@@Erika-bj1em So you didn't abandon AC/DC when Bon Scott died! I find it rather strange, only because most of us left with Bon. I'm 60 years old now, and to my amazement, Brian Johnson made them huge! I like the same songs you do, but I only bought Back in Black and that was all. George Harrison passed away on my 30th birthday, November 29, 2001. My favorite song of all the songs I’ve learned in my forty years of drumming, and which is one of the most beautiful, heart wrenching, spine tingling and “true” vocal performances I know of, is My Sweet Lord. Every instrumental nuance, and every single syllable George sings is clearly drenched with genuine emotion. The orchestration is absolutely beautiful, the song structure and the way he gradually introduces the various instruments into the mix is sheer musical genius. Listen to how he utilizes the tambourine, an instrument that the Beatles collectively and separately have used brilliantly. It’s a critical feature in the overall sonic landscape. Then he so wonderfully and cleverly brings in the snare drum backbeat and full drumset. It’s a masterpiece of production and composition in that the recording quality is imperfect, but it’s that slightly jamming, organic character that makes it feel all the more real and believable to me. At one point George’s voice cracks, as though he’s nearly overcome with the emotional longing to be in the company of his Father. His prominent use of Sanskrit prayer mantras on the outro of the song, and his choice to include the Hebrew word for “Hallelujah”, which is “Hare Krishna”, gives testament to his undeniable love for and devotion to his higher power. I suppose it’s more fair and accurate to say that there are many other equally powerful declarations of human emotion poured into song, but in my opinion there’s no song that can inspire the powerful presence of the Holy Spirit than this priceless four minutes of gospel.

