Trolling Cops With Phantom 3 and then????

- I was kinda trolling around these cops, but trying not to get too close, and then all of the sudden one starts coming towards my location. Spoiler Alert!!!! He doesn't spot me and I made a clean getaway. I never did figure out what happened here, but it seems that it was nothing too serious and nobody was brought out kicking and screaming in cuffs. This was filmed with a DJI Phantom 3 Professional.
Thx to people like this remote ID became a thing
Took the words out of my mouth. Cop see that and assume your up to no good cops best reasoning is “for all we know he could be using the drone to drop off drugs” smh and little did the pilot know that the RF frequency shows up as interference in a cop car that’s how he tracked his drone. By the cop not seeing the radio in his hand he could not identify him as the pilot. But the signal was still there which is why the cop didn’t move yes he was very lucky unless the cop did see the drone. Who knows. But the real question is why did he hide his radio if he wasn’t doing anything wrong?
The concept of no privacy on public areas apply to everyone. Just saying
Not really...and what's more dangerous staring from the sky or walking up to it bc both is pretty much legal. Isn't it funny how God put us all on this earth but we have to obey others rules when we're all equal
Save your old drones without remote id!
@@jesusamador4661 also remote ID was never a thing and isn’t mandatory and easy to shutoff or get one without. There was nothing illegal about this and the people crying are just bootlick fetish boomers leftover from 2013 still clinging on.
I was recently threatened with having my drone seized as evidence for flying near, not in, a crime scene. They claimed I might have evidence if I flew it again. They only seemed to care if I flew again, not what I already had.
No they only cared to lie, and you folded like a cheap suit. Grow a pair, also learn how to fly and land in a way that doesn’t lead to you while you fly out of sight.
how did they find out you were operating the drone ?
@@jjgarzon217I'd like to know this too
"i'm sitting here minding my own business...."
No you were not.
It keeps amazing me how steady the phantom is.
You should see the drone technology now!
Your're allowed to film anything that can be seen from public view.
I'm gonna save it to my sleep Playlist lol
Well there's 8 minutes and 41 seconds of my life I'll never get back.
Yes because you would have spent those 8 minutes doing something productive wouldnt you. You definatley wasnt screwing off watching youtube videos anyway, your comment is null and void sir.
+KYLE REES your broken English is null and void.
Zora Arkus Duntov: "Well there's 8 minutes and 41 seconds of my life I'll never get back." I've heard a rumor, just a rumor you understand, that we never get ANY of it back!
Sarge Karen
your gonna nheeD phäster DRöhn xD
Amazing line of sight buddy.
one of the many reasons why restrictions have started falling in drones
no one got hurt so there should be no reason for more laws
Nope. There are none, stop LARPing.
anyone else see that flash of light from the unmarked cop car at like 3:54 - 4:00
Yup noticed that too! Looks like he tried to take a picture of the quad...
clearly a reflection of the sun. lmfao
+Jake Finnegan +Yvessil +bratan007 What flash? All I see is the sun. Jake knows what hes talking about, but yall are just overreacting noobs?!? nevermind that, just start think about reality please.
Yep, probably his watch reflecting the sun and just happened to hit it in the right direction..
I saw it too and wondered what it was, coincidentally I also hear a thump sound right after the flash of light... at first I thought maybe he fired a gun or something but I guess not since nothing was said about it... idk
oh shit oh no he turned into the school. the way you said it was perfecto 😂
sorry guys, not one of my best flight, but just want to use up some of the flights i have on my hard drive before flying new ones.
Hey man, in all of your videos you are able to fly behind things and not lose signal. I struggle with a simple tree blocking my line of sight. What gives?
+Thalathir which drone do you have?
phantom 3 pro
+Thalathir it could be that the studman has some antenna expanders which you can put on your remote so your connection is more stable.
hopefully i'll get a reply
I have got to tell you, you do keep your truck clean.
sorry to ask this stupid question, but isn't there a new law saying you can only fly the drone if you have a line of sight between you and the drone.
the second question how long is the distance that a DJI phantom 3 will fly away from you with good image received at the controller ?
