Happy birthday Matt! Kind of bittersweet seeing this fun trip come to an end. I don't think I could ever get tired of seeing the beautiful Czechia countryside. Also, so much foreshadowing going on about the shipping of the trike. It'll be interesting to see how you tell that story via video when it comes time. Of course we've seen how it played out in realtime, but I'm interested to see how you tell the story in video form. Out of curiosity, what rear hub did Brona have on his trike? Was it a Rohloff? I'm wondering what his malfunction was that needed fixing.
@@honza-galla - Thanks for the clarification. I have read about many problems with the Dual-drive hubs in the last few years of production. I fell in love with the design and relative simplicity of maintenance of internally geared hubs a few years ago. I held off on buying a Rohloff hub thinking I could never justify the cost, but having bought one, I know I will have it as part of every trike I ride for years or even decades to come.
Happy Birthday. I have been watching you over a year now. I am 83 and new trikes. Do you clip your feet to the pedals or just pedal and not fear your feet slipping from the pedals?
Matt doesn't clip, but it is strongly recommended to have some kind of pedal-foot-attachment. Either an SPD pedals, or some kind of strap or heel sling.

It was the Dual Drive. In the last years of production they have some issues and the hubs suffered especially on 20" wheels.

my flat pedals grip my feet well and i dont really have a problem with slipping... personally.