My mother died of lung cancer after 53 years of imitating a coal fired power plant. The last thing that she told my father before she went into a coma, "Don't let anyone say that smoking did this." I understand her addiction because I was holding her hand when she took her last breath. I had a cigar in my mouth. It took me another 7 years to quit tobacco.
But you kicked it!🤟 I'm 60 years old and have smoked for 45 years. In a way, I think it's probably too late for me 😕. Then again, even now, I also know that my attitude toward quitting is just a lame excuse for not saving my own life! I need to get an attitude adjustment big time. My husband of 34 years and 40 years together died in 2020 from throat cancer! It was 100% preventable and he made it worse by adding cheap vodka to his smoking. He was only 59 years old when he died, and I became a widow at 56! I'm already disabled from age 38, when I was bitten by a deer tick and developed Lyme disease. It seems as if I were just falling apart! The first place it attacked were both of my ankles.I literally woke up one morning, got out of bed, and fell on my face! It hurt more than childbirth, and the pain is so intense I can't even describe it! So after that, I started a journey into Hell that continues to get worse. Lyme is a spirochete bacteria and it's totally incurable. I know. You would think that with all the diseases and conditions modern medicine has cured , Lyme would be easy to cure too. Wrong! This bacteria is smarter than people! I kid you not. I would prefer to have died than live with such a wicked, painful, exhausting illness. It will kill me if something else doesn't happen to kill me first ... I'm not usually a negative person, but this illness has been the worst nightmare I can even imagine. I still have a sense of humor, even about this....why not? I have a freaky disease with no cure! Now....can anyone help me cope with it? Can anyone help me quit smoking? Advice would be great! Does anyone have any advice for me? Bring it on!!!!!🤟🤪🙏 Thanks in advance!
Sad 😢, How so many rock singers have lost a child in horrible ways!!! Also losing all these great band members in some kinds of deaths!!!!! I've been a fan of AC⚡DC since I was an 8 year old kid in the summer of 1976. TNT pulled me into the Young Brothers world and I'll be a fan until I'm cold and blue!
Vince Neil really has a problem when it comes to his morbid obesity. As seen in the early videos , Vince was thin , fit and an attractive man. Now he wobbles around on the stage huffing and puffing attempting to sing while catching his breath. He's performing to crowds as little as 50 people eager to rake in what few dollars he can . Vince should consider moonlighting pitching Weight Watchers to add the additional income he desperately needs. Vince can be heard sucking in air as he grunts and moans onstage. Such a shame .
It seemed Freddie’s Mom really Loved 🥰 him, so I can’t figure out y he didn’t let her throw out his ashes? I’m sure she got some, and even some of his money 💴! I can't believe they didn't win mention Iman when thy spoke of David Bowie. He is and was such a driving force to him and played a much more important role than some of the other hussies mentioned.
Thank God Clapton is teaching his kids about real music. The lady on hear called him gramps. It's people like this lady that consider taylor swift a talent.
Agree... her comment was rude, NOT necessary and honestly PISSED me off but after listening to her voice she not old enough to have that kind of opinion on actual talent... lol just MY opinion.
This was so informative. Excellent piece of work!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Judas Priest British Steel Tour was the first concert I had attended and trust me it rocked even harder than you can imagine. I always thought Lindsay Buckingham was a chick because of the name Lindsay. Thanks for the info on that.
Ive seen all the bands in this video and many many more,I grew up in Jefferson parish La and the Superdome had concerts all this time,Once a year there was Day in the Dome then changed to Rockin the Dome Back in the 80s where 7 top bands would play,Then there was The Worlds fair, more bands played then the Lake front Arena was built where thats where i seen PowerMan 2000 and Kid Rock, that was the last concertt i went to before i moved out of state after Katrina,The Amphitheater always had bands playing,i see Red Hot Chilli peppers there,Then we have City Park where the Voo Doo fest would take place. Ive seen so many bands in La,oh and the Hard Rock and House of blues...My Sisters husband had a band and he was also an Attorney who Produced Bands in the City so i was always going to concerts in the 90s and 2000s with her... Im 58 so im a 80s headbanger who also loves Rapp from the start of it all,I was watching Cash Money and Lil Wayne on our local music channel back then....
It's weird the way they fail to mention David Bowie and Iman relationship. I noticed how they mentioned all of the other rockers wives and romantic relationships and completely left the love of David Bowie's life out of this documentary... It's weird.
Nikki Sixx = Prima Dona. Seems after all he's been through, he'd be a little more grateful for his 2nd, 3nd, and 4th opportunities at life. I do applaud him, however, on his support of those with depression.
I saw Van Halen at three different backyard parties free of charge in the San Fernando Valley I live in San Dimas California and Pasadena is just down the 210 a little ways they were everywhere they were still under age and couldn't play nightclub I am the same age as many of the band members and greatfuly and much better health
I read that someone drove Bon Scott home as Bon had passed out in the back seat. The guy left him in the car all night and it was freezing outside. Supposedly he choaked during the night.
No he didn't choke. Bon's official cause of death was acute alcohol poisoning. It didn't help that he was left in a car in the middle of a London winter. His family were very hurt with the false accusations of he choked on his own vomit, and years later that he died of a heroin overdose.
I went to a concert of Clapton . It was a place that had some seats under a canopy or ceilings . It had the kind of seats beavers. There was about ten rows of. Seats, the rest of us had to stay in the Lawn. It rained during it. It turned into a a drizzleClapton was still morning he’s son so he never smiled and his music and the people were pet. If you need time to morn your child….. be-there for them and don’t tour. 😊
Just wanted to add a very personal opinion and please take it as it is: my very humble personal opinion. I don't expect anyone to agree, neither do I want to insult anybody... especially not Job Bon Jovi himself who's immense talent as a songwriter, producer, vocalist, guitarist and front man performances cannot be underestimated. But... personally I think Jon should acknowledge that it's over. His voice has had it. Again, I greatly admire him for everything he ever achieved but he has "over-used" his vocal cords (and everything else connected to that). Quitting would leave fans with the memory of the young, strong Jon Bon Jovi - being an amazing performer, musical hit machine and and a vocalist so extra-ordinaire that you'll recognize by the first syllable coming out of his mouth. I love you Jon - I love Bon Jovi. But I'm leaning towards quitting and leaving an amazing heritage for young bands and vocalists to come. Luv from Belgium W.