The answer to the first question is that there is no set law against it here in Canada. There are "guidelines" which are suggestions, not law. For the second question on distance, it really depends on location. I have 5km flight on my channel, and sometimes I can only go a few hundred meters.
that is stupid, but probably its because assh***s who use drones in a bad way !
in the US most if not all cops could care less that you are flying a quadcopter.....the only downside of them knowing YOU were is ...they'd want to fly it too!
Holy shit!!! That’s funny!!! Love the truck too! Love my mustang, former ford guy!! :)
Cop was smart enough to know the operator was nearby & logic depicts it has to land eventually.
Do cops have electronic devices to detect drone activity?
I think it helps to make a hat at the same time.
+GitarStu that would heavily decrease the range you can control that quadcopter in
Hey let me ask you a quick question. Which phantom 3 do you have? Also is it stock or have you done anything to increase the range on it?
it is the pro, and i have gone up to 5km stock
can't believe i watched the whole thing
He probable tracked you transmitter signal and came around to get your vehicle reg just in case. That is why he got in the car and did not leave immediately - he was panning around with a signal strength detector to track the signal direction, same way they track wildlife with those collar transmitters.
Probably the cops break spot in the shade of the building.
That was cool. I am still on my virgin flights. Figuring everything out. Looking forward to making some really great videos.
you will get the hang of it in no time. enjoy, fly safe, and have fun.
thank god you did not run out of battery on that drone :p
right??? lol
nah, i push it to over 20 min flights all the time. That would suck though if that ever happened.
reminds me of the old GTA on ps1 hahaha HEYYYAARRRSSHOOOOOLE
The moment you said you were Canadian I knew you would be ok. LOL
you mean not get shot? lol
That or be verbally harassed... but I watch a lot of trailer park boys so my image of Canadian cops may be skewed
is flying a drone completely legal here? What are the laws in ontario?
This is very good, now the trooper was trying to hide from you, excellent video.
crazy how stable and clear the video is
What kind of drone was this?
I got trolled watching this to the end.....
I have been watching you for a long time and always very impressed with your flights and skills, but I have noticed that whenever anyone asks what mods you have done to get such clear video in built up areas you never replie lol, cmon studman answer your fans mod questions as I am interested too lol
soz clear signal I meant and what you do to get it
Hey Mike, I don't do anything special to get that kind of signal. I have a windsurfer signal booster that I don't use very often, but it does help, and a lot of my flights are from sitting in my truck which is a 2015 F150 which is made of aluminum and I kind of think that my truck is acting as a signal booster, even though that may sound dumb, it seems to help. I have no actual mods done to my drone or remote.
That's video directly recorded on the drone. It is unaffected by signal.
what camera are you using?
the built in 4K that comes on DJI Phantom 3 Professional
is drone flight illegal in your area ? why you were afraid of cops?
not illegal, and i wasn't afraid of the cops, just didn't feel like answering a bunch of questions about what i'm doing and end up with some rookie that takes an hour to realize it is not illegal.
I swear I would lose signal if I was flying my P3P from within my car. must be a high EMI area, because I lose signal pretty easily.
give me a drone 😭
Why did you post this? What's the point?
Why did you comment? What's the point?
Because the title of this video suggests that something happened to you or your property as a result of spectating the police. Seeing as how nothing happened to you as a direct result of your spectating the police the title then becomes irrelevant. Which brings us to my original question. Why did you post this? There is very little content here outside of you spectating police from a great distance. You're basically narrating a simple flight of your drone. I don't want to judge you as I don't know you very well but it may look to others as though you are trying to generate views of your video through the use of heavily exaggerated titles while simultaneously wasting thousands of viewers time with false leads but I thought it would be more fair to ask you directly before passing judgement against you. The video comes as a slight let-down as it has no grand conclusion as the title suggests. It should be retitled to something more appropriate and less fantastic. Now that I've answered your question I hope you will reciprocate with an honest and direct answer.
