Was expecting the cat to return the favor. Hope the bunny 🐰 can get out of that cage.
Hate to say anything bad about a cat, but this kitty seems cognitively impaired. Any cat or kitten I’ve ever known would have pushed her way out of that cage as soon as Bunny Rabbit showed her how easy it was to bump her way to freedom. Or even earlier. Foolish humans did not secure the locks. Too busy setting up cameras.
Maybe kitty had Stockholm syndrome or had succumbed to institutionalization syndrome. Her friend Bunny just seemed to want full use of that comfy cage.
The rabbit is so smart and so kind. And beautiful fluffy.

Rabbit - "I think this is too advanced for me, can't get you out."
Cat - "Uuuuuh tell me some good news please."
Rabbit - "Well maybe I can get inside..."
Rabbit - "Heh i'm inside now, with you."
Cat - "Well great, we're both stuck."
Rabbit - "Heh no, I can just lift the gate like this."
Cat - "OH, whew, I was almost stuck in there with you. Now to just lock this..."
Rabbit - "HEY COME BACK!"
Rabbit - "Dang, he really just left me."
Amanda, did you hear of that story in the US about an elderly man who collapsed in the toilet, and laid down for some 6 hours? Guess who helped him? It was his cat! He said that each time his phone rang, he would tell his cat it's ring-a-ding. So he remembered to tell his cat to go get me my ring-a-ding. Yes, the cat brought him his phone. He called for help bcz he couldn't get up. He was over 80 years old. Help came thanks to his cat fetching his ring-a-ding fone. I live I Australia and saw this story in the news. Cats are neither selfish nor dumb. It all depends on how you teach them, same with kids.

The rabbit just wanted his home back! If the cat wanted to get out she do that in no minute 😄😄😄
In my case it was the other way around…my cat would open the bunny’s cage if I closed it, so he and my other cat could cuddle with him even at night; the three of them were best friends.💕

I think the rabbit holding open the door for the cat to exit was very gallant! The cat didn't really catch on how to get out but it soon wanted to leave and banged the bars without serious intent as it didn't know how to open the cage. The rabbit came to the rescue again..!
I don't see why you would view the rabbit offering the cat time to leave as anything but assistance..the cat doesn't want to stay caged!
@@Georgia.J neither does the rabbit. Caging a rabbit is the same as caging a cat or dog. They are just as intelligent.

Я тоже раньше думала, что коты эгоисты и думают только о себе. Но один раз мы жарили чебуреки и из некоторых из них сок протекал в масло и на кухне стоял жуткий треск от расклленного масла. Так наша Моська начала так громко мяучить, фактически без остановки, и звала нас бежать и спасаться из кухни. Она даже показывала путь на выход, возвращалась и снова мяучила)) Это было так трогательно, как она пыталась нас спасти.
Думаю в тот день Моська получила все свои вкусняшки и много обнимашек, да ,очень трогательная история .

This is a lionhead. They are bred for their cuteness, which messes with their physical structure (flatter face) and leaves them highly susceptible to health issues with their teeth. It's a real problem, like pugs, bulldogs and any animal which is bred for specific "looks". I have a lionhead and he had to have surgery to remove his top teeth when the bottom ones fell out and didn't grow back in. Before surgery though, he needed to have his top teeth trimmed every month because they keep growing with nothing to grind them on to wear then down. This is added stress for the rabbit. So now he has no incisors and I need to cut up everything he eats into tiny bits so he can eat it.
If you're going to get a lionhead, I urge you to rescue one and give it a good home, and not buy one from a breeder or pet shop because it is irresponsible to breed animals for their looks, subjecting them to higher chances of pain and health issues. Make sure you are checking their teeth often and learn as much as you can about rabbits before you commit to one, because they are as intelligent as a dog or cat and locking one up to live in a cage would be as cruel as caging your cat. There is a lot to learn about rabbits, I highly recommend the House Rabbit Society for accurate information and education.
Rabbits are not good pets for children, so if you have children, be sure to assess thoroughly if they are the right fit for the rabbit. If they are younger they can easily hurt or kill the rabbit, even with good intentions, so wait till they are old enough to learn and understand how to properly care for a rabbit.
All very true! I would also like to add that water bottles are impractical at best for rabbits. They drink a lot of water and cannot get adequate hydration with one!
@@Jamiesayla YES!! Thank you! This is an excellent point I forgot to mention, but it did not get past me watching the video. Water bottles are insufficient sources of hydration. My bun has a big heavy glass bowl (flat bottom, or you'll see water everywhere) and I refill it every day. Rabbits drink a LOT and they enjoy a good sturdy bowl.

I would say get a healthy breed, not one that has a lot of health issues.
@@rpersen if you know ahead of time and have the capability of caring for one who needs rescue, rescue a lionhead or elderly rabbit. If not then ya, obviously find one with no health issues, or don't rescue a rabbit at all, because health issues can occur at any time and if you're not capable of giving them the care they need, it is selfish to adopt any animal.

The rabbit didnt really rescue the kitten on its own. It was helped by raising the cage door up by the owner. And in the end the kitten got out and the rabbit got locked inside instead lol
