2024 Hyundai ST1 | First Electric Work Van for Cargo and Cargo Refried!

Hyundai Motor showed the first electric truck developed on the basis of the new ST1 business platform.
After selling a record 268,785 electric cars last year, Hyundai is actively expanding its activities from passenger electric cars to commercial ones. The exterior of this model has been designed with safety and practicality in mind, and the semi-bonnet structure protrudes forward from the cab, providing additional space in the event of a collision. Hyundai has added black protectors to the front bumper, side covers and tailgate trim to prevent scratches.
The ST1's lower ground clearance makes loading, unloading and parking easier. Hyundai added a streamlined roof spoiler that connects the cabin and cargo area to improve aerodynamics.
Hyundai said that the first models will be Cargo and Cargo refried, designed for logistics and delivery. The company is already in development talks with major domestic distribution companies to ensure that these models meet their specific requirements and needs.
Hyundai will reveal the final specifications and pricing of its new electric vehicle business platform in the first half of the year. Sales will begin in the domestic market of Korea.
The Kia subsidiary also plans to venture into commercial electric vehicles with its Platform Beyond Vehicle (PBV), which is customizable and suitable for both business and personal use. Hyundai and Kia will compete with Ford, Rivian, GM and Stellantis, which are ramping up production of commercial electric vehicles.