What did you think was going to happen? He mentions several times this is Canuckistan.
"Pardon me,eh? Terribly sorry for asking, don't you know. But could I possibly/maybe take a few pictures with my super-neato flying camera platform,eh?"
"No problem,eh! I'll be over behind the school eating some back bacon & drinking some non-alcoholic Molsen's"
"Oh,ok eh!" "Thanks,eh!"
"Hey,no problem eh!
"OH NO EH! A BEAVER STOLE MY DRONE,EH!"
Hmmm, the point? The point is that I do aerial vlogs, and people watch them. That is pretty much how youtube works, you post a video for people to watch, and so far it is going pretty well for me with 8,900 subs and 5 million views, not to mention the approximate $9,000.00 I have made from my videos.........Are you understanding the point or shall I explain it a little more?
+cdnstudman Well congrats to you. I like to watch these videos because I think they are pretty cool.
That camera is so clear.
Nice video quality. I'm super-impressed with that drone. Is there image stabilization as well as flight stabilization? That's just incredibly smooth, especially if there's some wind.
This was done with a DJI Phantom 3 Professional. It has a 4K video camera on it that has a gimbal the stabilizes the video even in high winds. Thanks for watching.
+cdnstudman is it the 4k camera and gimbal that comes on the DJI phantom 3? or did you upgrade it?
How long does the battery last on that drone?
20-25 mins usually
+cdnstudman Is there a way that you can zoom in after reviewing the video? Thanks
Enjoyed the suspense to see what happened, cheers
thanks
looks like PSONE GTA graphics as in overhead view lol
That was his usual hide out spot to nap. That's all they do is hide in empty parking lots.
i never thought of it that way , thats way more possible then what i commented ,, i bet you are 100 percent right , according to the vid it looks like the cop is in the shade , i would be willing to bet that you are right
Not be a party pooper but that will get you a felony charge.
Your weren't minding your own business. You were "surveilling". I'm all for drones but call it what it is.
How can they know who the pilot is ?
Related you have to be fairly close so he probably just decided to check
Nice. I am going to buy the phantom 4. This looks so fun.
Enjoy it, they are a lot of fun.
pretty cool...that thing takes crisp clear video
Thanks John
AMAZING HOW STEADY IT IS!
At 3:43 I swear that cop tried to shoot the drone watch
Hhaah had me hooked bro ahah cool story though 😂😂
Thanks Bill
Robert Bateman High School in Burlington, ON?
yes
That was intense
how did they know where you were, is there a way to find out?
they didn't know.
That's what I was wondering since the cop came right to his location.
That is probably the cops hiding spot. lol
drones use a gps signal when you pair it up with any activated device such as a iphone ,,ect ,, the government can access any signal and pinpoint it to the source , the remote is constantly sending and receiving signals from all three devices , the law works for the government , the government gives the law access to whatever the law needs , i never did a search on if the drone itself uses a gps signal when not using along with any other devices such as a iphone , i am sure all the info is somewhere online ,
im pretty sure the cops didnt use the gps in his phone to find him
dont get why people are so butthurt about this guy flying and filming in a public area. All he's doing is fliming in public but in the sky.
Anyway, nice video sounds fun.
the people on the track was on kickbikes
8:08 just NW of the cop car - the incinerator and stack - where is this school that they can run an incinerator?
what is an incinerator
anonymous
A simplified version made of a 55 gallon steel drum without a lid is just called a "burn barrel". :-0)
ask steven avery
Thats not an incinerator, its a furnace.
Mineshafter
Okay, thanks, but that seems pretty rare to have a wood (or coal) open fire furnace for a school.
at 3:42. on the video takes first shot the cop is in the car in front of the ambulance and a cop in front of that car walks over back to the cop that's in front of the ambulance pulls out of hand gun takes aim and fires one single shot
It is juist a reflex of a watch or something
+GamingDude just
oh shit i heard it to, if you listen carefully you can hear it.
cool footage man!