Bohemian Rhapsody was always an obviously coming out song! He killed his straight self!! "Life had just begun and now I've gone and thrown it all away!" In other words, "I've been doing so well as things are, but now, I'm going to throw it all away by coming out gay, it's such a dangerous thing to do." It all fit perfectly to me. it always made me want to cry. I think Austin was his best friend and confidante!
Mary Austin allowed him to be his gay self. She is always walking with him with his current lover a step behind. He was always in fear the truth would end his career which was his first love. He did love Mary she gave him freedom to love those who made him happy. She never liked it but accepted it.
I am a Beatles Fanatic. I watched everything and have seen Clapton and The Solo careers of the three live members. George was Divorced with Patty. Then Clapton liked her and he was great friends and he Asked George Harrison. He said he would not be bitter if Clapton went out and then married. He had an affair with an Italian woman and she gave birth to their son. Who fell out the window. I saw him in the 80s after his sons accident. He should have waited longer to go back to work. The show was not good . You can tell he was still upset. We we’re all not having much fun. We paid a lot of money to a bad concert. They only played for about 40 minutes.
I've always wondered about bon scotts death. as a former seasoned drinker, an maybe im different, but i have literally only ever puked from alcohol like 2 times. both those times were LITERALLY for pounding beers too quickly, n needed to puke up all the foam, in order to be capable of drinking more. i never puked as a beginner, an so on. seeing how Scott was a seasoned Alchy, or so portrayed, it never sat with me right that he puked from getting to drunk. most alchy's dont really puke, unless they like smoke some herb, or even smoke too much cigarettes, which can def give you that nauseous feeling.
Im not just a seasoned Irishman i own run and live in a distillery, the average human once reaching a certain level of intoxication will render themselves unconscious and if they have consumed much more than that which hasn’t been absorbed by the body yet they will involuntarily begin to purge their stomach and this is what happened to Bonnie Ronnie. I’ve done it myself and been lucky enough not to have been alone when I began to regurgitate while unconscious
It happens, why do you find it so hard to wrap your head around that? Maybe you didn't drink at Bon's level.John Bonham did the same thing,it even happened to my cousin, had they been on their sides, they'd have just spit it out but they were on their backs so they can't and they basically drown in it. It only takes 5 to 15 seconds before your body start to shut down once your oxygen supply has been cut.
Valerie said that Eddie's smoking was always a bone of contention between the two. I believe she never stopped loving him, young love tends to do that!
What's the tragedy in Freddies life? I always hear that but I never understood it. It seems to me he has a fucken awesome life. Great family, some very close friends. One of the greatest voices ever. Most people are bullied at some point, doesn't mean you end up having a tragic life. Bullies usually end up having miserable lives.
This is an extraordinarily insightful piece. Engaging with a book with parallel content was a transformative experience. "A Life Unplugged: Reclaiming Reality in a Digital Age" by Theodore Blaze
I’ve been trying to find the stupid comment made by Gene Simmons but can’t seem to find it. Please tell me which part of the video it is in. Thank you.
As a lifelong fan of AC-DC I'm torn by Brian Johnson's comment of "the fans deserving his highest level of performance", and, "not wanting to embarrass the band". Then we got Axl as a substitute??? I say substitute because there is NO replacing Brian Johnson. WTF HAPPENED???!!!!
Everybody wants to put me in country I have bought so many black and black people stole from me long live rock & roll Annette 58 years old just to hear that here I am as a young kid and night young kids love the song it's a classic they live on longer than I m OMG I'm still in love with I know it'll outlive my and I'm not long live rock & roll acdc
It is interesting to note that out of all the members of The Beatles, Ringo turn out to be the true stateman/musician of the band! Considering he had always been viewed as the ugly duckling with no talent! Take that "Sir" Paul McCarthy!
I've played golf behind Eric Clayton's house in Columbus Ohio,,,its been said Eric has showed up at open mic nights around Columbus,,,,I've never personally witnessed it,,,,
I'd like to know the story about how they came up with the name "Queen". If Freddie was the main catalyst, could it have been a "coming out" of sorts? I also wonder if his bandmates knew he was gay or bi pretty much from the start, however he identified assuming he was even sure himself, or if they wound up as surprised as a lot of the rest of us. But mostly I wonder what could have been if AIDS treatment had been further along when he became infected. 🥺
@@poppadoc5614 I believe one is born gay or an artist or a genus or short or have blue eyes, the way you are is predetermined by your DNA make up, it is who you are from the day you enter this world
Freddie knew he liked guys way before he admitted it to Mary and himself. Homosexuality is against the Zoroastrian religion so he kept trying to prefer women. But in the 70s he finally admitted his bisexuality to himself, so he had to confess it to Mary as well. As for his band mates knowing. They had their suspensions but, no proof. According to the books Freddie came up with the name as a way to make the group majestic, royal, controversial and unique. He wanted them to stand out from all the other bands and to always be spectacular. That's also the reason he had the leotards made. As Freddie once said, " He wasn't going to be a rock star. He was going to be a LEGEND." Which he did. Freddie was always ahead of the music game.
Freddy’s story would not have been different. His personality and mentality were 1,000 mph and burning just as hot. He would have lived the same lifestyle and gone out young one way or another. His bandmates were very much aware of his failing health. They just didn’t talk about it.
You would have to be a Media Puppet to believe Grunge's pathetic attempts at portraying Tragedy. They don't know the first thing about these careers and untouchable talent that was created. Grunge needs to get a LIFE!

