Right! I’ve been with my partner for 10 years. Got married at the end of October this year and I am STILL learning stuff about him. People are too complicated to understand just within a year or however long PRed is trying to learn the real her or whatever.

@@gigaOMEGAno, it is a pretty common practice on anyone with sensitive skin. I used to be a barber, I did facial waxing as well. It is used to protect the skin preventing any bleeding or skin coming up with the hair. Some waxers don’t like it though because it can interfere with the wax gripping the hairs.

My condolences. I'm unsure wether or not you're planning on adopting another pet, but I'd just like to share my own experience about this too.
I was extremely disheartened and swore never to adopt another puppy again when the doggo I grew up with died. Thankfully, with a bit of a push from my mother, I'm proud to say my current doge has been the most talented, intelligent and adorable thing to grace my life since she was 2 months old. I love her, and I'm glad I didn't keep my word about _never getting another dog again._

Wax specialist here: the white stuff is baby powder. It’s applied as a barrier so when you apply the wax it doesn’t adhere to the skin only the hair. Also she’s waxing so wrong.. she’s gonna cause a lot of ingrowns. Ouch

Ken, I think the ashy looking stuff may be cornstarch or some type of powder like that. Sometimes it’s used to keep your skin dry during waxing because if your skin is moist or sweaty, the wax won’t work as well.
It's baby powder on the skin. It's used to help absorb any extra moisture from the wax and the natural moisture your skin makes so it can stick to the area properly.
For those of you men out there who don't know why there is white stuff everyone - pun not intended. It's actually talc to dry the skin and make it easier to apply the wax 😉