Halton Region?
yes
Nice I just bought one
Hey love ur channel!
TULAREEE
LOL --- cool video, man. I do these kind of random "neighborhood aerial surveillance" vids with my Phantom 3 Pro once in a while. I still havent surveilled the cops yet but I'm hoping to --- sort of citizens monitoring the government, eh?As a friendly tip, you can actually fly a Phantom pretty far while sitting in your car! I made a flyover of the Indy 500 racetrack in Indiana a couple years ago and I did it from a mile away while sitting in my car the whole time. I did that because I was in a parking field that was being patrolled by local police every 20 minutes and I didnt want to attract attention. Type in "Indianapolis Motor Speedway (Drone Flyover)" into UA-cam if you wanna see the footage!
Thanks. I subbed to check it out a bit later.
I'm 100% entertained!
Thanks for watching and I'm glad you enjoyed it.
it only got good when it ended !
They already have a hard enough job, leave them alone.
Maybe we should start a GoFundMe account for bail????????? hehehe
Lol
Lol
what kind a drone are you flying? ? ? a potato? ? ?
Cough cough - 1080P HD
+VideoSimple 4k ***
The cop was just looking for some privacy ;;)
Drone rule n1: *NEVER fly over people*
All drones have eninge failure sooner or later...
Not true, some lose a prop.
"Engine failure" was a bad choise of words, but you seem to miss the point...
Drones have malfunctions. Flying directly over people is pretty irresponsible no matter if its against the law or not in the area, its common sense!
I will disagree with on that. When a drone loses a motor or prop, it doesn't just fall, it usually spins and flys away in any given direction and covers a distance determined by the height of the craft when it failed. These very rarely fall directly down. In my opinion people have created a baseless fear of these over a handful of crashes. Do you see people saying we should stop riding bike, cars, hot air balloons, skateboards, cars, planes or any other moving object just because something might go wrong? DJI makes a quality product that is very reliable and most (not all) crashes are pilot error due to bad calibration. If you ever see a full length uncut version of one of my videos, you will see I do calibration check basically every new flight as that is the crafts weak spot. I appreciate your opinion, however we will have to agree to disagree on that one.
Is it legal to fly or no?
yes, here in canada
I wish I had one of those so I could see what the cops are doing
That was great.
This is good.
At 3:43 looks like a cop took a shot at the drone? You see him point up than a flash>
i thought that too :D but i went back and looked again it looks like he used his hand to talk on his shoulder walkie and his watch reflected the light
Nice video
thanks robinhood
Great footage great flight great commentary it all the detail was on point and I love it I was just reading some of the comments and I see we have a lot of anti-drone people in the lobby shut the hell up get a life people what do you do in your spare time I'm pretty sure of the people is annoyed by what the fuck y'all do get a life drone flying is fun and I respect this guy because this is what I do I have white the video and I'm about to subscribe to your channel and check out more of your videos though I'm a beginner drone flyer I'm two years in I'm getting better as I go and it's always good to get tips from other Pilots
That was awesome!
That's some serious road cracks.
+Muckfoot 88 lol
seriously? anyone expecting the cop to shoot it down?!
that would have been awesome
This is Canada, not America.
Haha
I thought it would be like they send one of those drones with mesh on it up so it could catch the dudes drone
Alexander Gaver this aint no micheal bay movie
You should stay outside for maximum reception, also get a portable radio scanner so you can listen to them and dip out if they say something about going to find you.
...and then we learned no cops were trolled, just viewers screwed over by misleading titles. GFYM!
You stated it wasn't against the law. Well yes and no. In Canada, you are welcome to fly anywhere that's not restricted airspace, including private property, as long as you don't land or take off on said property. But you were flying over vehicles and people. Which is illegal in Canada.
That was great, I enjoy your vlog flights. This one was pretty funny : ))))
Exactly the reason why some people want drones to be banned.
Why? So people in public places can be filmed from the sky rather than from the ground? Oh Noes! Such harm is done!