Amazing talented brothers, the music, bass player, guitarist, drummer , Van Halen !
ACDC is very excellent group I always love them forever amen ❤
Sad 😢, How so many rock singers have lost a child in horrible ways!!! Also losing all these great band members in some kinds of deaths!!!!! Robert Plant was a man, who we all know sometimes they will cheat, play around, while they have families at home!!! But other types of singers do the same thing!!! God Bless U All !!!!! Amen 🙏! 🎤🎸❤️🙏✅💔🎧

My first band to ever listen to as a teenager, and still listen to it, great band.
Bravo Nikki Sixx. Depression is treatable
The first album I got was Joan Jett’s I Love Rock and Roll.

3 hr marathon? Yes please
Love them all, grew up on good music, nothing like it👍✌💖
I can't believe I watched the whole thing! I'm a Grunge champion!⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐😍
Randomly clicked on this thinking it was another 10-minute video to pass the time. Three hours later, I'm still here...
Really nice documentary what a super talented guy
I can't believe they didn't win mention Iman when thy spoke of David Bowie. He is and was such a driving force to him and played a much more important role than some of the other hussies mentioned.
A great way to spend 3 hours, thanks 👍🔥💯
In the 80s had the best decade ! The best movies the best songs and live Performances., the best TV shows

wow this was really interesting thank you was entertaining
This is nice
Joan Jett 🖤 I remember buying I love rock n roll when I was 13 years old !
It's weird.
did they mention bowie and jagger? lol
Right?
Do you think it's a racial thing?
I don't want to put in words but it seems that way.
Maybe they had enough other things to say in the time? Idk.. devil's advocate here.. lol
Malcom was the sweetest thing so is Angus Cliff and Brain Cheers to the old days guys 🥂🍾 Rest easy Malcom 💋
Nikki Sixx = Prima Dona. Seems after all he's been through, he'd be a little more grateful for his 2nd, 3nd, and 4th opportunities at life. I do applaud him, however, on his support of those with depression.
She's got the BEST smile, Joan Jett I mean. Love that big grin.
Being a Canadian, rush is one of my favorites.
PRAYING FOR US ALL🪖🙏🏥🇺🇲🌎🕊️
I saw Van Halen at three different backyard parties free of charge in the San Fernando Valley I live in San Dimas California and Pasadena is just down the 210 a little ways they were everywhere they were still under age and couldn't play nightclub I am the same age as many of the band members and greatfuly and much better health
Awesome
Thank God Joan Jett never quit, she earned her spot
I read that someone drove Bon Scott home as Bon had passed out in the back seat. The guy left him in the car all night and it was freezing outside. Supposedly he choaked during the night.
Damn that's wild if it's true how sad
I heard something similar😉
The official report says acute alcohol poisoning, death by misadventure
No he didn't choke. Bon's official cause of death was acute alcohol poisoning. It didn't help that he was left in a car in the middle of a London winter. His family were very hurt with the false accusations of he choked on his own vomit, and years later that he died of a heroin overdose.
I almost exploded my glass of water on myself when I heard the news about him. What a tragedy!
Omg the Clapton story 🤣 the guitar duel like I would love to be there for that
I went to a concert of Clapton . 😊
The messed up thing is out of all those guys the only one who had a normal life before the band was Tommy lee oddly enough
Luv from Belgium

