sound and effects actually go to MOWAS2. You can clearly see trees moving from the shockwave, the way the smoke rolls back after the dispersment. It's a lot more detailed than CoH2.

only diffrencs boys & girls is that COH Series askes you pay for DLC to play US & German Story DLC and even to play nations in a MP. While MOW Series recent dev in their latest product has been a bust for them, overall much more content with their games & affordable price tags.
MOWAS2 is when you wanna play something more simulational, less about the units, more about positioning and tactics. CoH 2 is an RTS game, through and through. You have set squads, Set vehicles, little to no chance in types of ammunition or weapons they can equip.
Both are pretty mid when looked at close up tbh. CoH2 has some more details, but they're still sloppy. Both of the games have pretty good sound effects for their respective styles, although I tend to feel more when hearing CoH2 sounds. Like come on, the deafening of the entire battlefield with the Sturmtiger's shot lands is the best.
As a both player I really gotta say it... CoH2 > AS2 I really like AS2, it's an extremely fun game, but CoH2 doesn't need you to dig around for an archive of the video tutorials, read the communist manifesto, and install a QoL mod to fix some of the keybinds because some features came unbind to begin with.

I just want another rts with base building, every rts is the same now, you have limited units and points, have fun! What happened to games like C&C, AOW, CoH1, Empire Earth, Surpreme Commander, ect i could go on, those games are anywhere from 10 to 20 Years old today, what happened?? Today with most rts games its just "you get what you get, tough luck" what happened to experimention with defenses and buildings

Micromanaging every units is unrealistic and unnecessary. Steel division sweeps. Large scale > detail