+Mr Baseball so those drones that the pilots fly over war zones are not drones. Damn, better tell the pilots that they have been wasting their times.
thank you, i tell people that all the time. it is a flying camera as dji says
Go to 3 minutes and 40 seconds when the cop from the cop car all the way on the right walks to the car behind him right when he gets to the door it looks like he fires his weapon tell me it doesn't look like muzzle flash
Great narration to the story there, was funny he didnt see you
My question is.. Why do cops go and "hide" to do paperwork? Like he went ALL out and went BEHIND a school to hide.
So he can get his report done without interruption but still be able to monitor the radio if he is needed.
it was a shaded area maybe
because if people see them sitting they call them lazy cops not doing there job. same for me (at&t) I've been on lunch and had people yell at me for sitting and not working.. people forget we are entitled to lunch and we do paperwork and wait for our next jobs... that's why we are told to find a secluded spot not right in public eye because people are morons who can't mind their own business.....
reading in direct sunlight increases the risk of cataracts forming.
Who the fuck would bother an at&t technician? That's insane.
Leave the bed cover off. You could drive a few blocks away if necessary, and then land the drone right in the back, and be gone.
lol, that might be a fun idea oneday
Wow u really trolled them good
damn that thing is stable. there was a guy looking up on the left
No zoom.
I guess that wasn't really click-bait, but it kinda felt like click bait. I want my 8 minutes back.
Lol! I was recently flying mine over my neighborhood and I noticed a patrol car following it everywhere it would go. At one point I stopped and went in the opposite direction and the cop made a U turn in order to keep following. I was doing nothing illegal but it still gets you freaked out a bit lol. Eventually i shot it up in the air so that he could not see it anymore and brought it down when the coast was clear.
Why did you felt the need to hide the fact that you are flying a drone? Assuming it's not illegal, you're just playing around.
flying above populated areas is not allowed in most countries.
He did it just to avoid any problems, it is not illegal tho
He did it to watch kids make out
In America, you can be abused/killed by police for doing things that are completely legal.
TheLepec93 Yanks for letting us know
Don't fly over other people property/cars/urban areas. Every UAV will come down, luckily with the speed and to the location you want, but what if one motor, ESC, battery, whatever, fails? what if you hit someone? Just don't do it.
I'm good, thanks for the tip.
And also never cross the street either because what if you get hit by a car.?
OK you might be "good" but honestly it's people like you who are ruining the hobby for everyone else. These machines are still unpredictable. One small mistake and it's going down. The many people who are flying in an irresponsible mannor is why the FAA is now breathing down our necks. We've seen more from the FAA about "drones" than about model aircraft which has been around for many years. With more and more people flying these machines, you can't forget that this isn't a toy and you will hurt someone or their property. Sure hope you have insurance on that thing and a good lawyer when that does happen.
Joe Yount Good post. And remember, mechanical failure is always a possibility even if you are really careful, and have great quality gear.
Damm bro, how the hell did this guy find you. Glad you didn’t get hassled.
I'm just waiting for the disruptor device for knocking these damn things out of the sky. Fucking age of privacy invasion.
How did the cop know u were there? Can they track it somehow?
Whats the range of the video feed?
your mom
i have gone 5km
Nice.. I'm trying hard to justify buying one of these drones. i worry that I would get bored with it after a few flights, then I have a $800 paperweight taking up space and collecting dust.
Beautiful truck!! Jealous. Haha.
Thanks RC
+cdnstudman I'm near there
Doesn't seem like you really did anything illegal. Not sure why there are all these remote ID comments.
Ps. Your drone probably has remote ID enabled, so the cops could track your location.
And with this video you are trolling you subscribers.......= UNSUBSCRIBED......
How did he know exactly where to go to find you?!
That's what I was wondering.
You make no sense at all. Why fly your toy and film these cops, but scared to be contacted doing so? You want to be nosey, but please don't find me!...creepy & sad...you're a bad example for our youth.
