose Bowl and even though it was back in 2007 when we last went to Michigan stadium we flat out embarrassed them with Dixon's statue of liberty play followed later by the fake statue of liberty play. Just saying.
To be fair, OSU defense was horrible in 2021 and it was only CJ's 2nd start, but it was a good win for Oregon nonetheless considering they were 0-9 vs Ohio State going into that game..
@@BB13131313 Very true but Anthony Brown wasn't exactly a top tier QB either. And to his credit I think CJ still threw for something like 381 yards and 3 TD's, their defense just couldn't stop the CJ Verdell/Travis Dye combo to save their life. But like you said we were 0-9 including an embarrassing loss in a national title game going into that so damn it, I'm clinging on to this one lol!
@@jeremygilbert7989 yeah they won fair and square.. it was just one of those games..
@@BB13131313 I see people bringing up 0-9 but forget that 6 games were played in 1956-1987 when Oregon was nowhere near the program it is today. The way people bring it up you would think these all happened since 2000.
@@ShyonMottaghi meh, it's all in good fun.. I have to hear Ohio State's record vs the SEC all the time lol.. bringing up the first CFP National Championship is all that's necessary in this case..
My "guess" is that the Ducks finish 2nd behind Ohio State.
i think they will split the difference possibly. oregon beats ohio state in autzen then loses the B1G to them or maybe its the other way around ohio state pulls off a close W in autzen then oregon fires back and beats them in the champ game, either way both these teams need to be on everyone else radar for natty contenders and they will both be in the playoffs
That Oregon defense is huge lol
oregon’s biggest hurdle is THE ohio soft university, so basically oregon will have no troubles winning the big 10 👍🏼
I think Oregon will be really good this year and have a great trajectory, but they haven't even won the Pac-12 since 2020, so "no troubles winning the B1G" is just silly..
Undoubtedly a top 2 in the B1G right away, this year anyway. Should be a regular top 4 year after year. They're gonna be a problem for a long long time.
They way they are recruiting, that doesn’t look to change
Oregon is not last year's Oregon..they are hungry, they have something to prove...they are going to be that blow the doors off house without Mercy kinda team
Im worried about that game at Wisconsin in November. Big trap game for us
don't think that Michigan game will be a cake walk (I'll be flying in for this one).. But yes, that game will be on a frozen battle field with lots of hard hitting.
@@johnjmcfarland3211 never said it was a cakewalk. I'm just more worried about mid/late November in Wisconsin. I also stated a trap grame...Meaning a game where the opponent gets overlooked. You Michigan people always need to be included in everything don't ya 😂
Whiskey and UM will be a tough task to get through unscathed.
Yes, Oregon has with Michigan and beat them both did you not Know that Josh!
We did see Oregon @ Michigan the ducks won 39-7
Come an' get some...
I think having OSU travel to Eugene to open the season is gonna flip the script on the question everyone's asking about "west coast teams." Even assuming these were "west coast teams" name the last time any top west coast team played someone east of the rockies (not named Notre Dame) where the game was on the west coast, or hosted in a "neutral" site that wasn't uber friendly to the east coast teams? This year we get to stop pretending time zones don't matter, because this year the Buckeyes have to travel west, this year year they have to deal with the time zone difference instead of the other way around. And a "west coast team" already proved they could beat OSU because Oregon did it in the Shoe a few years ago.
ACC teams are gonna face that this year, several other B1G schools as well. Really the SEC won expansion simply by maintaining a tight zone of control. People were making fun of the ACC grabbing SMU, Cal, and Stanford, but besides the clout of the best of the Pac 12, what about those acquisitions made more sense? It's still putting a strain on athletes and their athletic departments. Teams in the B1G and ACC will still have traveled a thousand or more miles extra than SEC teams have. The SEC also still gets to host "neutral" site games in places like Orlando and and Atlanta, where they can pretend they beat a team that traveled three times zones on the "road." This is the biggest reason I'm excited for home games in the elimination round of the playoffs. Southern teams have to deal with December/January cold? East coast teams have to weather time zones like west coast teams have had to for decades of BCS and now CFP nonsense? It's gonna be so fun to watch.
Hot seat year for dan Lanning too much talent to lose to washington a 4th time in a row or not make the national championship
You just said something stupid. OREGON BEAT MICHIGAN 39-7 IN 2007 IN MICHIGAN. You might not have seen it, but it's the most recent. Your bias is showing.
With any luck they lose everything in every sport
the Pac-12’s explosive west coast offense will expose the B1G’s traditional old school northern football. it’s a topheavy overrated conference and can’t wait till Penn State doesn’t get bailed out always going 10-2
The last 2 Pac-12 teams that played for a National Championship got destroyed by B1G teams..
@@BB13131313 yeah and those were Michigan and Ohio State. what about the rest of the B1G? the rest is mid overrated POS and you can’t deny that. everyone says the SEC is only Georgia and Alabama well what about the B1G? it’s no difference
@@GoatedAtNFSI currently have Oregon as the 2nd best team in the B1G.. but the whole "Pac-12 exposing the B1G" is nonsense.. the Pac-12 sucked forever until last season.. I agree that all conferences are usually top heavy, but B1G has programs like Wisconsin and Iowa that people laugh at but can ruin your Saturday..
TCU got destroyed by Georgia. Oregon didn’t get “destroyed” by OSU. Washington didn’t get “destroyed” by Michigan. They both missed a couple important first downs and lost the fight because they saw the opportunity to win slipping away. Then when they were running the ball to run out the clock they scored some more TD’s with most likely some backups.
@@Nate-zw7si Nothing will be worse than what Georgia did to TCU.. but Ohio State gave Oregon a whooping, let's be honest..