Very enjoyable doco. ❤

Oh Stevie. Georgous! No one like Stevie
No tears in heaven
The resounding theme through every one of these stories is that drugs=life long problems. Don't do drugs kids 🤍🕊️
I have all the Married With Children episodes in a box set. She did look very good in that video.
Rockin!!
AIDS. It's called AIDS.
This is an extraordinarily insightful piece. Engaging with a book with parallel content was a transformative experience. "A Life Unplugged: Reclaiming Reality in a Digital Age" by Theodore Blaze
They left out evh death RIP
Joan Jett is the reason why I love rock and roll and I am a rebel just like her haha to those that denied her
I don't like Gene Simmons much. I like him even less now! What a stupid thing to say😔
He's very arrogant!
I would barely call Kiss a rock and roll band. Just another glam rock excuse for poor music.
I’ve been trying to find the stupid comment made by Gene Simmons but can’t seem to find it. Please tell me which part of the video it is in. Thank you.

Giving yourself over to evil has heavy costs.
Your gaww dammed right Sir !!!

I've played golf behind Eric Clayton's house in Columbus Ohio,,,its been said Eric has showed up at open mic nights around Columbus,,,,I've never personally witnessed it,,,,

@MARQUIS de QUEENSBURY 5.0 Oh sorry
8:15 , not a photo of freddie :D
Pink Floyd, Ozzy, AC/DC, Aerosmith, Dio, Billy Idol, KISS, and Judas Priest.
@@poppadoc5614 I believe one is born gay or an artist or a genus or short or have blue eyes, the way you are is predetermined by your DNA make up, it is who you are from the day you enter this world
@@kimwalsh yes your right. I meant it started that far back.
@@poppadoc5614 ✌
Please name the DNA gene to make one gay. Being gay is complicated N they deserve respect equally.
Thats crazy Jack Nick & Clapyon have similar origin story
I like up Your Ally .😊
Acdc is excellent
The Beatles would be over shadowed by Mr.Eric Clapton. Who happens to be one of the best guitarist ever known.
quick
Happy Holidays Everyone Everywhere!!!💖💖💖
Freddy’s story would not have been different. His personality and mentality were 1,000 mph and burning just as hot. He would have lived the same lifestyle and gone out young one way or another. His bandmates were very much aware of his failing health. They just didn’t talk about it.
So many rock stars lost their life to alcohol, in particular....It is remarkable how many alcohol brought to an early end....
Ground control to Major Tom I guess he got lost in space and may never service tell his mother he loves him very much she knows
YOU COULDN'T DENY HIM THE RIGHT TO BE AT ONE WITH HIMSELF....that's such a nice thing freddies longterm female friend said about him...aaah!
Brian Johnson is a great front man for acdc but, Bon Scott is irreplaceable.
You would have to be a Media Puppet to believe Grunge's pathetic attempts at portraying Tragedy. They don't know the first thing about these careers and untouchable talent that was created. Grunge needs to get a LIFE!
Bowie said I never done good or bad things or out of the blue and everything about Major Tom ashes to ashes
